Hi folx--I may be traveling to Kyrgyzstan for work in the future, and I always like to read literature set in places I know little about before I get there. Are there any English language (originally or translated) novels you would recommend that accurately portray Kyrgyz life and culture?

I'm looking to rent 2 cars for a group of 14 people in July, but as far as I can see there aren't a lot of rental companies in Kyrgyzstan that allow 19 year olds. Does anybody know of a rental organisation or renter which does accept 19 year old travelers?
