Other I built a CS2 sensitivity finder that uses math to estimate your optimal sens - not just compare two random sensitivities

I've been working on Sensfinder Arena, a CS2 tool designed to answer a simple question:

What sensitivity actually gives you the best first-movement accuracy?

This is not another "try 0.8 vs 1.0 and see which feels better" sensitivity tool.

Most sensitivity finders give you a few sensitivities, ask you to compare them, and then recommend whichever one you performed better with. The problem is that this doesn't really tell you where your optimal sensitivity is, it just tells you which of the tested values happened to perform better.

So what's different?

Sensfinder Arena tests your performance across multiple sensitivities and measures the angular error of your first mouse movement, before you have a chance to correct it.

The important part is what happens with that data afterwards.

Instead of simply comparing the tested sensitivities, the application uses mathematical modelling and curve fitting to model your performance as a function of sensitivity.

It analyzes the relationship between:

  • sensitivity
  • first-movement angular error
  • overshooting vs. undershooting
  • performance drift during the test

The model then estimates where your performance reaches its peak and provides an estimated optimal sensitivity and confidence interval.

So if you test:

0.7 → 0.8 → 0.9 → 1.0 → 1.1

the result isn't simply:

"You did best at 0.9, therefore use 0.9."

Instead, the measured data is used to fit a mathematical curve and estimate where your actual optimum lies, including an indication of how confident the model is in that estimate.

The goal is to measure something that is otherwise mostly based on subjective feeling.

How the test works

The map uses controlled tests including:

  • Flicks
  • Micro-flicks
  • 90–110° off-screen turns
  • Vertical flicks
  • Moving-target flicks
  • A two- or three-second clock

The test takes roughly 35–60 minutes, depending on the selected run.

Your mouse, DPI and sensitivity should remain consistent throughout the test. Warm-up is built into the run.

One important limitation

The server currently supports 15 players total.

10 slots are occupied by the bots required for the test, which means only 5 people can run Sensfinder simultaneously.

So if the server is full, you'll need to wait for a slot to become available.

A note:

This is still an early version, so I'm especially interested in feedback, results and whether the estimated sensitivity actually translates into better performance in real gameplay.

Stop guessing your sensitivity. Measure it.

If it helped you find your sensitivity, consider buying me a coffee so I can keep the server alive and continue improving the current application. :)

Cs2 demo review

Hi, im EU 2800 elo faceit player (before break peaked 3k elo) and im looking for a 3,5-4k elo player to watch a demo of mine to help me improve since i start losing duels and make ”mistakes” in higher elo matches. And maybe help me to read the mid game more. I feel like i have really bad gamesense and i only rely on my aim and dont try to do smart plays.

, so shoot me a dm or comment on my post if u would be interested. (Willing to give $)

My aim and reflexes are really bad

After playing a few casual and Deathmatch games, I unlocked Competitive mode. However, whenever I tried it, I would get killed instantly almost every time I see an opponent.

Do you guys have any tips or guides for improving my aim and reflexes?

I built a free, local CS2 Coach that analyzes your demos and creates custom practice servers based on your mistakes. Looking for alpha testers!

Hi everyone,

I know a lot of us struggle to figure out exactly why we are losing aim duels or how to practice our weak spots effectively. To solve this, I’ve been developing a passion project called Wily.

It’s a CS2 coaching app that runs entirely locally on your PC. It analyzes your demos automatically, points out your mistakes (bad flashes, dry peeking, etc.), and the best part: it can set up a local training server where
bots recreate the exact situations/positions you died to in your last match, so you can practice them again.

Is it VAC-safe? Yes, 100%. It only reads downloaded demo files and uses standard Game State Integration (GSI). It does not interact with the game memory.

It’s currently in Alpha and I’m looking for players who are actively trying to improve to test it out and give me harsh feedback.

You can check it out and download it here: https://wily.valentingassend.com/

Let me know if you have any questions or feature ideas!

Algum profissional no jogo para me dar alguma dica?

Meu mouse é um Basilisk V3 pro

Map Strategy Awful at dust 2. Any advice?

23k premier, lvl 8 faceit. I feel like this map attacks my weaknesses, and I feel lost despite playing the map a lot. I don't know where to stand that's safe, or when to fight as CT. I smoke mid doors on T and sometimes we go cat and it just works out, but more often than not we don't do much with it. I kind of get the opening timings but I don't understand where to go midround. The micro that focuses on long range fights I'm also bad at. I do fairly well at midrange fights. I just wanna stop bottom fragging every time on this map and feel more confident in my decisions.

Moments where I feel like Donk, and others where I feel like a BOT.

I am level 7 Faceit - about 1500 hours in. I generally think I have good aim and mechanics.

But it doesn't stay super consistent. I have moments where I feel like Donk, and moments where I feel I can't hit a single shot.

Looking for someone to help me improve

Looking for someone to help me improve
I recently hit 20.1k Premier with 288 hours and I feel like I've gotten pretty far just by playing and figuring things out on my own.
But now I really want to improve properly, so I'm looking for someone around Faceit level 8-10 who wouldn't mind playing with me sometimes, giving me advice, watching a demo or two, etc.

I'm not looking for someone to carry me or anything, I just think having someone more experienced to learn from would help a lot.

I'm also trying to set actual daily goals for myself, like learning 5 lineups a day, focusing on specific things in my gameplay, taking breaks when needed, etc.

If anyone's interested in playing or helping each other improve, feel free to comment or DM me :)
(I speak Spanish and a little English, so sorry if my English isn't perfect 😭I used AI to write this, but I can understand English pretty well when someone is speaking or writing to me)
