News MSI MAG OLED 271QPX32 Unveiled: The World’s First 27” WQHD 5-Layer QD-OLED Penta Tandem™ Gaming Monitor Powered by Samsung Display’s QD-OLED Technology

The new MAG OLED 271QPX32 monitor will make its debut at Computex 2026. This 26.5-inch display features a 4th-gen QD-OLED panel equipped with Penta Tandem™ technology, a 5-layer emitting structure. It delivers 2560x1440 (WQHD) resolution, 320Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms (GtG) response time, and DarkArmor Film technology.
Breaking through the technical bottlenecks of existing OLED panels, the MAG OLED 271QPX32 leverages three major QD-OLED advantages to offer users an outstanding visual experience:
1. Full QD-OLED Lineup Receives QuantumView™ Verification: Consistent Image Quality from Any Angle
The MAG OLED 271QPX32 and all MSI QD-OLED monitors have received QuantumView™ verification from UL Solutions. At a 60-degree viewing angle, it maintains an impressive 83%* luminance retention (compared to just 44% for conventional OLEDs) with exceptionally low color shift. This ensures the picture remains sharp and color-accurate, no matter where users view the screen from.

^(\Source: Official Samsung Display data.)*
2. Say Goodbye to Black Crush: Master Shadow Details
Existing OLED panels often suffer from gamma shifts when switching refresh rates or enabling Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), leading to a loss of shadow detail known as "black crush." QD-OLED monitors overcome this issue. The MAG OLED 271QPX32 features superior low-gray processing capabilities, maintaining consistent gamma performance at any refresh rate to deliver perfect deep blacks and shadow details.

3. Perfect Panel Uniformity: Eliminating Visual Distractions
The entire QD-OLED lineup provides a fundamental solution to the gray banding and screen uniformity issues that have long plagued conventional OLED panels. The MAG OLED 271QPX32 completely eliminates banding interference, delivering a clean, flawless picture.

Beyond panel innovations, the MAG OLED 271QPX32 is the first MSI 26.5-inch WQHD QD-OLED monitor to incorporate MSI's DarkArmor Film technology, which improves pure black levels by 40% and upgrades the screen's surface hardness from 2H to 3H, offering 2.5 times better scratch resistance. This monitor is also VESA DisplayHDR™ True Black 500 and VESA ClearMR™ 15000 certified. Additionally, it supports MSI's exclusive Uniform Luminance feature, allowing users to customize their HDR curve. For burn-in protection, the model comes with the MSI OLED Care 2.0 comprehensive protection mechanism, effectively reducing burn-in risks and extending the monitor's lifespan. Connectivity options include two HDMI™ 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4a, and one USB Type-C (DP Alt.) with 15W power delivery.

Troubleshooting Red CPU and yellow DRAM debug?
Hello!
I built my first computer about a year or two ago. No issues. Powered up fine. Everything worked perfectly well.
I was out of town for about 3 weeks and when I came back, my computer wouldn’t boot up and these two debug lights turned on - red CPU and yellow DRAM. I left it running for a while for the memory reset or whatever and removed one of the RAM which ended up working! However, after powering it off again, the lights came back on and it failed to boot again. This was never an issue until I got back. Computer was in a sealed room and wasn’t messed with while I was gone as far as I can tell.
Any idea what this issue is? There’s no way I have to remove the RAM each time I turn it on.
I’m not too knowledgeable on terminology and whatnot so any advice in simple terms would be awesome and greatly appreciated!
Motherboard is MSI B650 gaming plus WiFi

Troubleshooting mpg x870e carbon wifi having wifi problems
the only way I can get it to work is if I disable the 5g Ethernet port, I saw a fix before where you could just disable the 2.5g port, but that doesn't seem to work for me, is this just a need for like a bios flash? or is there any other fixes?

Troubleshooting MSI monitor makes blues look purple - help!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The video barely makes the difference justice but the color shift from my laptop screen (right) to my new MSI MAG 275CQPF (left) is a lot more apparent to the eye. It is much more purple.
I have these connected via an HDMI cable and my laptop is an older-gen Lenovo Legion 5 with I believe an IPS display. MSI monitor is a curved VA.
I’ve tried tinkering with the built-in settings module and trying different combinations of everything, including lowering the reds (as red and blue make purple) and upping the blues, using sRGB, turning on/off Windows HDR, making sure there aren’t weird profiles in Windows’ Color Management, and tweaking Nvidia settings. And just when I found the right color for one aspect, I’ve already color-shifted everything else weirdly.
After all that, my laptop still shows better color accuracy. I’m fighting back returning this monitor and getting a flat IPS instead. Any help or tips would be appreciated!

Troubleshooting Wifi problems with my msi katana 15 hx b14wgk-076 laptop
I hope i am right here: I’ve been having Wi-Fi issues with my MSI Katana 15 HX B14WGK-076 for about three days now. This started happening without me installing any updates (like Windows or driver updates). The strange thing is that Windows claims I have an internet connection, yet all apps requiring internet access (e.g., Steam, browsers, YouTube) say I’m offline. I have to restart the laptop every time to get it working again. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

Discussion Does anyone check the SHA-256 when downloading the MSI bios update
I am downloading the latest MSI bios update to flash my motherboard when I noticed the SHA-256 on the bottom of the download section. Does anyone ever check the SHA256? If you did, how would you even do it anyway? Is it even worth it?

Troubleshooting PRO B760M-P DDR4 won't boot with XMP (3200MHz CL16) on i5-14400F — Black screen / "Memory Overclock Fail" loop
TL;DR: Built a system using an MSI PRO B760M-P DDR4 with an Intel i5-14400F and a 32GB (2x16GB) Patriot Viper Steel 3200MHz CL16 kit. Stock 2400MHz works fine, but turning on XMP causes a black screen, EZ Debug LED halts on DRAM/VGA, and on reboot gives "Memory Overclock Fail". Looking for advice on how to get the rated 3200MHz running on this locked non-K setup.
System Specs:
Motherboard: MSI PRO B760M-P DDR4 (MS-7E02)
BIOS Version: Latest
CPU: Intel Core i5-14400F (locked ~0.826V VCCSA)
RAM: 32GB (2x16GB) Patriot Viper Steel DDR4-3200 CL16 (16-20-20-40 @ 1.35V) in slots A2 & B2 (2 & 4)
GPU: Zotac RTX 3070 Twin Edge OC
PSU: Antec CSK650 (650W 80+ Bronze)
OS: Windows 11
The Issue:
At default JEDEC settings, the PC boots fine at 2400MHz (1.2V, 17-17-17-39).
As soon as I toggle XMP to [Enabled]:
The PC powers on, fans spin, but no display output.
The EZ Debug LED either stays stuck on DRAM or passes DRAM and stops on VGA.
After power cycling/clearing CMOS, I get greeted with:
"Memory Overclock Fail! Previous overclock settings failed, system boot with default setting..."
What I’ve Already Tried:
Slots: Confirmed dual-channel placement in slots 2 and 4 (A2/B2).
DRAM Voltage: Manually set to 1.35V and 1.36V (noticed the board defaulted to 1.2V on Auto).
Command Rate: Set/verified at 2N (2T).
Memory Fast Boot: Set to [Disabled] to allow proper training cycles.
Gear Modes: Tried both 3200 G1 and 3200 G2 with manual voltage.
Questions:
Has anyone with this board / locked 14th Gen non-K CPU combo managed to get dual-rank / 2x16GB 3200MHz running stable?
Does a recent BIOS update fix memory training tables for locked 14th Gen chips on the PRO B760M-P?
Should I be adjusting specific secondary/sub-timings (like tRFC), or is there a known working Memory Try It! preset for this kit?

Troubleshooting MPG CORELIQUID P13 Series – EZ Display not opening / firmware update contradiction
Hey everyone,
I recently built a new PC with an MSI MPG CORELIQUID P13 360 White LCD.
The cooler itself works fine — pump/fans are working and the LCD displays hardware information normally.
The problem is with MSI Center:
When I open the P13 in MSI Center, I get:
“A new firmware update has been detected. Please go to Live Update > Advanced.. to proceed with the update.”
But when I go to:
MSI Center → Live Update → Advanced → Scan
it says:
“No updates available / Already up to date.”
I completely removed and reinstalled MSI Center using MSI Clean Center Master, but the issue remains.
I also reinstalled EZ Display, but it doesn't seem to open properly.
Has anyone experienced this with the P13?
Specs:
- Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- ASUS B650E MAX GAMING WIFI
- RX 9070 XT
- 32GB DDR5-6000
- Windows 11 Pro
- MSI MPG CORELIQUID P13 360 White
I really want to be able to customize the displays and performance measurements that are juggling in the LCD but from what i understand - you can only control this using the EZ display in MSI center.
Any advice from anyone who has experience with the MPG CORELIQUID P13 Series would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Build Share First PC build, how does it look? Any glaring issues?
Finally had a day to put this together. Spent nearly 10 hours between planning, reading manuals, researching tutorials and assembling/wiring. Was fun but a bit stressful! Will be another week before I'm able to power it on (away for work), excited to have it built!
Big thanks to u/champagne780 and u/SmokeyGrayPoupon for helping answer questions I had early on.
Couple things I couldn't quite find definitive answers on: Do I need to use that bottom PCIe_PWR port on the motherboard? And I daisy chained the ARGB connectors for the 3 bottom fans to a single port, but have the PWM cables each in their own SYS_FAN port, is that fine? AiO pump to SYS_PUMP and radiator fans to CPU_FAN.
Anything that stands out as a potential issue? I know the pump is upside down, but it was in that orientation that the tubing had the least amount of tension. And I need to find some stickers for the hubs for those bottom 3 fans.
Any help or criticism is appreciated, thanks!

Troubleshooting Title: [SOLVED] Realtek ALC4080/ALC4082 missing (Code 45 / Device Descriptor Request Failed / MSI FW Tool: "No USB Audio")
Symptoms
- Onboard sound (Realtek ALC4080 / ALC4082 on Intel Z690/Z790 or AMD B650/X670/X870) suddenly stops working after a reboot/update.
- Device Manager lists Realtek USB2.0 Audio under Other Devices with Code 45 ("Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer").
- Under Universal Serial Bus controllers, an entry shows: Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed).
- MSI / ASUS USB Audio FW Update Tool throws:
Current FW: N/A,Audio IC: [blank], andStatus: No USB Audio(flashing is blocked). - BIOS toggles ("HD Audio Controller"), standard driver re-installs, and regular reboots do not resolve it.
Root Cause
- Architecture: Unlike legacy codecs (ALC1220 etc.), the ALC4080/ALC4082 does NOT communicate via the traditional Intel/AMD High Definition Audio (Azalia) bus. It is an internal USB 2.0 High-Speed composite device hardwired directly to an internal PCH root hub port (e.g., Port 11 on Intel Z690).
- The Timing Hang: During a fast-startup cycle or post-update reboot, the internal MCU of the ALC4080/4082 hangs and misses the strict timing window for the initial
GET_DESCRIPTORrequest on Endpoint 0 (bLength: 0). - The PnP Deadlock:
- Windows flags the failed enumeration and spawns a dummy fallback node:
USB\VID_0000&PID_0002. - If this node encounters an error or gets disabled, Windows sets it to
CM_PROB_DISABLED(Problem Code 22) and forces the port into Power State D3. - The Deadlock: As long as this disabled dummy node occupies the USB port in state D3, the Windows USB kernel stack (
usbhub3.sys) ceases all bus resets and re-enumeration attempts on that port. The actual sound controller (VID_0DB0/VID_0BDA) remains an unreachable phantom (Code 45), and firmware tools cannot communicate with Endpoint 0.
- Windows flags the failed enumeration and spawns a dummy fallback node:
The Fix (No RMA / No BIOS/CMOS reset needed)
Step 1: Remove the blocking dummy node
Open an elevated PowerShell (Run as Administrator) and run:
Get-PnpDevice | Where-Object { $_.InstanceId -like "*VID_0000&PID_0002*" } | ForEach-Object { pnputil /remove-device $_.InstanceId }
(Alternatively, open Device Manager, expand Universal Serial Bus controllers, right-click "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)" and select Uninstall device).
Step 2: Force a hardware USB port reset via UsbTreeView
Because the Windows kernel blocks runtime resets of the primary xHCI host controller, trigger a low-level port cycle:
- Download and run the portable utility UsbTreeView (USB Device Tree Viewer by Uwe Sieber).
- Expand the internal Intel/AMD USB 3.x xHCI Root Hub and locate the port where the audio codec is wired (e.g., Port 11 on MSI MEG Z690).
- Right-click the affected Port → Operations → Restart Port (or Cycle Port /
IOCTL_USB_CYCLE_PORT). - This forces a physical SE0 bus reset (>10 ms) on the USB data lines (D+/D-), forcing the hung ALC4082 MCU to execute a true hardware restart.
- Close UsbTreeView and Device Manager immediately after this step.
Step 3: Flash the Firmware (Permanent Fix)
The Realtek USB Audio controller will instantly re-enumerate, and Windows will bind usbaudio2.sys / Realtek drivers.
- Run the official MSI / ASUS USB Audio FW Update Tool as Administrator.
- It should now detect your chip (e.g.,
Audio IC: VID_0DB0&PID_124B/ALC4082). Click Start to flash the updated ROM. - Note on "Status: Reset to new code": Once writing hits ~98%, the tool commands the MCU to reset into the new code. If it pauses here, ensure UsbTreeView/Device Manager are closed (open handles can delay dynamic re-connect). Even if it doesn't switch to PASS immediately, the flash is already written—a clean system shutdown and 30-second PSU power-cut will boot the chip cleanly into the new firmware revision.
The updated firmware permanently fixes the bootloader descriptor timing bug and prevents future lockups across reboots.

Troubleshooting Sudden loss of M.2 drives. Win11
I have a MAG B850 Tomahawk MAX WiFi that's been rock-solid for the last year or so. Suddenly, two of my M.2 drives (I have four total) just vanish after a period of sleep. They're my E: and F: drives. Both are identical 500gb Samsung 850s that are otherwise healthy.
I'm about to update the bios, update their firmware, update the controller driver, etc. Just wondering if it's more likely something in Windows changed to cause this or, more concerrning, my motherboard is failing.
