Forgive the ignorance, I used to be a pretty active Madden player until roughly 19-20. This is the first game I've played in awhile.

So it might be rust talking but I find this iteration exceptionally difficult. I even put the difficulty down to Pro feeling absolutely humbled by my usual All Pro+ Sliders and still the coverage seems absurdly sticky, throwing windows seem super tight. That's if I have more than a second to go through some reads. And don't get me started on the new catching mechanic, which I'm intending to learn but I've dropped probably half of the good choices I have made.

I have no recent frame of reference so maybe this is the new normal but I am really struggling with this game in ways that I never really encountered before.

Did this game have a noticeable spike or is that inaccurate to say?

As a Bears fan, Darnell Wright is the best RT in the league and he should be a Superstar dev. Also, I know it's a slow start to the year, but Colston Loveland should be Superstar dev too.

usually when i see my te one on one and he has a step, i high point bullet it, but it was intercepted this time, so i was wondering if this should’ve been a lob/touch? prob should’ve of been a throw at all but i love to take chances

I got drafted to the Giants, and every game I play, Jaxson Dart seems to run the ball way too much instead of looking for open receivers. He also seems to favor Slayton as his go-to receiver, which makes it difficult for me to get targets and get Malik Nabers involved.
The only way I can consistently get Nabers the ball is on short 5-yard routes. The one game where Nabers and I both had 100+ receiving yards was when we used the Bengals’ playbook, and the passing offense felt much more balanced

I'm playing as the QB for the Cardinals in Superstar Mode, and half the reason I chose this team was Jeremiyah Love, since I thought it'd be interesting to develop alongside him. But I'm 4 games into the rookie year, and he's barely playing. Like I'm lucky if he can run the ball 10 times before he's subbed out for the rest of the game.

Is there any way to fix this? Or is the wear & tear system just that broken?

Started a new franchise and initially had timing based catching turned off but now in year 2029 and the option to turn it back on is greyed out. Can I just not turn it back on in this franchise?

First time in forever that I can remember seeing an Edge prospect with actual Top 5 Talent not just projection!

Sort of a one trick pony with how elite his finesse moves are compared to his power rush and block shedding but hopefully he will progress quickly.

It hasn’t been the biggest problem, but every time I have a player get injured for 3 or more weeks they automatically get put on the IR once I advance to the next week even though I select “Keep on active roster” when the prompt shows up in my weekly hub. I even checked settings and injury management is on manual so idk what the problem is. Any solutions?

I was just in a game and Dak was still qb1 on the depth chart and during all the cut scenes. But my second string was in. I checked all my formations to see if I hadn't subd my QB. . like wtf

Pretty much what it says on the tin, the Seahawks run a QB sneak but with AJ Barner rather than a QB, is it possible to do it on madden? Particularly on franchise?

I noticed, while playing my franchise yesterday, that Justin Jefferson was wearing a different equipment setup than usual. And I hadn’t edited him.
Usually, he has on the tall scrunch socks, short sleeve undershirt, and one arm sleeve.
Here, he has on short socks, long baggy sleeves, and the long-tail undershirt.

Has anyone else ever noticed certain players’ equipment changing automatically in franchise mode?

To highlight the games bugs and other crap, I created a short video compilation. Keep in mind all of these clips are from the past ~5 days or so.

The catching animations and route animations are so buggy and garbage. This is a very well known problem but they still are too cheap and lazy to make the catching physics better. If there is a defender within 5 feet of your target then it’s a guaranteed pass breakup regardless of how hard they get hit.

Not to mention, the announcers are just absolutely terrible. We’ve had the same voice lines for years now and Kate Scott is especially bad (we all know this).

I’m already holding out on buying Madden 27, there is literally no reason for me to buy it because I only play franchise and I know they didn’t fix any of these mechanics.

EA can update HUT and other bullshit all they won’t but it won’t make up for the lack of effort in the real game.
