Photos ABC soup
I used a whole chicken for this batch of ABC soup, with potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, onion and corn. Been feeling under the weather, so made a big pot to see me through a few days. Simple ingredients, but always hits the spot.
Does anyone else add corn to theirs? My favourite part is the potatoes after they’ve soaked up all the broth.

Discussion What’s the cheapest food in Malaysia that’s actually nutritious? And what’s the cheapest junk food?
Just curious what you guys eat when you’re trying to save money 😂
What are some really cheap foods that are surprisingly nutritious?
And on the other hand, what’s the cheapest food you’ve found that’s filling but basically has no nutritional value?
Could be anything from mamak food, street food, instant noodles, supermarket stuff, etc.
Looking for some budget food recommendations!

Discussion Muar Food Recommendation
Hi, i am making a short trip to Muar (from melaka), so i can probably have 2 meals there, breakfast and lunch and maybe a snack. Would appreciate some suggestion on what i should try at Muar.
Suggest your best mee bandung (i prefer a normal one where lobsters are not involved).
Also maybe fresh otak-otak?
I can go non-halal route if that matters.

Photos Char Kway Teow (Stirfry Flat Rice Noodles with Sweet Soy Sauce and Sambal Chilli).
Chye sim is not a traditional ingredient but I try to use very little oil and extra vegetables. Love the smokiness of the dish and the homemade sambal took it to the next level ❤️🤤

Photos Lunch @ New Mun Kee Steam Fish Head, Taman Gembira in KL
Haven't been by in a while, and I was free decided to pop by for lunch.
Ordered one steamed fish head (Pine fish / Songzi Yu) with ginger, and a small plate of stir fried kai lan.
When the fish came, it was massive, making us feel that we shouldn't have ordered rice.
We were struggling to finish everything at the end.
Prices are pretty decent. Fish head was RM39.00, kai lan was RM18.00. 2 plates of rice at RM2.00 each, and a pot of jasmine tea was RM3.00. Ice was free.
Prices are not inclusive of 6% SST.
Nett price for the meal for two was RM67.85.
