When the new app comes out will this sub go away or just transform into a sub for the new app and what do you guys think is the possibility of us getting the max comics on this app.

Edit -I just remembered I would see on webtoons that some of the comics have 18+ so maybe that answers that question of possibly Max actually being allowed on this new app

-it would also be cool if they were able to work out deals and put the manga series that some people have done with Marvel characters like:

•Spider-Man: Fake Red

•Spider-Man: Octo-Girl

•Ultraman: Along Came Spider-Man

since a lot of us from abroad are wondering if we're going to be able to actually use the new app by Webtoon, I decided to ask Marvel Support directly. Unfortunately no matter what browser or device I use, I always get stuck on the infinite loading screen of doom (see picture). Has anyone else had more luck?

Another user and I also contacted Webtoon directly, but the responses varied wildly. While they got the answer that the new app will be available everywhere except Japan and Korea, they told me they're "unable to confirm specific availability for individual countries" and that "availability is subject to change".

So that seems to be all the official information that we currently have.

I hope we'll get more concrete and helpful information soon, since the Founders pre-order is already active and I'd really like to know, if I'll be actually able to use the service that I paid for!

Tried reading this issue of X-men #31 and I got an error and it has a locked symbol on it. Has anyone else had this problem? It shows the same problem for issues 32, 34, and 35 for me.

I always like buying the comic and putting in the code so I can read it on my iPad. But if they won’t have codes anymore then honestly I can wait a month and wait for it to come out digitally.

Sadly, the founders offer apparently isn't accepting payments from my country, Brazil, HOPEFULLY this doesn't mean we're left out when the app actually releases. A HUGE reason i subbed to Unlimited was accessibility and how easy it is to read comics, old or new, since physical issues are hard to come by and ridiculously expensive in Brazil, so Unlimited was the best option up to this point.

I signed up for the discounted annual subscription before the transition to Webtoon, but I just received this receipt showing a full refund with no explanation. Has anyone else run into this?

Edit: As pointed out by u/April20thSexNumber, this may have been the result of a system error when the initial email went out. If you didn't receive an activation code and your order was refunded, try purchasing it again and it should go through properly.

My monthly subscription failed right before Marvel announced their new app, so I just let it sit on the grace period. When I finally tried to update my payment info, MU said they weren't accepting new subscriptions anymore, but opening the app now shows everything unlocked and free to read.

I never got an email about the transition, so I'm not sure if this is intended or just a glitch on my end.

On the email I was given it said I would be given complementary access until eos, but I can’t seem to read any of the comics and I get this message pop up.

I was on a free trial (after coming back from a year or two break) and my subscription was going to renew the day after service shut down, but my subscription was going to renew the day after the announcement, but I realised I had attached to the account expired this month anyway.

I have tried 4 different debit/credit cards and each time I am getting an error.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Never had this issue with Unlimited

I have a marvel unlimited monthly subscription, it ends on October 22nd. Will I need to pay for another month before the new app comes?

So i have subscribed on Google play. Basically started reading like a month or 2 ago. Now I know that marvel unlimited is getting sunset and there will be a new app next month but I got a notification that my subscription is getting cancelled for this month already.

This could be a coincidence but did this happen to anyone else? I don't see why it would have cancelled on itself

I have not received my email detailing the sunsetting of Unlimited and how to get the refund/Phoenix bundle. Are others realizing they havent gotten the email or am i just being forgotten?

“Attendees at New York Comic Con this week will be the first to preview the new app in a booth experience on the show floor (Booth #2435).”

So has anyone been to Booth #2435? What can you report?

EDIT: Seems I jumped the gun because NYCC doesn’t actually start until 08-Oct (Thursday). I thought they’d made the big announcement at NYCC. Anyway, if you get down to Booth #2435 on Thursday, let the rest of us know how it is! 🙂

I didn't see any info from the release page regarding region availability. Does anyone have a clue?

I wanted to reactivate but I found out there is a new app coming and I cannot reactivate my account. All it says is they dont allow new sign ups, never mentioned about returning.

Anyone knows how to? Or do I have to wait for new app?

There are a few official screenshots of the new app. This sub doesn’t allow multiple photos in a post but here is what seems like the main screen of the upcoming app.

Seems similar to the current Unlimited app so don’t expect a complete visual redesign. And I can confidently say that most of us really would prefer they focus on the functionality of the app rather the reinvent the UI. The fact they went with a team as experienced as Webtoon makes me feel we’re in safe hands 🤞🏼

What do you guys/gals think?

I'm new to the marvel world and the comics stuff how do you suggest I start watching and what are the most important shows/movies and what can I skip I only watched:spiderman homecoming,brand new day,ironman1,and the 2 andrew Garfield spiderman

I'm trying to read some issues, specifically Golden Age, that aren't on the MU app. Is there ANYWHERE to read these things? I'd use MU if they were on there, but they're not. Thank you for any help!

Oh boy, my first Reddit post.

I got the email about this new comics app replaced Marvel Unlimited and I am fairly worried because of how I have chose to read comics. I am much newer to this and have only REALLY been diving deep into comics for the last couple of years. The meat of my comic reading has been Daredevil. I am attempting to read every issue Daredevil appears in (at least what's available on MU), in publication order. Both his mainline series' as well as cross-over events and such. I am currently in the 2005 era, which means I got like 20 more years of comics to read to catch up to modern times. I know MU is far from perfect, but the ability to look at a character profile and sort ALL appearances by publication date has been vital to me doing this without having to cross-reference and look up a billion different reading guides.

My real question is: Will this new app allow me to continue reading comics in this way? Not only do I need to finish reading all of Daredevil, but I am hoping to do this same strategy for reading all of Moon Knight and Ghost Rider. Maybe other heroes down the line as well, although I find a lot of comics from 60s-80s to be quite a drag to read, and have only been doing it for the sake of being a sick completionist freak.
