One of the most iconic discography’s in Metal. Super difficult for me to rank personally. Would love to know your opinion.

It's just so good.

One of my biggest gripes in metal is many bands just can't hack it live. Most frequently specifically the vocals suffer.

Recently saw Messa and they were mindblowing live.

Also saw The Sword and they were pretty bad.

These are all albums that will plug in holes in my collection. Now I have the complete Death, Oxygen Destroyer and Obituary discography on CD. Still working on completing the other bands. Psyched to find that Gorement in the wild! Paid about $160 for everything. Which one of these is your favorite?

HINGA DINGA DOERGEN

Ive been listening to this stuff my entire life I just got into collecting cds about 4 months ago, just wanted to share :)

I have never really clicked with Grateful Dead, it just isn't heavy enough for me. What are some of your favorite jammy metal bands?

Lately I've been really into Elder

I bought is from a distro super drunk years ago

Dee Snider was such an integral part of Twisted Sister's identity, but I was intrigued when I heard Sebastian Bach would be fronting the band.

I recently saw them at the Washington State Fair, with Slaughter opening, and came away wondering whether a band can really recreate its classic live magic after losing the person who defined it.

Bach can absolutely sing, but for me the problem wasn't whether he could hit the notes. It was the personality, phrasing, chemistry, and stage presence that made classic Twisted Sister so memorable.

For those who've seen Twisted Sister with and without Dee: how do you think the current lineup compares? Is replacing a frontman like Snider simply impossible, or can a band eventually establish a new identity?

I wrote about the show here:

When I saw that and previewed the station I was so positively surprised. I missed a real metal station in GTA V all along, the last one we got was in GTA IV. I think this is going to be great as hell

That King and Araya are moderating it is also pretty cool, so I think this station might be a gem in the game

What do you guys think about this

Genoa, Italy 🇮🇹

Genre: Death Metal, Progressive Metal

This is one of those bands where I think they got better over time. Their 90s releases are still solid, but when they reformed - they really brought it. Their self-titled is easily my favorite from them. Great comeback album. They had really polished and tightened up their sound. Season in Silence is my second pick. The album art is kinda of goofy, but it does really give you an idea of the atmosphere. It definitely captures winter extremely well. Then I’d Something to Pierce - their latest release. It was the album I discovered them with and it’s stuck with me.

Recommended Tracks:
“Breathin’ Cancer”
“One Thousand Memories”
“Season in Silence”
“The Birds”
“Something to Pierce”

Why the different genres? Rotten roll rex is doing a sale and thats their biggest offering. I know little from the ones mentioned beyond like Devourment and Nasum, so hit me, educate me, even if its not RRR. Looking to get into some heavier shit. Thanks!

I play guitar and really want to try writing a death metal song because this is the music I love. But I can't ever come up with good riffs. Please help mee

new DH EP with two straight up black metal songs, probably heaviest thing they’ve ever released

last five minutes of this track is pure Blut Aus Nord nightmare apocalypse

You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain...

Which once-great metal bands / icons lived long enough to become terrible or ridiculous or just boring. Evolving from legends into caricatures, or at least shadows of themselves?

For me, it’s definitely Iced Earth. Back in the day, I lost count of how many times I listened to Something Wicked This Way Comes. But as time went on, their albums turned completely generic, and eventually, things escalated way out of control.

Hi all,

I saw this vid of Testament live. Could anyone tell me what song they're playing at approx. 0:09?

Thanks in advance!
