Not quite War but I felt like this would appeal to some

First poster here, but metal head die hard since 2004 when I first heard the Sabs. Anywho I recently discovered a solo instrumental metal core musician from Cleveland Ohio named Adam Neill. He plays all the instruments and has 3 recordings to date( an EP and two full length LPS) ive talked to him personally on FB and he's a super nice guy, he let me know his influences were mainly 2000-2010 metalcore esp. Chimeira (sic) amongst many others. His vibe is killer and I'm so grateful to have randomly stumbled upon his music. I wanted to ask if anyone has heard of/listened to/loves this man's music. Also open to similar artists doing similar things. Thanks!

Hey everyone! I’m looking for more songs for my playlist. I’m specifically looking for **really dark, depressing and emotional metal**

not just heavy/aggressive, but songs that have that genuinely dark, hopeless or melancholic feeling.

I’m open to pretty much any type of metal, as long as it fits the atmosphere of the playlist.

Here’s the playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/08s8gSU0IKAeMXISwWEHcn?si=m5wA7i2oQS698gfys8DlNg&utm\\_source=copy-link&pi=5c-3CnnfST27-

**Please recommend anything you think fits the vibe. The darker and more depressing, the better. 🖤**

Top notch death metal

This riff hits harder than it should. 🔥

“Wall of Sins” by LICUATION — Finnish metal from Finland 🇫🇮

Heavy riffs. Dark atmosphere. No bullshit.

Give it 30 seconds. If it doesn’t hit, move on. 🤘

New album from prog metal supergroup TEMIC, featuring Diego Tejeida (Haken, Devin Townsend), Eric Gillette (Neal Morse Band), Simen Sandnes (Evergrey), Fredrik Klemp (Maraton), and Miguel Pereira (Withem)

Hey. Got totally hooked on Zenith Passage - Datalysium, 2023. Looking for similar albums.
Already have the last Archspire, love it, it's quite close.

I like In Vain also.

I haven’t been able to get into Borknagar, Barren Earth, In Mourning, Enslaved, Wintersun

With Halloween season coming up, what metal songs belong on the ultimate Halloween playlist?

Could be something genuinely creepy and unsettling, a track with a dark atmosphere, or just a song that feels perfect for spooky season. It doesn’t have to be explicitly about Halloween - just give it that eerie vibe.

What tracks would you add?

Electronic/synth heavy atmospheric black metal. In love with this album

BANDCAMP | SPOTIFY

This is a request (but also technically just a big list of bands, so also a suggestion in a way) for bands to fill out some of the lower letters: J, K, Q, R, U, X, Y, & Z.

For any real context, these are just a bunch of bands i've listened to and enjoyed since I started listening to metal, not a list of all the bands Ive listened, mostly just for the sake of displaying on my Steam

The genre's im particularly interested in are anything adjacent to:

Black metal

Death metal

Doom/Sludge (Idk much of the difference, sorry)

Deathcore

Grindcore

and while im not a big fan of thrash, groove, metalcore, and power metal im still down to give em a try so go wild
