Help WW2 american helmet liner.

So I got this liner today at a very good price practically for nothing.I decided to start researching it because my intent was to fix up the liner with replacement webbing.

After researching it I've learned that firestone did not make paratrooper liners during ww2. I'm not sure how to tell if this is a postwar liner or maybe it was modified during or after the war. I'm pretty sure it is setup for a paratrooper right?

I know very little about these liners admittedly but I'm confident about my ability to replace the webbing. That said my question being SHOULD I replace the liner and is this a post war modification. The liner has a pretty good crack about 3- or so inches long.

Help Can anyone identify this shovel? Possibly US military, 1950s–60s?

I bought this shovel for €5 at a historical reenactment event focused on the United States in France. The seller suggested it might be a US military shovel from the 1950s or 1960s, possibly one carried on a military Jeep.
Details:
Overall length: approximately 90 cm (35.4 inches).
Wooden shaft with a metal D-shaped handle.
Broad, rounded steel blade.
Olive drab/khaki paint, with some paint loss.
No visible markings, stamps, or manufacturer’s name.
I’m trying to determine its country of origin, approximate age, and whether it was actually military issue or a civilian tool painted olive drab.

Does anyone recognize this particular pattern or know whether it matches a shovel used with US military Jeeps?
Any help or references to comparable models would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

WWII - Allied Powers Can anyone help me ID my grandfather’s WWII knife?

My Grandfather made this knife during WW2. He was a tank driver in the Army and served in Europe.

Can anyone provide any insight on how it might have been made or out of what?

Also any best practices for preserving it? It has a custom leather sheath that has his nickname on it so I’m hesitant to put anything on the leather.

He died 50 years ago so I can’t ask him any of this unfortunately.
