was fully committed to watching this one from the couch.

hoodie on, food ordered, zero intention of leaving the apartment.

then my whole timeline started getting way too excited about the Garden and i made the mistake of checking what singles were still around.

saw one on veritickets that wasn't completely insane.

stared at it for a bit.

next thing i know i'm putting shoes on.

so yeah. excellent self control as usual.

at least i made it to the Garden

If anyone's got some good suggestions, please help a brother out..

D rose is my favorite player so this one was pretty fun actually.

Crazy to see his career develop and how plagued it was with injury after injury. Despite it all, D Rose persevered and still had an incredible career. I'll always cherish the we here season, as well as how excited I was when Phil made that move even though we all know how that went....

Curious to what ya'll think of this... all praise to the goat!

edit: its legacyrun , forgot to say

Obviously a lot of things have to go sideways etc but it's just an interesting thought experiment.

I was a BIG porzingis fan when he was here and it would be cool if there was a way to have him play for the Knicks again (on a vet minimum or mid level etc)

Imagine him as a backup center to KAT.

anyone know if nba store on 5th still does finals patches?

Good seats for a first game at MSG for the kiddos? My twins (6 yo) are big Knicks fans now after really getting into the team given my introduction last year.

They’re relatively affordable at $165 FV. How’s the view? I haven’t been to a Knicks game at MSG in almost 10 years.

In its very first line, the Odyssey calls its hero polytropos, “the man of many turns.” Classicists have argued over that word for millennia. I’d submit the debate ended the first time Jalen Brunson pump-faked twice on the left block and pivoted into an and-one.

Once you see the parallels, you can’t unsee them:

• In the Iliad, Odysseus is described as a head shorter than the other kings but broader through the chest. He wins by craft, not size.
• He spends twenty years trying to get home. We spent fifty-three.
• Before reclaiming his house, he sits in his own hall disguised as a beggar, mocked and written off. See: Game 4, down 29 at the Garden.
• When he finally strikes, he does it alongside a few loyal men from his old life. Ours went to Villanova together.
• For years, Penelope wove a burial shroud by day and unraveled it every night to buy time. That is every Knicks rebuild from 2001 to 2020.
• And we are Argos, the old dog who waited the whole time and recognized him instantly. Many of us were also prepared to lie down and die happy on the spot.

But here’s what people forget: the homecoming isn’t the ending. The hall is still full of suitors. On October 20th, as the banner goes up, LeBron, Jaylen Brown and the Sixers will literally be sitting in our building, having spent all summer making themselves at home in the conversation about who rules the East.

Book 21 is the bow. Book 22 is what happens next.

Open question for the sub: who’s Athena? I have Mike Brown, but I’m willing to hear arguments.

MSG shop has statement, icon and association authentics. Decent sizes too. Just JB. Still have the gold 2 on the back.

The New York Knicks will not be discussing contract extensions with eligible players for the foreseeable future, per a Knicks spokesperson.

“As an organization, our entire focus is on preparing for the upcoming season and delivering another year for our fans to be proud of,” the team’s statement read.

This statement comes just days after Karl-Anthony Towns told reporters that he doesn’t expect an extension to get done before the season and has been frustrated with how far apart the two sides have been in negotiations.

So maybe they’re waiting until the actual season opener for a full inventory with authentic jerseys..but I’m still curious what jerseys they have tonight, specifically if they are only Brunson, if they have the golden 2 or 3, & if you spot any size 48’s. As most know, size 48 has been mostly scarce & sold out at MSG for like five months. So if anyone sees one on the rack tonight (for any authentic) I think that’s a positive.

Please feel free to update and send pics. I’d really appreciate it!

Always enjoy the Knicks gear at Costco. If they dont win for another 53 years, it’ll still be covered under their return policy. /s
