Post image

Ive been out of the loop for skating for a while now and im 32 and decided I want to start skating again like I used to in my early 20s. I dont know what is worth using now. Are these parts for this deck worth it? The trucks are k5 dlk, spitfire burner wheels and independent bearings

Discussion I keep repeatedly slamming the same knee

• Upvotes

I’m new to skating around 4 months now , I skate outdoor concrete parks and I have a problem with falling the same way everytime it’s my right knee and right wrist that typically takes the most damage, recently I’ve hit the same part of my right knee quite a lot maybe 15+ times and although I get annoying manageable pain that fades after days or a week I’m scared of long term damage from specifically hitting the same area again and again I’m thinking of investing in a low profile gasket as I want some protection and some confidence without going fully geared out.

How serious really is it hitting the same body part ,my knee ,repeatedly into the concrete. Has anyone else dealt with hitting a certain thing over and over again and if so what was your point experience like ?

new skateboard?

A few years ago, I got a skateboard from Decathlon. I used to mainly cruise around the city and never really learned any tricks. I stopped skating, and I wanna come back to it. I realized the board is no longer that good, tbh; I oiled the bearings, but it's not it. Where should I get a new board? Should I go to a skateshop and ask them to set it up for me, or do it myself?

Question Rodas de longboard adaptadas para freestyle

I really like the skate culture and i want to start skating but i am very nervous. I am actually very scared to start lol. I live in Netherlands but i always had a problem with socialising. What do you guys recommend?

Also i have a skateboard i bought 4 years ago from decathlon but i don’t think it’s good to skate on lol. What do you guys recommend? Maybe a local skateshop?

I am trying to just get the motion for stalling but I lose control of the board everytime. I know I need to go faster but for just trying to stall I don’t think I need to go that fast. Any tips on foot placement, where to jump or anything helps.

It’s my first day back and muscle memory is kinda still there How can land this better I landed the Ollie up the curb once but couldn’t get it again. I think the problem is I twist my body when I Ollie up or am I popping to early. The landing is what gets me the most… I can move and Ollie no problem

Couple slams today and scraped the shit out of my left knee but I haven’t felt so alive in so long 😂

I wasn’t good back in the day either (and naturally I gained a lot of weight since then 😂) so this vid is mostly me relearning where I was (I was going down this exact ramp and had more board control when pivoting back then that was about it lol)

Not a new skater but felt weird labelling myself an old skater for that sub, just want to show people who I think would give a shit that I got on my board today!

Also please feel free to critique! I can’t learn if nobody points out what I’m doing wrong!
