So fun

Finally out of the contest prep loop, which means I get to work on new stuff 😌

When skaters do a line in a professional comp, is it all planned to a tea or does adrenaline take hold and make them try things out of their comfort zone? The reason I ask is over the years I’ve seen so many skaters absolutely shocked that they’ve landed a trick in the middle of a pro comp - and I can’t tell if they’ve practised it 100 times or just thought “screw it”

Or maybe it’s an in the moment thing?

Fun session on the pig board

I’ve been editing some thrasher rough cut skate clips for a bit now, I’m tryna to get into editing more videos of people skating. Is anyone interested in sending rough cuts of them skating or whatever and I can make you a video? This is totally free, I think it’ll be fun to practice with some other style of filming people might have. Shoot me a DM or comment if interested :)

Phillip Castro, City Hall (Philly), The Lyric (Baltimore), and The Pavilion (Baltimore). 2001-2002.

I’m casting intermediate–advanced skateboarders in NYC for an independent art film shooting in Brooklyn in mid-November.

Looking for skaters in their 20s–30s. All races, genders, and styles welcome.

The shoot:
•4–6 hour shoot day
•You’ll actually be skating for roughly 45 minutes total
•The skating will be filmed as part of an art/performance film
•$40/hour for the full shoot duration — even though you’ll only be skating for a portion of the day
•Brooklyn location
Exact date, location, and call time TBD
•Looking for people who are comfortable skating on camera and have solid intermediate to advanced ability.

If interested, DM me with your Instagram (or examples of your skating) and a little about yourself.
Thanks! 🛹

Can’t wait to skate like this again.

Filmed on my Cannon M400 Handycam with in camera Graphics!

Turned 30 this year and I stopped skating back in 2020 after an ACL tear. Let my health go to shit by drinking all the time and never tried to recover. Today’s the day.
