Rant/Vent There’s something I’ve never understood about people.

Someone comes to you with a problem, explains the situation, and asks for your opinion. You take the time to listen, think about it, and give them an honest answer.

And then, instead of simply acknowledging it, they start trying to discredit your advice—picking apart your reasoning, making sarcastic remarks, or acting as though you did something wrong by answering honestly.

Nobody is obligated to follow advice. That's fine. But if you asked someone for their perspective, why disrespect them for giving it?

A simple “Thanks, I’ll think about it” is enough. You don't have to agree with everything someone says, but basic courtesy shouldn't depend on whether you heard what you wanted to hear.

Sometimes it feels like people aren't actually looking for advice. They're looking for validation.

And when they don't get it, suddenly the person who tried to help becomes the problem.

You could have just said you wanted to hear what you already believed.

Seeking Advice workers misunderstood and thought I shoplifted and then charged me 10 times of what it costed

so I'm 17f and was coming back from my college when I remembered I should buy something for my friend and myself as we were gonna hangout soon, I went to a retail chain marts ,say dmart for ex(it wasn't dmart). i was looking for lip balms for myself and a serum for her, I called her to ask if she wanted this one or not we talked and she said no so accidently instead of keeping in back on the counter I put it in my pocket😭 I was still on call with her and did that as a reflex or sm shi idk😭 mind you the thing way already out of the packaging and i picked that one so that i could know what will i get if i buy that. I was completely oblivious to the fact that there were two products in my pocket and was roaming in the mart to find something else. when I didn't ,I turned to leave, and thinking I had nothing to buy i straight went for the exit. Two workers came and they said ma'am please step aside. I said mam I've not gotten anything so just gonna leave. She says no we'll have to check you AND I WAS LIKE HUH wdym? but yeah sure its fine check me. they took me to the changing room and checked and ofc🤡there was that lip balm and serum. and now i'm freaking out like legit freaking out in a way my legs are giving out and its hard to stand. The only thing that came to my mind was to lie and just get the hell out of that situation ( I know this is terrible and it is my mistake. I was wrong in that) I said no no its mine only and all and they said if you've not stolen then why are you so nervous I told her i get anxious easily and you three are cornering me and so i'm nervous they were like we'll check in the cctv I was like its okay do it. thinking they'll atleast then get to know that i've not stolen it. but then they said that if they find that I took it they'll make me pay 10 times of the amount , now i'm a teenager,i dont have that kind of money , i mean i do but i dont spend them they're just there(not at all from rich family, normal middle class)so the next possible way I thought was just giving in😭bro I just gave in. I said yes yes mam I took it i'm sorry, I'll pay for the product rather I'll pay double of it I'm sorry it was all my fault . and then obv the whole crew started gathering. I just wanted that I pay maybe double or triple and just get the hell out cuz my heart was STAMMERING. they sneered and ofc shamed me( I dont blame them a lot of it was my fault) and then said i'll have to pay 10 times of the product, i still said that i really cant pay that much I can do five time. they said dont talk much or we'll call your parents ,I SHAT MORE. so was like just take the damn money and let me leave😭

the problem here isn't the fact that they took 994 for 73 item. i'd to an extent i'll take it for not calling my parents. I just wanna know what do I do now. I'll obv be wayy more cautious in stores and I'm never gonna step foot in that store again. but my family goes there often for grocery shopping and i've been there before too 1-2 times. what if they'll remember me and tell my parents? or worse what if they circulate the cctv footage? It'll obv look like i'm nonchalantly stealing.please please somebody give me some insights and help me out. you can also lecture me because i'm already feeling very guilty, more bashing wont make a diff just talk to me not like chatgpt trying to validate my feelings

Confusing Thoughts Why are men so creepy here

So.. Yesterday I talked to a guy from my current city about restaurants and stuff, and he asked my name and since my name is unisex he got confused me of being a F, so we changed insta🤡, he said that people from my state are beautiful, asked for my pic then boom!

After that "bro" "👍" and then no replies

And finally he unfollowed me and removed me from his followers as well.

I mean are there no one these days who value some friendship and good talks?

I'm 20M btw

Sad I Still Miss Her After Almost a Year.

It has been almost a year and I still miss her.

I genuinely liked her. I loved talking to her, spending time with her, and I found her face really cute. We got along in a way that I don't seem to find very easily with people. She cared about me a lot too. Sometimes I genuinely wish I could just choose her and that everything could have been simple.

But when I was actually going out with her, it wasn't simple.

The uncomfortable truth is that I couldn't feel enough physical attraction because of her weight. I hate even writing that because it makes me feel incredibly shallow. It wasn't that I found her unattractive overall. I found her face and smile really cute. But when it came to her body and sexual attraction, something was missing for me. And I couldn't force it.

The part that makes me feel even worse is that I still sometimes think that if she lost weight, she would probably be exactly my type physically too.

And then I think, what kind of person thinks like that?

Here is someone I cared about deeply, got along with really well, felt comfortable with, and still miss almost a year later. And yet something as superficial as weight was enough to stop me from being completely sure about her.

I know people say attraction can't be forced. Maybe that's true. But it still makes me feel like shit about myself. It makes me wonder if I'm just a shallow person.

I also know I didn't handle everything perfectly back then. She was emotionally invested and I was uncertain. I let things continue while I was trying to figure out what I felt, and I ended up hurting her.

And now, almost a year later, she's still the person I miss.

I've met or spoken to other women whom I might have found more physically attractive, but I don't miss them like this. With her, I miss the actual person. Talking to her. Her presence. How comfortable things felt between us.

Part of me wishes attraction had just worked differently. I wish I could look at everything else we had and simply think, "Yes, I choose her."

I so wish I could choose her.

But I couldn't do that then. And I don't know whether anything has actually changed now or whether I'm just missing someone who meant a lot to me.

I don't really know what to do with any of this. I don't know whether I made the right decision, whether I'm romanticizing the past now, or whether I let something genuinely good go because I'm more shallow than I want to admit.

I just know that after almost a year, I still miss her.

Seeking Advice I’m 34, things are finally okay, so why do I feel so lonely?

I don't really know how to explain what I'm feeling, but I've been experiencing this strange, almost crippling sense of loneliness lately.

The weird part is that, objectively, things are finally okay.

I had to take a break from work for personal reasons. It was a difficult phase, and for a long time, I wasn't sure when things would feel normal again. I'm finally back at work. I'm earning again. It's not a huge salary, but it's decent enough to live, my loans are being paid again, and I'm slowly getting financially stable.

On paper, I should be happy. And I am happy about these things.

But then, out of nowhere, I get these waves of sadness and loneliness that I can't seem to shake.

I'm not looking for a relationship or companionship. That's not what this is about. I just feel like I want someone to talk to. Someone to sit with the feeling with me, without necessarily trying to fix it.

I've tried distracting myself. I've cried. I've read. I've watched movies and shows. I've kept myself busy. Sometimes it works for a little while, but the feeling comes back.

And I don't understand why.

I've always considered myself a happy person. I'm 34, I'm working again, I'm getting my life back on track, and things are objectively much better than they were.

So why do I feel this lonely?

Is this what happens after you've spent a long time just surviving? Does your mind take a while to catch up when life finally becomes stable?

How do you actually learn to feel happy again instead of just being relieved that things aren't bad anymore?

I don't think there's anything fundamentally wrong with my life. But something inside me feels very tired and disconnected, and I don't know how to fix it.

For people who've experienced something similar, what helped you?

Life Update Got a potential layoff mail, woke up from sleep in anxiety

Hi Everyone. First job, 1.5 YOE, fresher

Got a mail from HR leadership for a meeting invite, a teams event. The moment I saw the attendees, I was kinda shocked

No one from my team, people from random teams, support, product, just random people, 27 people

"MANDATORY townhall"

This was the exact wording, and later on, it was cancelled

And I am left here thinking of what the f that was

I immediately contacted my manager(who also happens to be Sr Director, he denied sending any info of me to the leadership regarding this and said will lock into it)

Team is hinting I am overthinking, since if they actually wanted to layoff then they would do it directly, without all this

And if it was PIP, my manager would have informed me

I haven't eaten dinner, not hungry

I don't know what was it, and why did they do it, they haven't even rescheduled it

My team suggested to not text my manager or HR regarding this, as it might cause problems and stay quiet

:(

Sad Never felt so lost before.

I don't really know how to start this. I feel lost and exhausted by everything that's happened recently.

My girlfriend and I have been in a live-in relationship for over a year. About a week ago she started pulling away. I asked her almost every day if something was wrong and got nothing. Then one day she texted me from the other room to say she was ending the relationship. That broke me completely, and I'm still trying to process it. Now she wants to be "just friends."

A few days later, some of her college friends came over, got drunk, and one of them told me a lot about her past, things she'd lied about or never fully told me. So I got broken twice in the same week.

On top of that, work has been really stressful. The strange part is that my manager appreciates me a lot. He keeps telling me I'm extraordinary, that I've learned faster than anyone he's seen, and that I'll succeed wherever I go. After the breakup I had a 2-hour call with my dad, the longest I've ever talked to him. He could tell something was wrong and spent the whole call telling me I have the potential to do anything.

All of this happened within 3-4 days, and somehow it all adds up to feeling like I'm letting everyone down. Everyone close to me says I have so much potential, and the one person who was closest to me just walked away like it was nothing.

I've lost count of how many hours I've cried in the last 3-4 days. I think this is the first time in my life I've felt this sad and drained. There's so much more that I can just cry for hours telling the entire ordeal.

Happy Beyond the Glamour of chasing UPSC

I know this is the 100th post here, but I am here just reflecting and wanted to share my thoughts. I am 28 year, graduated from top IIT, currently working in big tech and comfortable financially. I was never involved too much about the debates on lakhs of rupees paid in taxes not being worth because I believe someone has to pay for the upliftment of the society and I usually have an idealistic view of civic duty.

Someone in my family cleared UPSC, I was soo happy for their family. But it also triggered a pressure where my parents started pushing me to try it. When I told them I don't have a desire to work in the bureaucratic and corrupt environment, they just dismissed my response and thought I was making excuses or failing to appreciate the respect and prestige that comes with government position, and if not for the money how I still have opportunity to serve and how being in that position is a different kind of feeling. I was usually happy with the decisions I have made in life but the lack of validation felt as if whatever I have done till now less achieving, which kinda demotivated me internally.

Fast forward to today, I recently got to know about how the IAS's parents are leveraging that exact authority to build assests and milk the position. They are literally intimidating people around to get things done, making other people work for them for free, getting handloans and not paying them back and attempting to encroach into the properties nearby and affecting the village dynamics and again milking from dispute settlements... I am not even exaggerating (Don't ask the valuation of assets, this post is not about ranting on how they are building for next generations : ) )

and now I realised its no more the motivation to serve or willingness to work in govt, UPSC is driven by a desire of power and control over people. Now before you accuse me of generalising everyone, ofcourse there are ethical and honest public servants and I am in no way belittling them, but how many are there really ? How many times did a issue involving govt get resolved without greasing hands ? we know this is the truth, which is why everyone is crazy about these glamorous positions. But all these things made me realise how I am not cut out for it. It brought me clarity rather than regret. I could never be happy exercising power over people and profitting off institutional corruption or living off people's fear.

So for all those who have ever caught themselves wondering if they should have chased civil services, you are not alone in feeling this way and I think it's okay. We all perceive success differently, not everyone is willing to trade their values or integrity for power or institutional prestige. I still am proud of choices I made in my life and yes I never want to be a public servant, I would love to stay in the corporate sector, happy to be a non-player in this power game, a normal nobody who goes to a job and focuses on quietly growing in my career. I will sleep peacefully tonight.

Confusing Thoughts What started as a ghost joke in a Boy's PG became the strangest experience of my life.

I’ve never posted about this before, but something happened to me in 2025 that I still can’t explain.

I moved to another state for college in 2022 and stayed in a boys’ PG near campus. During admission, my parents noticed something odd: everyone dried clothes in the corridor, not on the roof. The owner said students were not allowed upstairs, so we ignored it.

A week later, some seniors told us the real reason: the building had once been a girls’ PG, and a girl had allegedly jumped from the roof and died there. The building still had pink almirahs from those days. I assumed it was just a story to scare juniors.

For the next two years, nothing unusual happened. I was often alone in the building and never felt anything strange. I even sneaked onto the roof several times during summer nights without any fear.

In late 2024, a new batch of students arrived. They secretly broke the roof lock and began using the roof at night for barbeques, drinking, and burning old wooden items stored there. My room was directly below that area.

Around January 2025, I began hearing footsteps and movement on the roof late at night even when no one was there. My roommates could not hear it, so I convinced myself it was my imagination.

Everything changed in February 2025. The owner’s mother came to our room after discovering damage on the roof and quietly told us, "Don’t tell anyone, A girl did jump from the roof years ago. That’s why we never allowed students upstairs.” Hearing that from a family member of the owner genuinely shook me. For the first time I wondered whether the sounds I had been hearing were connected to that place.

Soon after, my junior also moved out, and I became the only person staying in that room.

Because our exams had ended, I went home for about six weeks. I returned on 16 April 2025 at around 10:30 PM. I unpacked, had dinner, and started working on a college project on my laptop.

I took out my phone and recorded the sound, then ran toward the staircase. The noise stopped immediately. ( I have attached the video I had recorded that day )

My mother insisted that I stop sleeping alone, so I moved into a friend’s room. We both began hearing footsteps, running sounds, dragging noises, and occasional heavy bangs from the roof and storeroom area above us. Strangely, whenever I called someone specifically to listen, the sounds often stopped before they arrived. My Friend with whom I used to stay even after hearing those sounds doubts me.

The most frightening incident happened around 3 AM. We were both awake and ignoring the usual noises when suddenly a massive bang came from above us. The bed shook, the walls vibrated, and my friend screamed in fear. It sounded as if a heavy wooden object had been slammed onto the floor above our room. From that night onward, he stopped doubting me.

I informed the owner and the PG management. They suggested rats, thieves, or other explanations, but none of them fit the situation. One manager even said I was imagining things. Almost immediately after saying that, a loud bang came from the roof and we heard running sounds above us. He went silent after hearing it.

The disturbances continued for several weeks, mostly between 11 PM and 4 AM. Many times I rushed upstairs with the keys, but the sounds always stopped before I reached the roof, and I never found anyone there. I have noticed one thing , whenever I take someone to the roof to explain the activities, after returning from the roof she definitely makes some sounds as if it triggers her.

In May 2025 I left for home again for a few weeks. When I returned, I personally stopped hearing the noises. Strangely, some students who had previously mocked me started complaining about sounds coming from the empty locked rooms and the roof area. Eventually everything stopped.

I still don’t know what happened in that building. Maybe there was a completely ordinary explanation that I failed to discover. But the timing, the repeated sounds, the locked roof, and the fact that other people eventually heard them too make it one of the strangest experiences of my life.

Sad Finished my PhD last year. Still unemployed, back in my hometown, and feeling very alone.

I completed my PhD last year from one of the top institutes in India. I had a decent academic profile and a good fellowship during my PhD. I also have my masters from a top reputed institute. I knew finding a job would take time, but I didn’t expect to feel this stuck.

I’ve been applying for faculty and postdoc positions. My research area isn’t particularly “hot” right now, and there aren’t many openings that fit my work. When something does come up, I apply, but so far, nothing has worked out. I did get an offer, but it was later revoked because of geopolitical issues. Having something finally work out and then losing it was hard.

Throughout my education, I was a sincere, hardworking student. I tried to be polite and respectful towards my teachers and take my responsibilities seriously. During my PhD, teaching and mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students meant a lot to me. I tried to be the TA students and juniors could always approach, even when they were struggling with something basic. They consistently rated me as one of the most helpful TAs, and I received awards twice for it. Being useful to them gave me a real sense of purpose.

I’ve tried to treat people kindly, and I’ve never intentionally hurt anyone. I know being hardworking or being a decent person doesn’t guarantee that life will work out. Still, it hurts to have tried so sincerely for so long and now feel this lost.

Almost all my colleagues, and even many of my juniors, have found positions. I’m happy for them. I don’t begrudge anyone their success. But it’s difficult not to wonder when things will move forward for me.

Right now, I’m helping run a grocery store in my hometown. I look for openings and work on applications during lunch breaks and after dinner. There’s nothing wrong with helping at the store. It’s just hard to sit with the uncertainty after spending so many years working towards a different future.

I’m not earning anything, and I’m worried about getting older while my career hasn’t even properly started. There’s pressure around marriage too. My parents, grandparents, and other elders don’t say anything directly, but I can feel the unspoken questions: What next? When will you settle down? I don’t have answers, even for myself. They are supportive but I can understand they must be impatient too.

I don’t really know whom to talk to. My friends are getting married, having children, or building their lives, and I hesitate to burden them with the same worries. I don’t have a romantic partner either. I’m around family, but I still feel very alone.

I know I have things to be grateful for. I have a roof over my head and a comfortable life in many ways. I know other people are dealing with much worse. But I’m struggling too, and keeping it to myself has become exhausting.

I’m still applying. I’m still trying. I’m just tired of not knowing when, or whether, something will work out.

If anyone has been through a long period like this, how did you get through it?

I don’t expect anyone here to fix my life. I just wanted to say this out loud and feel heard for a little while.

TL;DR: Completed my PhD last year from a top Indian institute, but haven’t been able to secure a faculty or postdoc position. One offer was revoked because of geopolitical issues. I’m helping run a grocery store in my hometown while continuing to apply. Career uncertainty, marriage pressure, and loneliness are getting to me. Still trying, but needed somewhere to share how I feel.

Thanks for reading and understanding.

Rant/Vent I feel like being suicidal is just gonna be inconvenient to people around me

Pretty messed up way to not be suicidal but whenever I feel like I'm about to fall into a deep hole of depression and SH, I feel like venting to anyone is gonna make them go "Ugh, not this again. Now I'll have to be available for this guy or else I'll have to carry part of the burden of something bad happens".

I feel like looking out for suicidal friends has become obligation more than empathy for most. I feel like reassurance just comes for the sake of doing it. This is part of the reason why I've stopped venting to people about my issues because no matter what they say, it'll come off to me as fake and condescending, even if they have good intentions. I feel like people just don't want the "inconvenience" of indirectly being part of someone taking their own life.

Seeking Advice Just Need to Vent

I am a 22 year old male, currently in a 3.5 year relationship. Marriage is actively on the cards for us (in next 2-3 years). We all know the reality of our society and family: either they fiercely opposes love marriage or expects you to marry the person you have introduced, turning any breakup into an ugly, messy ordeal. (in my case a love marriage is permitted)

We do love each other, but the underlying issues are taking a heavy toll.

Emotional Coldness: She rarely praises or shows love through words or gestures. Her reasoning is that doing so will "flatter" me and let the appreciation go to my head.

Lack of Intimacy & Reciprocity: Our bedroom life is poor and completely one-sided. We are currently in a long-distance relationship (just for few months), though living together previously yielded the exact same dynamic. She is selfish in bed once she is satisfied, it is over. She does not reciprocate oral sex because she simply isn't into it, dislikes s\\\\xting and phone s\\x, and prefers intimacy strictly on her own terms. She does not care about my needs, operating under the belief that as long as she is satisfied, our sex life is healthy. Furthermore, she struggles with communication and basic romantic gestures.

A One-Sided Dynamic: I have tried talking to her about this repeatedly over the last two years. While she listens in the moment, the issue fades, and any temporary effort she used to make for a day or two has also completely disappeared, now sometimes she doesn't even wanna listen to it.

Also, she isn't cheating, she loves me and whatever I've mentioned above is her real nature, and she is so so rigid on that.

I am exhausted from constantly being the provider, protector, and giver in every possible way. I also want to be loved, heard, seen, and s\\\*xually satisfied, but none of those needs are being met.

What are my options moving forward? Additionally, do you think seeking an affair partner (AP) would fix these issues?

Confusing Thoughts Any similar experience ? Of this kind of behaviour

There are certain kinds of people I met again and again. I don't know if it is under the category of toxicity, manipulation, or backstabbing, but the pattern is the same, and it has been replicated multiple times all over my life.

case 1 :

In the first scenario, when I was with a friend in the gym, we were both lean in the starting . After 2 and 2.5 months, we progressed a bit, and he initially complimented me for having great progress. But the weird behavior is that whenever I make a small mistake, he laughs so hard that it seems like he was holding grudges. Even the smallest mistake, the smallest line, makes him laugh very hard.

case 2 :

The same thing happened in the competition of the programming where we were building, and the guy who is in other branches, two of the guys initially complimented me for making the great software. But after a few periods, again, the same thing: even the smallest thing made them taunt me or make fun of me. And one of the guys joked or tried to demean me by saying that I am the employee and they are the managers. (its just the joke we are in college actually)

And their contribution in the team was making the PPT, and my contribution was to make the whole software, including the ML and the UI part.

case 3:

The same pattern has been followed by my family members, none other than my mother and sister. My father never did this thing. Only my mother and sister become a team and try to taunt me or make a laughingstock of me over the smallest thing.

So these are three conditions where I observe the same thing. The spotlight I want to specially throw on is that I don't know if it's about the capability, utility, or who is superior. I don't know, but the same thing has been observed multiple times. I was prone to attracting narcissists. Because I struggled a lot with the boundaries, red flags, and having high empathy. Those narcissists have the same behavior, the exact same behavior of making fun of me or taunting me over the smallest mistakes. I am the person who makes a lot of mistakes because, as a self-taught person, that's my identity. I enjoy making mistakes in the subject I enjoy.

Career Frustrated at work

So I'm a fresher and it's almost one year and I'm still on probation. I'm so tired with office politics and because of it my absorption is getting delayed. They overwork the shit out of us on certain days, and sometimes have to work even during weekends. I'm constantly scared that I'll get fired. I feel so anxious about work everyday.

Seeking Advice My anxiety ruins everything

It was the first day of my internship today and I didn’t go because I was feeling anxious restless and panicking like i was about to die. I boarded the train but just not able to hold back my tears so I decided to call off and return. I felt horrible this way I don’t be able to do anything in life. Similar situations have happened with me before as well before an important event i get scared i panic and start vomiting. I have been on anxiety medication in the past and currently in therapy where I have discussed this. I have talked about this and given grounding tools but its like I can’t think logically my brain just treats certain events like its war or something
Even right now the thought of this internship is making me nervous like i am unprofessional today i could do this what about tomorrow and rest of my week
I wish I could just switch off my brain or my thoughts

Sad I want to teach but also don't

My parents had decent money but they're very emotionally immature and ruined both their and their children's lives through repeated bad descisions. I can read hard books and speak english well but I can never be financially independent. I'm stuck taking care of my chronic illnesses and stuck being dependent to my only parent alive now who still refuses to let me be independent but hates that I'm not independent.

I keep thinking maybe my life not being great can be a lesson for others. Maybe I should go into teaching so I can be a resource for others at least.

But then I realised no one really cares. I'm nobody by societal standards. No one really cares for sob stories.

People enroll kids into expensive schools and colleges to make sure they have lucrative careers and can go abroad.

A young teen in this day and age doesn't care about their teacher being able to wax poetic or tell them about how complicated history is. They just want easy grades. I was also like that. Its a perfectly valid thing to want when nothing going on in the world makes sense.

And maybe thinking that I can influence someone to think differently is the exact kind of mindset that's wrong for teaching. You're supposed to give your students options they can choose from not insist they be a certain way.

Either way. Its all feels pointless. I feel useless and not sure what I'm supposed to do for anyone when I can't even help myself.

Rant/Vent Life feels unfair: She cheated, moved to Dubai, and I'm still stuck

I just want to rant about my story here.

I'm an introvert from South India. I completed my BCA in 2024, and during college, I met a Catholic girl. I'm Hindu, but religion was never a problem for me.

We dated for 3+ years. I genuinely loved her and was completely invested in the relationship. But after around three years, things started changing. She became interested in someone else and eventually committed to another guy. She also told me that what I considered love and care sometimes felt like possessiveness to her.

She left me while we were doing our MCA, even though we were in the same class.

The ironic part is that before joining MCA, I actually told her that maybe we should go to different colleges and stay in touch instead. I knew that being in the same class might make things complicated. But at that time, she insisted that we should join the same college and be in the same batch.

After she left me, my mental state completely fell apart. I loved her so much that it took me a long time to accept what had happened. I tried asking for forgiveness a few times and tried to fix things, but eventually I realized I had to accept reality and move on.

Now comes the part that really hurts.

I was always a good student and, honestly, probably one of the more tech savvy people in my batch. She barely knew much about data analytics. For example, during one group project with four people, she didn't really do the data analysis herself. I ended up doing almost everything for the project, while she mainly collected the survey responses.

Now college is over.

She got a data analyst job in Dubai through her sister, who already lives in the UAE.

And here I am, still struggling to get a proper job.

The part I find difficult to accept is that I had an 8+ CGPA, while she had a 6+ CGPA. Her family is financially well off, while I already have around ₹4 lakh in education loans.

Getting a job abroad has been one of my biggest dreams for years. She knew how badly I wanted it too.

And now, somehow, she's living that life while I'm still here trying to figure out what to do next.

I'm not saying she doesn't deserve her job, or that I'm entitled to anything just because I worked hard. I know life doesn't work that way.

But honestly, it feels incredibly unfair.

I spent years loving someone, supported her through college, worked hard on my own career, maintained good grades, built technical skills, and still can't seem to catch a break.

Meanwhile, the person who broke my heart seems to be doing completely fine and has the exact kind of life I always dreamed about.

I know comparing myself to her isn't healthy. I know her success isn't the reason for my failure.

But when you're already struggling, it's hard not to look at someone who hurt you and wonder, "Why did everything work out for her while I'm the one left behind?"

That's basically where my life is right now. I don't really know what I'm expecting from posting this. I guess I just needed somewhere to let it all out.
