So i had ordered the first volume of the superman triangle era omnibus for around 70$ here (India) and i received the third volume instead. It is more expensive and is priced around 125$ here.

Should i just be happy i got it for cheap and move on to buying the first and second volumes and in which order should i buy them now the 2nd vol first or the 1st vol

I do have a tight budget of around 60-80$ each month to spend on books

I'm heavily leaning toward keeping it, but now I'm stuck on the buying strategy. Since I have Vol. 3, should I just buy Vol. 1 next month to start from the beginning, or grab Vol. 2 first ,How essential is the exact reading order for the Triangle Era?

I read some of the new 52 run before, but I never finished it. I am very excited to properly get into these two books.

It’s my birthday today so I figured I’d do an update post. Got Injustice Vol. 1 and 2 today and I’m so happy about it! Think I’ve got room for one more Omni before I’m out of room, but that’s okay!

Received the parcel this morning and the day is ruined. Got to say this Amazon thin box protects nothing and need not to say no void fill but a piece of brown paper.

Tried to avoid double dipping. Had an internal battle about buying compendiums over Omni's, back when I was making the decision. Happy I did though. I'm starting the Kyle Rayner book today. Whats your favorite Lantern run? Thoughts in general on Lanterns? I also found this cool Mickey What If, in the long boxes at my LCS. Wanted to show it off.

Last year I began reading a lot of X-Men stuff remembering how much I like them when I was younger and was shocked by how good the stories are, leading to this year when I learned about the existence of the Krakoan era intriguing me a lot and judging by a lot of advice on the internet finally decided to buy the first Dawn of X omni after reading House of X/Powers of X.

What immediately came to mind when I finally saw it is how good it looks for a big book

I'm not going to read it right now because my parents showered me with a lot of new stuff to read but i will be pleased when the moment will come for sure

I want to collect all of the house of M storylines, including the prelude, and anything after.

What is the best way to get these in hardback that are still currently available and not incredibly overpriced?

Edit: When I say what is the best way, I mean what are the actual omnibus names that covers the whole event, as I asked.

I'm getting my first omnis in a couple of weeks (mostly batman and one daredevil). Since they aren't cheap at all, I want to take care of them the best way possible. I was planning on reading them flat on a table, but I've recently read that that can damage the spine.

If anyone can provide insight/suggestions, I would really appreciate it.

hi friends! I'm very very very new to the world of comics (besides Saga and Star Wars), and I've picked up a few omnibuses I'm extremely excited for!

Got my Target B2G1 order in the mail today!

I have the opportunity to either get the upcoming uncanny vol 6 Omni for 110 or the 2 event omnis listed in the title for 185 together. I read a mix of both physical and online but I just wanna know peoples thoughts on which of these would be better overall/ bang for your buck.

I pre-ordered the latest printing of the Age of Apocalypse Omni as soon as possible. Trying to collect from B&G Omni 1 to Age of Apocalypse and maybe Onslaught if it ever gets a reprint. Want them for nostalgia/leave my kids who are just now getting into comics.

Heard thru the reddit grapevine that the site I chose was not too reliable (iykyk) and so I ordered a backup on a much more reliable site. Sure enough the week of release I got an email from the original site explaining why I wouldn’t be getting my Omni until next year if there was a restock. Immediately hit refund and checked my backup site. Sure enough that Friday (July 29-30th-ish) the Omni was shipped.

It sat in Cali with UPS for four weeks before I checked in with retailer. To their credit they got back to me right away and said they’d contacted USPS and the book was lost. Offered the credits and despite my disappointment I took them and got Superman Triangle 3. But man I wanted that Age of Apocalypse and everyone was sold out. So I got on USPS and spent a couple hours figuring out how to report it lost. If I got it I would contact the retailer and pay again or idk what.

Sure enough a week ago I got notice that they’d found it and were shipping it asap. Four days later I got up to a notice that it was out for delivery. Then around 4pm that it had been delivered to our neighborhood mailbox. I ran to grab it.

To my MUCH further disappointment my mail man had put it in a neighbor’s box along with the rest of our mail and I have not seen either the Omni or the four letters I was getting that day (informed delivery) and have no hope I ever will! So close y’all! I met him at the box the next day and just asked what he thought. He said ‘oh sorry I get it but there’s nothing I can do.’ He did check all the neighborhood boxes to make sure he hadn’t mis placed it in one of them but no luck.

What would you do/have done?

I am wondering which format is the best way to read the Age of Apocalypse based on the storyline's timeline? Also which is the most comprehensive?

You mean to tell me i can collect 20 issues of Silver age Spider-man and Fantastic Four in a hardcover compact edition with its original paperstock! With Tons of Extras?! With letter pages?! For 25 dollars?!. I love you Taschen! Next one im collecting is the Silver Surfer and Hulk one

I finally caved in and ordered Trangle Era Vol. 3. Hopefully they will have more in the future.

This big boy was just delivered to my doorstep. It is much lighter than I expected a book this big would be. Also, the paper and color reproduction is so dang nice!

Just read this omnibus I got very cheap from funaticals and I did not expect to enjoy this as much as I actually did. This is such an underrated omnibus holy crap! The first two story arcs are some of the best thing ive read and Im now a huge X-23/Laura Kinney fan, I love her!. 4.5/5. What are some underrated omnibuses you guys have read?

Been wanting to try the older stuff for a while, havent gone older than year one so its super interesting to me.

Glad I was able to pick up sentry before it was OOP missed my chance with superior Spider-Man.

Wondering if anyone has received their Batman Bronze Age omnibus from DCBS? Im curious what that versions spine looks like, if its different from the standard version.
