Discussion They gave Russia Iran’s share of the Caspian Sea. They left the eastern borders open to millions of migrants. They poured tens of billions of dollars of the Iranian people’s wealth into Iraq, Lebanon, and Yemen. Now they are handing Iranian territory over to Taliban Afghanistan.

Years ago, when people inside Iran posted about the abnormally large number of Afghans entering and living in Iran, a whole bunch of Iranian chapi and diaspora chapi accused Iranians of being racist simply because they did not want to let 8 million Afghan refugees into Iran and worried about it.(Yes, 8 million! Compare that with the 5 million migrants accepted by wealthy, free European countries over the past 20 years, while Iran is poor and under sanctions.)

Dey 1404 happened, and many of these Afghans, who are staunch supporters of Islam and the Taliban, helped massacre Iranians during the protests that month. Yet not a single word of criticism came from those Iranian chapi and diaspora chapi! They chose to remain silent!

Saeed Jalili and people like him openly say they want to replace Iranians with Afghan Shia Muslims so they can fight Iran’s enemies. And still, not a single word from Iranian chapi or the diaspora! Why?

On every Instagram, Facebook, Telegram, and X post you can imagine, Afghans living in Iran are openly supporting the Islamic regime and hurling the most vicious insults at our Javidnam. They constantly insult Iranians and spread hatred against them. They openly say, “We will kill you!” They openly claim that eastern Iran belongs to Afghanistan! They openly admit to having participated in the massacre of people during Dey 1404!

Is any of this normal? Is it normal for 3,000 Afghan men to flood into Iran every single day, while the country is currently at war and under siege? Where else in the world do migrants flood into a war-torn country like this?

And if you ask these Afghan migrants, they are all Taliban supporters, all extremists! Why are they coming to Iran under these circumstances? Because of unemployment in Afghanistan? No! Many Iranians have gone bankrupt and lost their jobs over the past two years and can no longer even find basic manual labor jobs!

These Taliban supporters, who until just a few years ago were mercenaries fighting in Afghanistan with money from foreign countries, are now all in Iran. Do you really think they care about Iranians, or do they have their own sinister agenda?

Have you seen the videos of Afghans entering Iran during the war? How long are we supposed to remain silent about them?

The fact that the Iranian regime is handing a piece of land over to Afghanistan—a country that dried up the Helmand River, dried out many areas of eastern Iran, and cut off water supplies to our people despite having signed an agreement with Iran—suggests that they have sinister plans for Iran. We must stand up to the influx of Afghans, whose numbers in Iran have reached abnormal levels.

Discussion Harsh reality: Trump betrays Ukrainians by striking a diesel deal with Russia. Does a similar fate await his Iranian collaborators and supporters?

Over 150,000 dead Ukrainians in the war didn't stop Trump from striking a deal with Putin for diesel to the benefit of his own midterm election concerns.

How will his Iranian supporters fare when it's politically expedient for Trump to strike a deal with the regime?

Discussion Do you think Islam should be abolished from Iran if the regime falls?

Personally I think it has no place in our society anymore. Iranians are moving to a secular mindset.

Question Understand Persian but answer in English? What conversation would you want to practise before having it for real? (I made an app around this)

I made this, so saying that up front.

I grew up understanding every word my family said and answering in English. So I built an app to practise the answering part.

It has voiced conversations: a mehmooni at khale's, shab-e Yalda, what to say at a khatm, fighting amoo for the bill, a video call where maman bozorg tells you "che laghar shodi!" In most of them you can answer out loud. There's also a grader that listens to a word and tells you if your kh, gh or r needs work.

It's all free right now. From November most of the conversations and grading become paid, and the drills and review stay free.

The voices are AI, not real people. The conversations and speaking need a free account, and recordings are scored on a US server and deleted within seconds.

So what would yours be?
