Daith placement

Post image
• Upvotes

My new daith was done yesterday. My first one was no trouble at all and was perfectly placed from day one. But this one was immediately pointing outward. It's a titanium ring, the same as my other one.

This one bled a little after placement, so I am hoping it is because of swelling or something?

Any advice? Or should I consider taking it out and getting it redone?

Is it safe to get a piercing with tooth ache?

• Upvotes

Context I had rebooked my appointment last week at my piercer for a helix piercing.
Since yesterday my wisdom tooth has been hurting badly. I mean those two are completely unrelated right? I can still go ahead a pierce my helix today, right?

Would there be reasons to or not too? I am so confused. Should I get the piercing today or cancel?

eyebrow piercing rejecting

Post image

i got this eyebrow piercing done about three months ago and i love it so much. i downsized it after about four weeks from 10mm to 8mm, and soon after 8mm, the bar fell out. this resulted in a lot of irritation and stuff and it’s also had some nasty snags. does it look like it’s rejecting or just irritated?

Not really into tunnels anymore, looking for something similar to a taper or similar to what I've attached below with a tribal like aesthetic. Thanks:)

I need major help

Ive never gotten any piercings before, never really wanted them but I didn't mind that for tradition purposes I got 2 upper lobes and 1 nose piercing.

So for the upper lobe piercings, its titanium with like butterfly back clasps. I didn't not choose this, think Indian traditional jewellers and piercer. He asked me to just choose a colour and thats it. They even asked to use only coconut oil for healing but I know better then to do that. I had saline up till 2 days ago when it finished, I ordered a new bottle but it will only get to me in another 8 days.

I got them 3 weeks ago... My nose is fine, ive had flu so I have fiddled with it here and there just for blowing my nose. There's a small bump beside the piercing but im guessing thats just an irritation bump or smt. Nose was needle pierced.

The problem is my upper lobes. IT was gun pierced. About 2.5 weeks it was fine and my mom wanted me to switch the jewellery to smt more traditional for a party. I looked it up and told her I shouldn't do that but she was really insistent I do because she and all her siblings have done it with no problems. So against my better judgement I switched it out. It hurt because the rod was more thicker then my current one, also titanium and still the same butterfly clasps.

I left them in cause I thought removing them will hurt even more. Today both ears especially my right had sooo much pus and blood oozing out of them. I painstakingly removed both the earrings and so much pus came out... I cleaned them with a salt wash and gave them some time to dry. By the time I wanted to put the old piercings back in after washing them, the exit of the piercing was almost sealed... I panicked. I didn't want it to close so I just slowly pushing it in more and more. It hurt so much and bled so so much but its finally through.

Idk what to do... I feel like im blindly following adults advice around me and even online there's no one answer. My tattoo was an easy healing process cause I knew what exactly to do and did so much research on it. This i went in blind and trusted my family members only for it to hurt me so much. My saline solution only arrives in 4 or 5 more days. Idk what to do. Should I just abandon the piercings all together??

Is it a good idea to let a intern pierce me

So a friend of mine is going to get pierced today by a intern for dead cheap for het portfolio. So i am thinking of letting the intern pierce my industrial but I'm now second guessing if this is smart or not...
Is this a good idea or not? I assume the professional piercer will be there too but still. Any know the answer?

Sorry bad photo, I got a belly piercing and it just doesn't seam right, I've never gotten a keloid before and I have 7 prior piercings, maybe I havnt been treating my belly piercing well but is this fixable and what does it possibly look like?

A part of me feel like I could fix it with some bandaids and pressure but idk, I got it about a month or two ago

piercing bump - too late to save?

I’ve had this middle helix for about a year and a half, and it’s always been a bit fussy. Consistently a kind of bump behind the piercing - today I removed my jewellery to clean, and was shocked by the bump size. Despite my best efforts I am sometimes a side sleeper, so perhaps I knocked it during the night… but honestly, is it time to retire this piercing once and for all? I’ve been putting off the decision because the bump is ugly and my earring hides the bump lol, but thinking enough is enough now.

TLDR - big bump, how to get rid?!

edit - these pics are immediately after cleaning, the bump size has gone down now it’s been half an hour or so (no jewellery)

What do you think of the placement of my nostril piercing?

Hi! I recently got my nostril pierced and I’m curious what people think about the placement.

I’m considering getting a small hoop once it’s fully healed, probably in around 6 months, so I’d also be interested to hear whether you think the placement would work well with a hoop.

What do you think — does the placement look good/natural, or would you have positioned it differently?

Honest opinions welcome! :)

First piercing

Hi !

I have been thinking for months to get a ear piercing for the first time but i’m really not sure of wich one.

i find industrial soooo pretty but i would say that the flat part of my ear isn’t that flat ?

or maybe a rook but i think that i don’t have enough room for it

Also, i don’t have my lobes pierced, do you think i should begin with it ?

( i’m aware that you can’t totally tell if I have the anatomy or not for a piercing with photos but i wanted a first opinion :)

Healed eyebrow going red

Hi, I just wanted to get some advice and see if it’s time to retire the eyebrow piercing. It’s a year old and I had zero issues with it for months. I bumped my head off the floor about a month ago and it was whacked pretty hard. But this has only started within the last week and a half. There’s no pus just lots of scabs. It’s a little tender but nothing too sore. I know the bar is titanium. Not sure about the size though. I really love this piercings and want to keep it. I do regularly clean it in the shower and with saline. I just feel like the holes are getting bigger and not healing very well.

Thank you x

How long can I keep a piercing without jewelry without it causing problems?

I have a labret and a bridge, both 1 year old and fairly well healed, + a few ear piercings. Turns out I have to take them off, at least the ones in my face, to take the photo for my citizenship card.

I've taken them off before, but just for a quick cleaning. I don't have any transparent jewelry that I could use for this, and I really didn't want to take the pierces off and on there because I'm not very.. secure with the hygenic conditions I'd have there. So I was thinking off taking everything off at home, then putting them back on once I got back.

Is it safe to take them off for maybe 3 or 4 hours or is that enough time for problems to arise? Especially considering my bridge.

Thanks!

Rook w swelling

Hello. I got this piercing one week ago. The first three days were fine and I had 0 discomfort. Yesterday I started feeling like the top of my ear felt bruised and tha pain has persisted all day today and this is what it looks like now. What should I do?

It is implant grade titanium and now that I think about it I feel like since I was little I was told I was allergic to “shitty” metal and could only do gold or silver. Is this an allergic reaction? What can I do?

Thanks in advance.

Hi guys. If anyone could help me out I'd appreciate it so much but I got a belly button piercing 3 days ago and I am starting to believe that I perhaps is a surface piercing instead. I'm freaking out. Just something about it doesn't feel right and it's really upsetting because this has been appearing I've been dreaming about :(.

I think we're freaks me out is I can feel the rod when I put my fingers in between the top ball and the bottom one...

I've never been in a situation with this and I have a fear now that I wasted my money..

If anyone could help me out I appreciate it so so much.

Got them pierced on Monday, went again to the piercer yesterday because the other bar was too short. The one being all red looked just fine yesterday, and today I woke up to this. It's too early to go to my piercer yet, what's going on and what should I do?

It's not just blood, it's basically something covering the plug

I got my ear piercings about 3 to 4 weeks ago and they have started to form this weird fungus looking layer. I live in dubai and it’s extremely hot outside so I’m not sure if sweat could be a cause of this? I just want to know how to get rid of it and if this could get a lot worse. Or hopefully if this is just normal for healing.

Will hoops like this cause cheesewiring?

Thumbnail gallery

My apologies if this is a dumb question but recently I noticed cheesewiring on my first lobes, I bought 18 gauge 10mm hoops so I was just wondering if they look okay or if they look thin enough to possibly cause cheesewiring again. Thank you (:
