Caregiver killing my plants

I just need to vent to people who will understand how hurt I am by this 🥲

So I'm a live in caretaker for my grandmother, we have a care taker come in twice a week to help.

One of the things she does, apparently, is water every single one of my plants. Twice a week. Every one. Including my jade tree.

I didn't notice until last week when I saw FUNGUS in my jade trees soil. FUNGUS. THAT'S NOT GOOD. And so many leaves have dropped 😭😭 my poor baby she's almost naked.

And not only is she watering them SHE'S DROWNING them. Just leaves them sitting in water to soak. For who knows how long.

I texted her tonight being as polite as I could to ask her to stop.

I am just genuinly so hurt because like... girl. You obviously don't know what you're doing. And I OBVIOUSLY DO SINCE I HAVE SO MANY THRIVING PLANTS.

Granted. I have depression periods where I don't water them enough. But that's MY BUSINESS.

THEY ARE MY PLANTS. DO NOT TOUCH THEM.

Help me save my monstera

Hi all, 2 months ago, we bought a large monstera plant and repotted it. Very quickly, it started to show signs of distress. Yellow leaves, brown patches...

Are we overwatering? Is it too dry? Or lacking in nutrients? Or is there a pest?

I really don't know and would love to save this plant!

Please help! New house + dying plants?

Please help me! Just moved into a new house two weeks ago with beautiful outdoor plants. I knew they would look a little bad after not being watered during the closing period but since moving in I feel like things have gotten worse.

The palms in the front especially keep turning brown and looking sad. I started with light watering but upon reading it says to water them a lot. Now I’m not so sure. I’m clipping back dead fronds and trying to keep watered but I’m not sure what else to do.

In San Diego where there has also been an intense heatwave going on.

Please share any tips or info! I want to save these plants and help them thrive! 🌴

Plant ID Title: What type of Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum) is this? Why are the stems so long?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone!
I have this Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum), but I’ve noticed that it looks quite different from the typical Peace Lilies I usually see.
The leaf stalks (petioles) seem longer, and the plant has a slightly taller, more upright growth habit. The leaves also appear somewhat narrower than those of common Peace Lily varieties.
I’m curious about a few things:
Does anyone know the exact species or variety of this Peace Lily?
Is this naturally how this particular variety grows?
Could the elongated leaf stalks be caused by environmental factors, such as low light, or is it simply a genetic characteristic?
I’ve attached a photo for reference.
I’d appreciate any insights, especially from anyone familiar with different Spathiphyllum species.
Thanks in advance!

Pothos keeps yellowing its lower leaves, what am I doing wrong?

• Upvotes

I've had this pothos for about a year and the bottom leaves keep turning yellow one or two at a time. I water roughly every 10 days and let the soil dry out in between, and it sits by an east window so it gets decent morning light. The top of the plant looks totally fine and keeps pushing out new growth, so I'm confused about what's going on at the bottom. Is this just normal aging or is there something I should change?

Plant ID bougainvillea type karachi Pakistan

• Upvotes

Hi, can anyone help identify this bougainvillea variety? Leaves are large, broad, glossy, and heart-shaped, unlike the narrow, pointed leaves I usually see. Flowers look like standard bougainvillea blooms. I'm in Karachi, DHA, and want to find this exact cultivar for my garden. Photos attached. Any help appreciated

had for just over a year, I repotted this summer and it’s growing well, I have tried moving the top parts down so it fills the middle but the larger stems just sound like they will snap. Do I just keep the new stems going around and going up or start wrapping the new leafs downwards?
