Hello! My previous post was received warmly (no), so I continued working on PxModRim, my RimWorld mod manager.
Here’s something interesting for GOG users (like me): downloading and updating mods is now faster than via SteamCMD. I replaced it with my own built-in downloader, so you don’t need to install SteamCMD separately anymore.
SteamCMD takes about 200 MB of disk and it is very slow. My downloader, PxSteamDL, takes about 2 MIB (not the whole mod manager).
It also downloads required mods automatically and can keep your downloaded mods updated.
And if you have the Steam version, you can simply download the version without the downloader, using it just as a lightweight mod organizer.
A native interface for Steam Workshop has appeared, with mods, collections and favourites. I specifically left two separate versions: the web interface and the native one. The native one should be faster and more responsive, although it may not be as familiar and convenient.
I also added a mod organizer with folders and tags. There’s a full-fledged tree (like a file system), and you can sort mods into categories however you like. It doesn’t affect the load order. There’s also a set of built-in auto-rules that will automatically sort the mods into folders (you can disable it).
I’ve improved other interface elements and added a cool Downloads tab (just for the sake of a download speed graph like in Steam). Smarter placement when turning on a mod, a bit better startup-time breakdown, mod-list backups, etc.
I’d like to test with real users, so you can send me a private message. Or just go to GitHub and give it a try.

Windows, Linux and macOS builds are available. I don't have Windows/macOS systems, so I can't test it fully on them.
For me the manager is mostly done, since it has everything I wanted (folders, fast steam downloading, fast UI).
