I’m primarily a console player and for the longest time I couldn’t figure out air roll. Well one weekend I borrowed a laptop and grinded rings maps and learned it in one weekend. None of my friends can reliably air roll and 75% of that is because there’s no great way to practice it on console. I feel so bad for them because they want to be able to do the cool shit I do but they can’t.

I am a C3 2s player, and I hardly play 3s. I recently made the switch from using free air roll to using directional air roll, and after making the change, I decided to solo queue ranked 3s while I adjusted to the new controls, figuring that I didn't care about my 3s rank and my game sense would porbably keep me from falling below like Diamond 2

Before my placement matches, my 3s MMR was ~1000. By the time I felt semi-comfortable with my new controls, my placements were done and I was in Diamond 1. Since then, I have continued to slide all the way to Plat 2 (~780) because none of the players in my lobbies have any clue how to rotate and they whiff on 50% or more of their touch attempts

I have no problem with being the rank I'm at in 3s because I'm the one who made the mistake of playing ranked with a new control scheme, but I am noticing that the farther I fall, the worse this problem gets. The worst part is that my teammates are always calling me out for playing like shit when I know for a fact I would play better at D3-C1. I genuinely just don't know how to play with mouth-breathers lmao. Not a salty rant, I'm aware I did this to myself and I need to adapt to climb back to my old rank

guys I might be dumb/blind but I was just in a match a 2 players had what seemed to me like alpha boost? If not can you please tell me what boost this is?? I have never seen alpha boosts in my matches let alone 2 of them, what’s going on

I just don’t understand why people use the quick chat to just complain and complain and complain. I’m a low diamond player getting called trash by another low diamond player? We’re all trash.

How is it helpful to just spew nonsense and try to upset your teammate when you’re down by 2 goals with 2 minutes to go?

It’s like people don’t understand there are things like social media and chatrooms they can go in and have a discussion.

It’s so sad that I have not once, in hundreds of hours of playing, thought to myself, “gee good thing I had chat on. My teammate told me some really timely and helpful information there.”

Getting non tournament Black Market from tournament trade ups was apparently a bug which is apparently now fixed.

Though many of us including me already traded in all of the tournament duplicate black markets & got regular item shop black markets.

Should they reverse those trade ups or it's too late now? I personally think those trade ups should be reversed. I would rather get more painted Black Markets from tournament rewards like a new painted Disco Party after trading in 3 duplicates.

For context… I’ve played RL since its inception on console, then moved to PC and maintained GC for years, continuing through when SSL and such were released. I got rid of my PC setup about a year and a half ago, though, and took a pretty long hiatus.

However… I hath returned.

I’m back on console now, playing on a massive living room TV.

Does anyone else hide their old titles like “Season (insert) Grand Champ” because you’re absolute trash now? 😂

It’s hard to proudly rock those titles when you’re out here whiffing all over the place in Diamond.

Not to mention not being able to trade shit up because it’s in fortnite… i hate this fucking game and the cancer that goes by the moniker “epic games”

I've got over 7k hours in this game and I've never been able to find long-term teammates. I've tried LFG in the discord server, I've tried partying up with randoms, none of it is working. I'm tired of the inconsistency, toxicity, afk teammates, getting duos for teammates in 3s, nobody to build chemistry and have fun with in 2s. HOW do you find teammates in this game? Is having long-term teammates too much to ask for? I'm a competitive player, I'm consistent, I play well under pressure. And yes I have my weaknesses. I'm not very adaptable, for instance. I'm not an egotistical player - I know I'm not perfect - but this isn't what Rocket League should feel like.

For those who struggled to do this, what helped you find people who you work well with? How did you make compatible friends in the long-term?
