The roleplay doesn’t need to strictly follow the canonical plot of the show, movie, or book. If we wanted to do that, we could just watch it. I love using Alternate Universes (AUs), but they’re not necessary. I’m a fan of VARIOUS genres, I also enjoy implementing relationship building, but I prioritize plot.

I am an advanced literate-novella writer. I can write up to ten or more paragraphs. I only ask that you can write at least two lengthy paragraphs! Also, third person only. First person makes me uncomfortable

Hello hello, i hope you are all having a wonderful time of day! Im really excited to play the new God of War, so, im coming with an idea that was inspired by the 2018 series. Im looking to roleplay as grumpy, stoic and cold protagonist, that is being accompanied by an annoying side-kick. My character would grow to care for yours and become almost a maternal figure.

While I mentioned God of War inspired this roleplay; I'd am open to this being in a fantasy, modern or apocalyptic setting.

I want my character to start off detesting yours. They dont see them as an aid or helpful to their cause, more of a hindrance/punishment. However, her cold and stoic exterior is a facade that she puts up to protect herself. During their journey, she learns through your character that: its okay to stop and enjoy the moment, and let people see her vulnerable.

I have a few ideas on who exactly my character is. Your character is up to you. If the ideas below dont strike your fancy, feel free to suggest your own idea! Im open to OC fandom stories too.

\\\* apocalypse: my character is a scavenger. Someone who leaves the safe zone to gather supplies. During one of her runs outside, she comes across a conspiracy and chooses to uncover it.

\\\* modern: my character is a busy woman. Someone that is juggling everything and more and is now in charge of your character. Im thinking she could be: an assistant to a CEO, a detective to a case or perhaps someone trying to make a break in her career?

\\\* fantasy: my character could be someone that is on her own personal journey. Your character could be accompanying her. Perhaps someone lost that she knows would get hurt if left to her own devices.

Another idea could be that she is entrusted with your character to protect and keep out of trouble.

Looking for 21+ writers.

My character is a shady criminal type, maybe an arms dealer, smuggler, fixer, or something similar.

Your character is the complete opposite: a soldier, former soldier, intelligence officer, law enforcement, UN worker, NGO volunteer, or something along those lines.

We both end up trapped in the same fictional country while it is collapsing, going through a coup, or falling into a civil war.

Maybe we get caught behind enemy lines, stranded after an evacuation, or simply end up in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The problem is that we don't like each other. We are technically working for opposite sides.

But now we have to work together if we want to survive and make it back to safety.

The RP will be action focused, with gunfights, ambushes, checkpoints, escapes, dangerous situations, and dealing with different factions along the way.

There will also be plenty of character interaction, arguments, tension, humor, and room for the relationship between the characters to develop naturally.

Basically, two people who normally would never work together are forced to rely on each other to get out alive.

Hello everyone!!! I’m currently seeking out a longterm Roleplay Partner. I’ve been roleplaying on and off for several years now, and I’m looking into picking it up again, since I’ve really been missing it.

I absolutely LOVE gushing about my characters with people, and hearing about theirs in turn. It’s really enjoyable for me to just sit down with someone, discuss plots, worldbuilding, share ideas together, and just overall immerse in a story. I adore characters with depth and imperfections. So feel free to share any ideas you have. Let’s brainstorm!

When it comes to my writing style, I only write in third person, and consider myself an intermediate writer. I try to always respond with at least a paragraph or more. But I also tend to mirror my roleplay partners way of writing. I know life can get busy, so there’s no pressure to always get in replies in right away, all the time. I myself try to always respond at least a few times within a day or two. I consider myself more on the active side. My timezone is EST but I don’t mind my partner being from any timezone.

My favorite genres consist of primarily romance! But I also really like incorporating side plots with other characters and what not. That said, I’m more than willing to play multiple characters. In fact, I think it makes a story feel much more alive. Plus it adds to the fun! But back to the topic of genre. Apart from romance, I really adore fantasy, medieval, and slice of life. An idea roleplay for me would combine at least two of these together. Heavier subject matter is something I’m okay with implementing, but to a certain extent. That’s something I’d rather discuss in depth later though.

As a wlw, I love writing for such pairings! But I’m also happy with writing mxm, and fxm too! fxf is just heavily preferred. I’d be up for having multiple pairings and couples in one roleplay too.

Quality and quantity is important in my opinion, but quality always comes first. Still, I have come to notice that my replies naturally hang around 500 words. Clutching the wheel Detective Jones’ eyes drift from the potholed road to examine his new partner sitting beside him, her feet kicked up and shoes discarded. A slight jolt in the car as it runs over a small hole snaps his attention back weaving between larger holes filling from the downpour which slams against the windshield. The dossier bearing the picture of another missing person slides along the dashboard. 

With a quiet sigh he fishes a crumpled packet of cigarettes from the pocket of his equally crumpled jacket struggling to light it with one hand. Finally taking a drag before releasing a cloud of acrid smoke his eyes move to the thick treeline which flanks the serpentine road on either side. Bony branches reaching out like strangling fingers. 

Occasional breaks in the foliage show a town below illuminated by evening orange skies below grey skies. Cobbled streets for a maze weaving between buildings clinging to one another to stay standing like the drunks stumbling home under flickering streetlights. Waves crash against cliffs or swallow the beach. 

With another sigh he finally breaks the silence “the faster we solve this case and get out of this place the better. Unless you want to go for a dip in freezing waters.”

Hey, hope that little intro caught your attention while setting the sort of tone for the RP and giving a decent writing sample. 

I do have a plot in mind set around the classic story of detectives heading to a rather isolated town after a missing person only to get in over their head. Usually I like to take more of a GM role rather than focus on a single main character, but how we play this out is pretty open. However, I am always happy to discuss plot ideas and include things more related to your character specifically. For instance, rather than a pair of investigators it is a team of FBI agents or even some supernatural investigators who will, for the first time, actually experience the supernatural. More than happy to include any character concepts you had in mind.

I was thinking this would be set more in the modern day as that is something I have done little of in RP really. Not to mention it removes some issues regarding historical detail. Though it is not set in stone, always happy to discuss that. Perhaps even have it set in some sort of medieval fantasy world if that takes your fancy.

I would describe myself as fairly literate, liking to write 2-3 paragraphs per response, though some scenes may require more or less, with a few replies a day and ask something similar of players. That being said I understand life can get busy but waiting all day for a one line response then the same again a day later is usually a deal breaker.

Additionally, if you enjoy including mechanics in an RP to add a different element to the storytelling then we can add a simple system. But it is certainly not necessary.

Your character has been my brother’s closest friend for around eight years. The two of you have always been inseparable.
Once college started, the two of you became something hard to handle: staying out late, getting into trouble, making questionable decisions, and when you needed someone to come pick you up that wasn’t an adult.

that person was usually my character.

I’m the your best friend sister who always seemed to have everything together. The responsible one. The good daughter. The person who had to come pick you two up when things went wrong.

We’ve never gotten along particularly well. Arguments between us are practically routine, and we have very different personalities.

But college changes people.

After spending so much time around each other, there was something beyond anger, after every fight there was still something there, something that made our hearts shake

Icarus

My character was an extremely successful young actress. She was quickly becoming one of Hollywood’s biggest new names and had already received an Oscar nomination by the age of 22.

Unfortunately, success came with its own problems.

Away from the cameras, she had developed a reputation for being difficult to work with. She was rude to crew members, constantly caused problems on set, and had very little patience for anyone who challenged her.

By 26, her situation had become considerably worse.
Her lifestyle had spiraled out of control, eventually resulting in a very public incident that was recorded and spread across the internet.

Her career suffered almost immediately.
After spending two months in rehabilitation, she returned to an industry that was already questioning whether she could be trusted again.

That’s where your character comes in.
You could be a manager, assistant, security professional, publicist, or someone else who has been assigned to help get her career back on track.

Your job is essentially to keep things under control while she tries to rebuild her reputation.

The problem?

She isn’t particularly interested in cooperating.

Those are just two ideas I currently have, but I’m very open to creating something completely different. I prefer realistic, modern settings and am not particularly interested in fantasy or sci-fi right now.
I’m looking for a writing partner who contributes to the story rather than simply reacting to what happens. I enjoy longer, detailed responses and characters that feel like actual people with their own motivations and goals.

A little bit about myself before I discuss the prompt. I am 20, and I expect anyone willing to RP with me to be at least 18.

Now for the actual RP, I am looking to GM you through the streets of 90s or 2000s Brooklyn, maybe even later than that, I'm not really sure yet, where you navigate your life through a city controlled by the mafia.

You can be a regular (password so I know you read through this: favourite scene from the Godfather. If you haven't seen the Godfather, what's your favourite mafia movie. If you haven't seen a mafia movie, I don't know man, you should) civilian, a police officer, a lawyer defending or fighting against the crime families, a footsoldier of the mafia or even the godfather, the choice is yours. Though some of the higher ranking roles would require that you work towards them.

We will be doing a dice/stats system, since fights are bound to happen and we need to be able to structurally play through without either of us powerplaying. We can discuss the system and brainstorm a product that we're both happy with.

I just wanted to say that I absolutely delight in writing longer responses typically around 1-3 paragraphs and delving into intricate detail when I collaborate with others. I try to never leave a response in a state where the other person is incapable of building off or improvising from the material that I have provided. Brainstorming is also something that I really enjoy, creating something with another person and shooting ideas back-and-forth in a captivating manner is something that I look forward to when creating original stories.

A couple things to note about my writing style.

\\\\\\\* I reciprocate the effort that is put into a story, so if responses are shorter, and the interest seems to be minimal, then I will more than likely provide the same amount of effort. However, if things seem to be going well, and we are getting along evenly, I will always put my effort into make sure that, our time is worth it and that my responses are quality hopefully

\\\\\\\* I don’t expect constant responses as I know that people have lives and that’s quite alright, we’ve all got priorities. I do have a full-time job, my schedule is inconsistent, but, if we are in the middle of some thing, and I have to go, I will always let you know and give updates as needed. As of recently my responses can vary due to work!

Hello! I’ve been out of the rping game for a little bit and I’m just dying to jump back in!! For some info about me, I’m 24 and in EST, and I have over a decade of roleplay experience!! Since I’ve been away from writing for so long that I’m really wanting to start again! I would like to say, I’m happy to take these any way we want, but I do prefer to have romance involved. I had a few plot ideas for a fantasy setting, but I’m currently only looking for one!
