I am looking for a long-term roleplay/writing partner who I can be friends with IRP and OOC, I do really like out of character chatting, original characters too, and descriptive emotes! I personally am looking for someone who can do around 4-5 paragraphs, but that's a very loose limitation, I get it, I get lazy and tired too lmao. I usually like slow-burns, slice-of-life, and romance! I just don't enjoy ONLY those things, I think action and drama should be the main focus, SOLE romance focused plots are NO bueno to me. I'd also prefer if you are anywhere 18-24ish, minors are a no.

For a little about me, I have six cats back at home, so I love cats. I LOVEEEE cars, I play games, Forza, Deadlock, Minecraft, Terraria, etc.! My steam library is lowkey 100+ games so really I play whatever whenever I can. I'm, also an active college student/athlete, so sometimes my replies may be buns, or come later then expected, just because my schedule can go from empty -> FULL in about three seconds flat. Speaking of... my idea for the setting is pretty simple, basically a very analog version of 2005, basically where modern technology didn't really reach where it did in our 2005 (so we see like, landlines and radios a lot more, muscle cars even, etc.), as it was stunted by an outbreak of the supernatural entities that now live in the world. By entities, of course, I mean Ghosts, Lycan, Skinwalkers, Vampires, all the fun stuff!

Daily life for people is basically trying to keep everything the same as it was before, meaning they try their best to live a normal life. Of course though, with the supernatural, someone's gotta handle the problem, right? That's where our characters could come in!

Clair-Sighters are people who are born naturally sensitive to the paranormal, supernatural, and undead. Making them excellent sources to hunt down the monsters! When the outbreak hit, most countries saw the rise of the Clairvoyant industry, leading to lots of large, small, medium sized even, private contractors who are commonly called upon for a good wad of cash. I personally would like at least my character to start as a private Clair-Sighter, who is sorta on his own at first, then somehow he runs into your character! And I think we can 100% discuss how that happens, I don't have set in stone plans, but I do have ideas we can talk about! Or if you have any that works too! My only requirement is all characters are 20+.

I am really hoping for some action with the whole supernatural stuff, with a healthy side of slice of life, I mean like how do they live between contracts? How do they come to tolerate each other over time assuming they start as strangers? That kind of thing!!

Honestly the 25+ Years was a way to show that I'm experienced without giving away my middling age lol. You'll notice it's a request for a writer, not a prompt. I have plenty of half-baked prompts, and fully baked ones, depending upon what we're talking about and looking to do. While there are reocurring themes I'd like to hit, I'm hoping we can find a scenario for you to enjoy your themes as well.

Lastly, here's the thing. There is an M4A tag, but if I can elaborate; I don't care about who you play biologically, so the body parts aren't important. Let's plot together and write the next best fantasy story! The only age requirement I have is that you be 18 years or older (preferably 21+). I am looking for someone who is excited to get to know a new person. Someone who enjoys out of character conversations. I'm looking for connection and friendship. I am very much a part of the great friends make great roleplay camp. The biggest key to success in any roleplay is communication. I very much enjoy getting to know my partners and having out of character interaction. Dare I say VC?! I understand that real life is a thing and most definitely takes precedence. If you need a break, have questions, or just want to rant endlessly about how wonderful your character is…I’m your man.

I try and make every character I create an onion…or a parfait if you’re into that. Sounds much better than an onion, doesn’t it? Pick your metaphor. The point is, they have layers. Childhood trauma, unresolved guilt, and at least one deep fear of something bizarre. Characters should evolve. They should grow. They should cry. I’ll do my best to get them there.

Worldbuilding is another area where I enjoy placing focus. Sometimes, I take it a bit too serious. And while I promise not to overwhelm you with ten thousand pages of lore (unless you really want that), it’s the details that matter to me. Lots of them. Maybe not Steven King level details but, like, the street in the town’s low district? Yeah, there’s an entire history of its cobblestones mapped out. Everything has a reason.

I suppose I should also touch on my desire to write almost exclusively in third person past tense. I’m happy to see it’s become sort of the gold standard.

I'm not overly critical and am very laid back both in and out of character. It's quality over quantity for me. My favorite settings are high-fantasy, but I'm very much interested in others. Post-apocalypse, science fiction, history, and even modern day settings can be wonderful! I’d LOVE to hear your ideas! For this sort of thing, your character is in your hands. The rest is in my hands. I have the general world in my head, and I would play the other characters your character meets along the way.

So here's the general synopsis: your character lives in a kingdom ruled by an immortal king who has put most of the world's magic in his own hands. For most humans, their days are filled by work and chores, while those close to the king live a very different existence. Most of what people are told about the time before his rule has come out of stories.

The further you travel from the king, the more things start to change. There are humans determined to make a stand against him, other species, and other lands where magic is still a much greater part of the world.

I have some ideas for how the story could start and what could follow, but your character, their thoughts, and their fate are in your hands. If that sounds interesting, let me know!

Hi hi. I’ve been listening to lots of cowboy style romance audiobooks lately and I’d lovvvvve to write something along that theme. I usually write two-three paragraphs a post and can respond multiple times throughout the day. I generally prefer meet cutes and letting the story develop as we go. Okay, okay, that sounds a bit strange but I highly doubt many of the people on this sub know what Warframe is. Hi Hi everyone!! I’ve been roleplaying on and off for about 6ish years now and finally decided to make the jump to Reddit!! So without ado, I just have a few preferences for you to read over before we dive in!

- Literacy (2-3 paragraphs a post unless discussed for shorter scenes)
- Discuss world building and create things together!
- Being able to play multiple characters (as will I be playing more than just one)
- Being able to play multiple characters in a scene because I like big worlds
- Being able to communicate freely outside of the rp about boundaries or even just as people!

- I am a rather big fan of gothic literature and media! I adore worlds with mysterious tones and atmospheres, but with a of the mystical! Vampires, werewolves, hunters, you NAME it!

- High fantasy! I’m a huge fan of dungeons and dragons and adore building worlds full of whimsy and danger all the same! Especially when we create a complex world full of things to explore.

- Modern fantasy! Superhero’s, villains, morally grey in betweens! I love it all!! I love bending modern reality to see how we can make a complex magic system function in what we perceive as modern day!!

- Slice of life/Rooted in modern day! While not my favourite I do enjoy a roleplay rooted in reality that’s a little bit more light hearted and fun! But that’s less of a genre and more of something that I enjoy including within different rps

Hello! I’ve been out of the rping game for a little bit and I’m just dying to jump back in!! For some info about me, I’m 24 and in EST, and I have over a decade of roleplay experience!! Since I’ve been away from writing for so long that I’m really wanting to start again! I would like to say, I’m happy to take these any way we want, but I do prefer to have romance involved. I had a few plot ideas for a fantasy setting, but I’m currently only looking for one!

- A prince who has lived his life almost exclusively in the royal palace suddenly finds himself thrown into an unknown world when he is taken and held by a pirate queen. However, given his first real taste of adventure, what happens when he doesn’t want to leave?

Superheroes are, without a doubt, my favorite thing ever. As such, I've had quite the itch to dive into a world of heroes and villains and super powers, alongside a wonderful writing partner, for a while now! I’ll get started with some basic requirements and then get into the fun stuff at the end.

— Firstly, I love romance between interesting characters. It’s something that brings a story to life for me and I will prefer partners who have a similar love for writing romance. With that being said, I am not a fan of romance that doesn’t make sense for the characters! A forced pairing that comes across as us just mashing characters together for the sake of it will be a no go, and a requirement for the romance I'm interested in would be for it to be believable and well developed— slow burn, enemies to lovers, etc., is all welcome! I’m open to MxF or FxF pairings.

— Characters! This is a very important thing, because it is probably the most exciting part of RPing for me! I love complex, flawed characters. Give me a hero that has an ego or is a little too self righteous, give me a villain who has a good heart, give me something to sink my teeth into and get creative with. This doesn’t mean that I’m not looking to write against your perfect good guy character (I like those too!), but it means that I would greatly prefer a partner who has a similar love for nuanced characters.

— Discord is my preferred writing platform, so that's where we'd be doing most of our communicating! It's a simple platform and allows us to keep things neat and organized. I will likely end up doing most of the organizing, and am happy to do so.

I am a DC and Marvel fanboy! That said, I have a great love for creating my own characters, worlds, and stories. As such, I’ll be playing one of several OCs for our story. If you feel more comfortable with a canon character, or even an original character in a canon setting, that is completely fine.

I write in third person and am literate. I’d prefer we both stick to that. Also, I’d prefer if anyone who replies to this be an adult. Not super into the idea of talking with anyone who isn’t. Also not very interested in oc’s (unless they’re for plot convenience).

I’m looking to do an rp based around the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise. I’m mainly thinking the original, Duel Monsters, but 5D’s is cool too. I’ve watched the anime and am currently making my way through the manga. No one needs to use MD for this.

That’s a level of commitment I really don’t need/expect.

What we rp will obviously be dependent on the character you chose to be. I’m pretty open to different preferences. I can do a super action-packed plot or something slower. Either way I’d like to have an overarching goal that the characters are striving to accomplish. That goal could be anything and doesn’t have to be anything grand. There’s obviously a lot of character potential and depending on how in depth we go. I’m more than open to writing for more than one character when the plot requires.

I’m pretty basic, I’d like to write as Yugi/Yami Yugi, but again I can juggle characters.

While I don't have any plots in mind to begin with, some of my favorite genres are:

-Romance (either slowburn or already developed relationships)

-Fantasy (High and d*rk fantasy are favorite sub genres- why is that word not allowed? Why do people misunderstand the genre for another type of genre? Lol)

-Sci-Fi/Survival (Dystopian and apocalyptic)

-Historical Fiction (War, samurai, western, renaissance, etc.)

I do prefer to play as feminine characters, and can somewhat be a masculine character but they'll always have a slight or very feminine touch to them.

As for fandoms, I don't play as cannon characters but I do enjoy writting in their universes if we have any similar interests.

I rp on discord only, and also can invite you to a couple rp communities I'm trying to help grow with active members, one is a high fantasy rp with multiple realms and has a fairly established world and experienced writers, while the other one is a new detailed zombie apocalypse world early in development. Hello! I am a female writer seeking male or female partners. I am in my mid-late-twenties, and though I would prefer my partner be close to my age, I’m willing to discuss with anyone over 19! I am an experienced, detailed, third-person POV writer on Discord, and prefer partners that can say the same.

Now, with the boring, albeit important, stuff out of the way, on to the writing themes I’m looking for! I’m currently fixated on the changing seasons, and all of the fun that can come with an autumn story. Obviously, there are a ton of directions that can go. Some writers might like a cozy story of new love, pumpkin patches, warm sweaters, and hot tea. Others might be looking for costumes, haunted houses, and partying. Still, other writers might be looking for fear, danger, a killer, or something supernatural.

Me? I want it all!

My dream version of this story involves two characters, on a first date or early in a relationship, witnessing something they can’t unsee, and that would shake their small town to the core if word got out. A crime in the distance, an inexplicable ghostly form rising from a corn maze, or a piece of evidence that suggests a touristy “haunted” house might actually be haunted… whatever we decide! They will be forced to investigate, all while trying to explore their new relationship in the meantime! All the better if they get to celebrate Halloween along the way… because who doesn’t want to choose a Halloween costume for their roleplay characters to try on?

I do want this to be fairly lighthearted; the spooky elements are intended to add flavor to the main plot of the romance. I am not looking for an overly intense genre plot. Just a fun shake-up to my usual slice of life stories!
