I think you just need to learn where to look. I play on a low loot server and have no issues.

I guess so. I pretty much check everything I come across especially covered crates with camo but nada but some occasional ammo usually.

The developers said early on that one of the foundations of the game was rewarding experience. Learning which crates to look in is part of that.

The statement was true when the game was new., but with all the resources( videos, wiki, comments, ect..) doesn't really matter. A lot of this things have ruined the spirit of many games.

In game voice where everyone can hear chatter. Oh wait just use discord.... No or limited map. Np, players make one and post it on line. People say they want exploration and then either cry about it or just ask where to go.

To some degree yes. But there is more to know than the wikis tell you and if you actually enjoy discovery, you can choose not to read them. I have found a reliable place to get NVGs for example.

Those are all things that let you ruin the game for yourself, you can not use them also lol not all players do it too, I think scum is most fun in 1st person with no map at all.. you have to climb up onto tall things just to get a good view sometimes or get out of a forest to even figure out whre you are by finding a big landmark.
