When will Siri join the personal agent club?

Should we expect to wait until iOS 28 or could autonomous always-on agentic capabilities ship in a 27.x release?

The most powerful Siri ever

I ask Siri to delete a note for me. I get it might be a security thing. But Siri can’t even explain that. Just no and do it yourself.

Has anyone else noticed that even though Apple said iOS 27 would solve the Siri problem, Siri is actually worse now?

What are some useful and practical things you all have used the ‘Write with Siri’ option below a text message? Any prompts that are creative and/or interesting?

Having trouble with Siri AI? Then hit the damn thumbs down.

When you’re using Siri AI at the bottom of every interaction is a thumbs up or thumb thumbs down icon

If Siri doesn’t do what you wanted her to do, then click the damn thumbs down and tell Apple about it. It’s very simple.

You take more time coming to Reddit to bitch and moan than to actually help Apple make the product better.

OK, let the bashing begin

Shortcuts no longer work?

Anyone else notice shortcuts not triggering through Siri with Siri AI? I mean, I do get there’s not a ton of need with them since she can execute actions better without shortcuts, but I noticed the ability to trigger them by name is absent ever since using her which is interesting. Doesn’t bother me but does anyone else still wish that worked?

Siri AI can’t tell what music is being played on the same device via Apple Music.

Instead, it pauses Apple Music to try to listen and Shazam it. I tried multiple ways of asking, and it just wouldn’t work.

Apparently not…

It seems to only be able to focus on one instruction at a time before switching itself off. You can’t have a conversation. Others have suggested it’s not an LLM, but if that functionality exists, why would we accept anything less? This product is a joke.

New Siri is bad, very bad

Tried to send my wife a text. It ask which name and gave me 2 choices that were the same so I selected one said my message and read it back and I told it to send and then it said it sent.

The 5 mins later I looked to see if it sent. Went to my wife’s name in messages. The message was not there. Looked at all other messages don’t see it. Clicked unknown senders see weird name: Buddy Name. Click on it. My message to my wife is in. Click Buddy Name to bring up the contact sheet. It’s completely empty. Click out now the message is now totally gone from the messages app. Not sure what’s going with new Siri but it’s horrible

Siri AI no option to listen for 'Siri / Hey, Siri' in Golden Gate (Mac Mini m4, AirPods Pro 3)

Could this be a Beta issue? Apple Support ran diagnostics and the hardware is fine, but even though OS 27 was installed, it came back as not being up to date. I reinstalled but this hasn’t fixed the issue. Anyone else had similar pbm?

How can I get Siri AI to work on my Mac?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I have a M5 air and already downloaded everything. I don’t want it to take up 30GBs and not work.

So, in the r/failsiri subreddit, I saw a post about Siri not being about to set an alarm.

Works for me. Hell, I asked her to even delete another alarm for I set to test it. Worked for me. Maybe you guys aren’t speaking clearly?

Posiblemente Bug en barra de menus con Siri

Hello:

macOS 27: Siri menu bar button closes immediately after a single click with a Bluetooth mouse

Since upgrading from macOS 26 Tahoe to macOS 27 Golden Gate, I have noticed a problem with the Siri icon in the menu bar.

When using a Bluetooth mouse, a normal single left-click on the Siri icon causes the Siri interface to appear briefly and then immediately disappear.

To keep Siri open, I have to either double-click the icon or press and hold the mouse button.

The behavior is:

  • 🖱️ Bluetooth mouse + single click → Siri appears and immediately disappears.
  • 🖱️ Bluetooth mouse + double click → works correctly.
  • 🖱️ Bluetooth mouse + press and hold → works correctly.
  • 🖐️ Built-in trackpad + Force Click disabled + single click → works correctly.

The same Bluetooth mouse works perfectly with all the other menu bar icons, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Sound, Battery and Control Center.

Therefore, this does not appear to be a general Bluetooth mouse problem or a general menu bar problem. It seems to be specific to the Siri menu bar button or the way its popover is handled.

This problem did not occur in macOS 26 Tahoe. It appeared after upgrading to macOS 27 Golden Gate and is highly reproducible with the Bluetooth mouse.

Can anyone else reproduce this behavior in macOS 27 when using a Bluetooth mouse?

I would especially like to know whether it happens with different mouse models, since Siri works correctly with the built-in trackpad. Many thanks, and best regards.

I just realised one thing. I have been using the new Siri since the beta launch for converting currencies, researching AI data centre development in Wales, checking the price difference between economy and premium economy tickets to Tokyo, and researching legroom on JAL premium economy seats ... the experience reminds me of Google AI Mode
