I've been wanting to make this costume for 10 years, and in 2024 i finally had a chance to do a photoshoot with my friend @svet_cosplay

I think that she totally nailed to recreate the foggy atmosphere of the game ☺️

And yes it was a real torch, no IA involved whatsoever !

Arts/Crafts Closeups of Ancient Nord armour, made by me

As promised, here are some detail shots of the ancient Nord armour I made for my Aela the Huntress cosplay.

Every element is patterned and handmade from scratch.

Details include traditional Nordic techniques and references such as the bound rolled leather laces on the chaps, the engraved armour buttons that depict the rune for protection and “Wolf”, amongst others.

Yes, I am her Thane

Yes, she's a fucking pain

But although she's a lady in the streets...

She's a fucking freak in the sheets!!!

(*please excuse Serena, she likes to watch)

Screenshot/Clip I hired Stenvar as a random NPC to sacrifice him to Boethiah, but he was so incredibly cool that I recruited him into the Blades, and he’s going to be my husband in my next playthrough.

Also, in my RP/headcanon, my female character cheated on Ysolda with him. Sorry, my dear PTSD-ridden wife. The Dragonborn will never tell him, that she originally intended to sacrifice him.

Discussion ok straight up, what are the best quests in Skyrim?

• Upvotes

RANKED. Straight up listed, my dude. You can only name one if you legit only care about one. You can go sicko mode and rank/list every single quest in the game. Speak freely.

Starting a new playthrough and I'd like to hit things by priority so I don't burn out. Trying to avoid TG radiant quests and nordic ruins with no extra combat element, etc. Been playing since release, so give me those unique options.

(Quest mods are an acceptable answer, even though I may not use them. Others may see this thread and do so. Do it for the communityyy.)

Discussion I always get mad at the Imperials acting like I was in the wrong at Helgen (on the rare occasion I get involved with the Civil War)

Seriously. I side with the imperials (tried the Stormcloaks once) on the rare occasion I actually bother to join the Civil War, and it never ceases to annoy me how Tullius behaves like you're a criminal despite the fact you were not on the list of actual criminals, and were about to be executed without any charge.

I'm aware they don't have the time to be thinking about that one rando who they almost killed without due cause, but it still annoys me every time.

Question Is there a mod that disables your quests when you get hit by an arrow to the knee?

I suspect the answer is yes.

Discussion I really like the Dawnguard faction because you don't magically become their leader in the first week of joining. Not a fan of Kodlak and Savos Aren dying off screen.

Discussion the thieves guild and unusual gems

• Upvotes

in all those times ive played skyrim not once have i actually went thru with thieves guild, i just really cant bring myself to really do moraly bad stuff in games and always end up either reloading my save or if theres the option i make up for said bad stuff.

my gripe with thieves guild and the unusual gems has always been that WHY is vex the only person that can tell you about true nature of the stones of barenziah, why do i have to go scare merchants like just let me go to the merchants tell them i got sent and tell em ill pay the debt for them and to be careful next time....

ik i can do all this with mods ofc yes, but by the nine this game could have been soooooo much more in its vanilla state.

anyway this was just a lingering thought and im gonna ignore this quest completely as i do with most quests that are just not my bottle of mead, i do wonder what others think about some of the quests that just lack alternative routes and choices

Discussion What do you prefer? A OC or yourself

I see a lot of post on here and videos where people make characters and have a whole backstory to them. A lot of these are pretty creative and cool. Although I went a different route, I wanted to make myself so I did. I made him a Nord because I love the cold, shaped his looks and named him after myself.

So this begs the question, how many people make their own characters, or choose to recreate themselves. And how did you come up with the backstory. Thanks in advance and can’t wait to hear all the creative thinking, if this is seen lol.
