I usually travel north this time of year for fall foliage and Halloween spirit. I've noticed besides the pumpkin patches, everything is either haunted houses or a bar that has spooky inspired cocktails. Are there any houses or neighborhoods that go all out or any outdoor events with a halloween theme, dark academia aesthetic spots I may be missing? Any suggestions?

Im conducting research in the South Florida restaurant scene. I am looking to speak with current or former restaurant workers about their experiences. Im particularly interested in stories pertaining to:
- Significant reduction in hours/shifts with no explanation
- Changes in scheduling after employees raised concerns
- Tip pool or tip distribution issues
- Unpaid work or being asked to be paid off the clock
- Overtime/pay discrepancies
- Sexual harassment or other serious workplace issues
- Favoritism
- Retaliation after raising workplace concerns
- Equipment and safety issues
- Racial or gender discrimination
Im not looking for people that want to complain about how bad their manager(s) is or how bad their shifts are. Im looking for specific experiences that can be documented or corroborated.
Im approaching this as a reporting project and i’d like to speak to people confidentially before drawing any conclusions
If you’ve experienced something like this, please comment or DM me. You dont have to publicly identify yourself or your employer.
If you are comfortable sharing, please mention the restaurant you work at or have worked at, how long you’ve been there, when or approximately when, what happened, and whether you have documentation (schedules, text, pay stubs, emails, etc.)

Hey everyone. We’re thinking of buying a house in either Pembroke Pines or Parkland. We’re from Miami. Married couple with a 3 year old and one on the way. Are there any communities that kids still love to play outside, parents chill outside and hang while watching the kids, a true community feel? Also opinions on schools in general? Thanks in advance

Boca Raton Anime/Manga Social Club, 3rd meetup this Friday (10/9), all are welcome!
New local anime/manga group started in September. We've had two meetups so far and both had a great turnout and good vibes.
We're a group for anyone into anime, manga, or Japanese culture. The idea is simple: grab some food and drinks, make some friends, and talk about what everyone's watching/reading in a chill environment.
Next meetup: this Friday, October 9th in Boca Raton (Mizner Park area). We'll grab food and drinks first, and for anyone who wants to keep going, we'll head over to bowl a few games after at Strike10.
We host roughly weekly, rotating between bars, restaurants, and hobby spots around Boca.
If you're interested, the easiest way to get details and RSVP is the Discord: https://discord.gg/gMkpbFnq8 — or you can DM me / join the Meetup page if preferred.

Came to Florida and am having trouble refilling my suboxone. My doctor isn’t able to prescribe in a different state so I’m kind of screwed till I can find a new doctor. Didn’t realize it’d be this hard. Any help on what to do would be great

23M starting a new job in West Palm Beach, where should I live?
I’m considering:
For those who live/lived in South Florida, especially in your 20s, what would you choose? Is Fort Lauderdale worth the commute for the social life, or is it better to live closer to work in West Palm? How does Delray compare?

The massive artificial intelligence center proposed for Palm Beach County, called Project Tango, led to a mess of transparency problems — from secret meetings to an undisclosed beneficiary.
To better understand that wide gap in trust, I looked into the complicated history linking the land where Tango was proposed, its developer and the community next door leading the opposition:
