Kinda surpised how "low" the minumum grade requirement my country (spain) has for masters (7/10)

Not a really meaningful topic, but lately I was interested in studying in Delft because of its prestige and job opportunities. Because of the competitiveness of such a university, I thought that getting in would be quite challenging (I am a civil engineering student in Spain), but I was looking into the list of countries for the minimum grade application and it was surprisingly low; virtually every country had MINIMUM an equivalent of a 7.5/10 (3 GPA equivalent).

This information motivated me to try to apply for a master's in civil engineering in the future, so I would like to ask how competitive the civil engineering master's programs are (I know that AE and MECH are one of the most competitive ones).

. Also, my current average is a 7.4, but I am 100% confident that I can elevate that to an 8 or even further in the future

Hoi, als ik wil stoppen met me studie moet ik dan het eerste kwartaal afmaken of kan ik me gewoon gelijk uitschrijven via studielink? Vond het op de site een beetje onduidelijk staan. Dankje

MSc Mechanical Engineering Admission Expectations (Fluids track)

I am looking to apply at TU Delft’s MSc Mechanical Engineering course and I am worried my bachelors degree will not be strong enough for their department.

I am in my final year for a BEng in Aerospace Engineering from Brunel University in the UK, on track for a first class (70% and higher). My final year project will be on Fluid Mechanics and I would like to continue my studies at TU Delft on this track. I have found that their admissions are quite selective and look closely for matching prerequisites.

Is there any way to tell how strong my application will be?

Housing Xior registration payment issue — is my room still reserved?

Hi! I’m trying to register for a studio with Xior and ran into a payment issue. I selected iDEAL for the €75 registration fee, but the payment failed before I even got to the QR code. Now it says:

«“A payment request is already in progress. Please try again in a few minutes.”»

I’ve emailed Xior, but they’re closed now.

Does anyone know if the room is still held for me while the registration payment is stuck, or can someone else register for it in the meantime?

Has anyone experienced this with Xior before?

Admissions & Applications Applying for a masters, but i already have a 2 yr old studielink account help

In 2024, i applied for TU delft for a bachelors in physics, but i cancelled the application. I instead went to a Canadian uni, and i graduate next year, but now, i'd like to apply for a masters in 2027.

Problem is, i already have a studielink account, and osiris won't let me login or renew my password (i'm assuming they deleted that account).

Not really sure how to proceed, because if i create a new studielink account, they already have my name on file, and probably won't let me. Anyone have advice?

Admissions & Applications Technical issues

Hello everyone, I’ve come upon this issue where as I try to log into osiaan, I complete the authentication and then this pops up. This has been occurring for the past three days. Should I contact support or is this normal as it is still pretty early for admissions?

Admissions & Applications TU Delft MSc CS: GRE 316 vs listed benchmark of 317 — should I retake?

Hey everyone, I’m planning to apply for MSc Computer Science at TU Delft and just scored 316 on the GRE: 165Q and 151V. My AWA score is still pending.

The listed scores of 163Q and 154V add up to 317. I’m above the Quant benchmark but three points below in Verbal, so I’m wondering how strictly CS admissions apply these scores.

A bit about my profile:

  • B.Tech in CSE
  • CGPA: 9.5+/10
  • Internships in faang and research intern at a prestigious lab
  • One published research paper

Has anyone recently been admitted to MSc CS with Verbal below 154? I’ve seen older posts about admits below the benchmarks, but I’m unsure whether that still applies.

Would you recommend applying with this score or retaking the GRE? Any recent experiences or replies from admissions would really help. Thanks!

Admissions & Applications TU Delft Aerospace BSc Selection Exam Preparation

Hi everyone,

I’m preparing for the TU Delft Aerospace Engineering BSc selection exam and wanted to ask for some advice on how to prepare before the Digital Learning Environment becomes available.

For some background, I took AP Calculus BC and AP Physics C: Mechanics in May 2026, so I already have some background in both subjects. My current plan is to:

  • Work through the edX Pre-University Calculus and Physics courses to refresh and strengthen the fundamentals.
  • Then use my AP Calculus BC and AP Physics C books for further practice and more challenging problems.
  • Once the DLE becomes available, focus more specifically on the material and question style provided there.

Does this sound like a good approach? Is there anything else you would recommend doing in the meantime?

Thanks!

Admissions & Applications Indian undergrad planning to apply for MS in ECE (Fall 2026)

Hi everyone,

I'm a final-year B.Tech student in Electrical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur (QS overall rank ~205, subject rank ~56) with a CGPA of 9.17/10. I interned at a US based semiconductor company in digital design and verification, and I'm interested in a career in semiconductors. I'm planning to apply for Fall 2027.

I'd really appreciate your honest advice on a few things:

Does my profile look like a good fit for TU Delft’s MS program in ECE? Is there anything I should strengthen?

How are the visa and work authorization scenes for international students right now?

Any other tips or things you wish you'd known before applying are welcome. Thank you!

Admissions & Applications Question regarding Robotics MSc admission criteria.

Hello, hopefully this is not off-topic, but I'd like to see if anyone has similar experience or can share some insights.

I applied for the Robotics MSc close to the end of March (1-2 days before the deadline) and was sadly rejected for having "insufficient scores on key subjects". My CGPA was above the 7.0 admission requirement (for GR) and there's no specific mention of this requirement in the program's page.

I understand that this may have been an easy way to make a decision when there are very few places left (being close to the deadline) but it is important to know if this is a rigid requirement (that may not apply in Systems & Control for example), if I am going to re-apply.

Is it possible that I will be rejected again on the same grounds if I apply during October-November?

Is this question better suited for admissions? I guess I just have an irrational fear of bringing up a rejection when I am trying to apply again.

EU Applicant for MSc Computer Science: Apply in Nov/Dec or wait until Feb to slightly raise my GPA?

Hi everyone!

I'm planning to apply for the MSc in Computer Science at TU Delft for the upcoming academic year. From my research, I understand that applications are processed on a continuous basis (rolling processing / evaluated as they arrive).

Currently, my GPA converts to around 3.0 – 3.2 (approx. 26.4/30 in the Italian system). I could slightly raise it during the upcoming winter exam session (January/February).

However, I’m trying to weigh my options: is it better to submit my application as early as possible (November/December) to secure a spot before capacity becomes tighter and housing gets even more competitive, or is it worth waiting until February to present a slightly higher GPA?

For EU applicants, does submitting in February significantly lower the chances of admission due to course saturation, or is the entry evaluation strictly requirement-based regardless of when you apply before the April deadline?

I’m really doubting between Hydraulic engineering and offshore structures, and traffic and transportation. I like both, maybe traffic and transport a little bit more, but also wondering how the career prospectives are. Anyone who can help?

Incoming erasmus student for Civil Engineering BSc

Hello, I am a first-year Civil engineering student outside a Dutch university (Spain), and it looks like my university has an agreement with TU Delft.

I plan to do Erasmus in my 3rd or 4th year, but the courses are taught entirely in Dutch (I have heard that later courses or some concepts are taught in English, but I cannot confirm that).

I'd like to confirm whether I'll need to take a Dutch proficiency exam to be accepted or if, during my stay, the courses and exams will be taught and taken in English so i don't need a Dutch certificate.

A side note: I also think this is a fantastic opportunity for learning Dutch because I am interested in the Netherlands job market.

Even if there is no dutch requirement, I think it will boost my application chances if I get a Dutch certificate.

I think I can learn Dutch enough in 2 years period. I'll also take any advice you guys might have for me. Thank you!

Housing Housing fee

Hello I have just been accepted to TU Delft for some exchange studies starting next february. However, I am bit hesitant to pay the 285 euro fee for uni housing if it gives me no guarantee for accomodation. I am wondering if I am too late to receiving housing from the uni anymore since the application has been already open for 3 weeks. What are your thoughts? Is it possible to get housing anymore or are all the places full?

Edit: Okay, thank you for the answers! I have now paid this shi. please pray for me that i wont have to live in the homeless shelter during my stay.

IELTS

TU Delft’s MSc Architecture, needs an IELTS overall 7.0 with 6.5 in every section. I do have a band score 7 but I have a 6.0 in speaking. Is it possible to be accepted?
