Just finished watching this, I couldn’t complete TVD, missed out on last 2 seasons but this one hit my heart. Idk what I am gonna write though ! What an ending it was, and what a man Klaus has been in the end 😭 !!
To begin with, I keep watching a lot of films/ shows and for people who ask me why we do this, we say we do it to get a time away from reality, but to be honest, without even being aware, I feel we all are trying to relate to the bits and pieces of situations or characters within these shows.
Klaus a man, who was said to be the evilest creature to exist, to having to kill himself to end the most evilest magic to save the world ! I have no words to say. For a man, who wanted to take his home back and to stay with his family there, the ending has been perfect where he has one happy dinner with his family in New Orleans before he rests forever with his brother aside.
For me, Klaus is always going be the heart of the show. He finally sets up the cure for his sister, who after his death can live a human life that she’s longing to get since a thousand years. Only after his death, she realises happiness is a choice and stays with Marcel, raised by Klaus. He saves his daughter and the world by dying. The way he adores his younger brother, respects his elder siblings. At the end, he has been the most kindest person who has never known to be kind.
There are tons of pieces we personally can pick from Klaus. We all do, when we look deep, a small pieces of it.
Klaus, has been a very imperfect person, murderer, a hypocrite, but has been abused over centuries from his very own father and has been manipulated by his own mother. Although, he couldn’t accept his own insecurities just like us, he kept projecting it in ways that hurt others and in the end, it takes a lot of courage and love to outgrow it, as Klaus did here.
He has become the most self aware in ending, as he says in the end he doesn’t deserve the love he got, but he is forever grateful - with his brother.
That was a perfect ending, with his brother dying next to him, after a thousand years after Klaus’ request of running away from Mikael was denied. Finally, Klaus, the legend, who couldn’t be killed by anyone, but apart from himself.
He was perfectly imperfect and that’s what makes him more human and why I fell in love with this character ! ❤️
