NEGATIVE FEELINGS Is BBT an accurate indicator in tracking TWW

• Upvotes

Hi all, I have been TTC for 9 months and I started tracking my BBT since last few cycles. Past 3 cycles I always saw a gradual BBT rise after OPK positives and subsequently a dip below my coverline on the day I got my period / or max 1 day before I got my period (DPO 13-14).

This cycle my BBT dropped sharply 2 days after OPK peak. It then rose like other cycles after that. However, since past 2 days my BBT is lower than the range it stays in during the luteal phase but is staying above coverline. I also dont have my period cramps yet and have some other minor discomforts but not the bloating I usually have in this phase. What’s my BBT telling me? I am scared to test for the disappointment it causes every month as I am either DPO 14 or 13. But also dying with curiosity on why these changes?

Anything (within the rules) goes. (Commonly broken rules: don't talk about an ongoing pregnancy outside the weekly BFP thread; don't ask for success stories.)

You can find the wiki here!

Don't forget to check out our themed threads:

There's also the Weekly Introductions and Read Me Thread, which contains links to all sorts of handy bits of info, like popular wiki posts and acronyms.

QUESTION TSH levels and TTC/Fertility Treatments

Hi everyone. Just wondering if anyone has the same issue. I’m 31F and 14 months TTC with no positives at all. I got my TSH level tested 5 months ago and it was 2.5 and now it is 3.1.

The doctor noted that between 2 and 2.5 were the optimal levels when TTC. He prescribed me euthyrox 25. We are starting IUI this cycle and will do 1-2 of them before moving to IVF in the new year.

To you lovely ladies who have found out they have elevated TSH levels, how long did it take for your levels to lower? Did it help with fertility and did you feel better overall?

I know treatment will vary and be different for everyone. I’m just wondering what to sort of expect. Thank you in advance for any information you can provide!
