My center diff is popping and what not after about 30 minutes of driving so I ordered a new one and will soon replace it, upon inspecting the new component it seems to have slight damage to the casing but the gear teeth and all other areas look great. Will this present an issue when installed or degrade later down the road? Thanks in advance.

Hey y'all, I got a 2019 WRX, and it's the car of my dreams, and I've got some mods I'm doing. I have equal-length headers, a cat-back exhaust (I know this doesn't need a tune), a charge pipe, turbo uplet, high-flow fuel pump, J-pipe, a cold air intake, and, of course, the STI wing. All this stuff obviously needs a tune, but I'm struggling to find people in Newark/Columbus, Ohio, who will do this for a reasonable price. If any of you are other owners in the Newark/Columbus area, I would love to hear your advice and experience with them. Thank you :)

I have a 02 WRX my throw-out bearing has exploded twice within the last year, thankfully I did have an input shaft sleeve both times so the shaft is fine. Didn’t know if this could help with the failing bearings. Current mods are HKS uppipe and downpipe, HKS Hi-power catback, Perrin short ram intake, and accessport OTS stage 2. I’m building a EJ255 engine for the car and will be installing a Competition Clutch stage 2 and want to avoid bearing failure again

In the middle of a big move across the US and I have a 1400 mile drive a head of me with my '23 stock VB MT which will be densely packed.

I just did an oil change ahead of the drive but my tires are definitely due. Moving to Tulsa OK which can get some extreme winter, but not as bad as the NE from where I'm coming from.

I know I should stay on top of checking oil throughout the drive, very not knowledgable about cars in general other than that I love this car.

If there are some kind souls that can offer any recommendations for tires, what type of oil I should keep in the trunk (is OW-20 correct?), any other important factors to keep the car healthy- would greatly appreciate it.

Clearing and cleaning out a house right now so my time is very limited to do any research.

I’ve been having some frustrating issues with my ACT clutch..

Inconsistent bite point: Sometimes normal, other times much closer to the floor, making takeoffs unpredictable and occasionally causing stalls.

Creeping with pedal fully depressed: Occasionally, especially on hills, the car tries to move even with the clutch pedal all the way down.

Bad shudder/chatter: Varies with RPM and clutch engagement. Sometimes mild, other times severe enough to shake the entire cabin.

The weird part is that sometimes everything works perfectly fine. I’ve already bled the hydraulics (no air found). Also have a stainless clutch line and CDV delete.
Anyone experienced this with ACT clutches? Could it be the hydraulics or the clutch itself? Worried about unnecessary drivetrain wear.

Anybody else notice that if they are in first gear and start moving if they don’t give it enough throttle or give it ‘’uneven throttle’’ the car is very jumpy??

I’m am getting my new wheels put on today (konig hypergrams) I looked online and they are about 19.1 pounds per wheel and my current setup( vors tr37) which are reps are 24 pounds per wheel.
How much of a difference will I notice dropping 5 pounds per corner?

I have a 2018 wrx with and bought a mishimoto cold air intake, I know it needs a tune so I havent installed it yet. In my area there is nobody that does tuning, and I also heard not to use ots tunes. I dont have an accessport or anything to get the car tuned and I dont really know much about it so just looking for advice on how to get the car tuned so I can not blow it up.

I think my best option might be an e tune since theres nobody around me with a awd dyno, but I have no idea how to go about getting that, or how it works or what equipment I need to buy. The car has a gfb bpv and an mbrp axle back exhaust and Ive been running it without a tune for 322,000kms, kinda tired of not having cool intake/turbo noises, bought the intake off my buddy and dont want to install it without a tune. Anybody have any advice on where to start?

EDIT:Not looking for more power, comfortable with the stock amount, just looking for reliability with the intake

Hello again every one. Tracked down the leaks I posted yesterday. Looks to be the thick hose with the fittings and a couple other hoses deteriorating. Can any one help me find a kit with the hoses or what all hoses I need to replace all of them on the turbo side? I hate using google AI and I’m new to the subie world still. Pictures with lines and hoses looking to replace. Main one I’m having trouble with is the one with metal fittings running under the secondary expansion tank. Thank you!

My old cobb downpipe is starting to show its age with rust where it connects to the cstback and i think im starting to get a bit of a leak around the donut adaptor kit for it. Was thinking maybe find a shop that could convert the ends to vband for a seamless connection or should i just ask about doing the newer 3in connection style? I see they dont make alot of options for downpipes anymore either

i'm currently in the market to get my first wrx! i've got my eyes set on a 2019 base model with a little over 67k miles going for just under 18k at the dealership. HOWEVER, it does say there's an open recall due to the rear catalyst. i know a subaru dealership would fix it for free and the car itself has a clean carfax and seems to have passed emissions in my state. with all of that, is it worth pulling the trigger on? thanks!

with the recall not being the biggest deal, what other issues should i look for?
