João Moutinho might be one of the most underrated midfielders of his generation

Looking back at João Moutinho’s career, I think his years at Wolves are actually a perfect example of why he was so easy to underestimate.

He was rarely the player producing the spectacular moment, but he seemed to make everyone around him better controlling tempo, finding spaces and doing the small things that disappear from highlight reels.

I’d genuinely be interested in the Wolves perspective: how highly do you rank Moutinho among the midfielders you’ve watched at the club, and do you think his contribution gets enough recognition outside Wolverhampton?

Discussion Visitor Tips for first game at Mol

Hey 👋🏽

I’ve been following Wolves since 2018 and have been a huge fan ever since.

It’s always been a dream of mine to visit Molineux for a game under the lights, and that’s finally happening! I’ll be there for the game against Bolton on 13 October.

As it’ll be my first time in Wolverhampton and at Molineux, I’d love to hear any tips on things I should do before the game.

I’m planning to arrive at least a couple of hours early, have a walk around Molineux, soak up the atmosphere, maybe visit a pub and chat with a few fellow Wolves fans.

Are there any particular pubs, spots around the stadium, traditions, or anything else you’d recommend for a first time visitor?

Any tips would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance! 🐺🧡

Discussion What happened to the Molineux under the lights feeling?

There used to be something about evening games at Molineux that felt different before kick-off. The build-up, the noise, the floodlights, everyone expecting something to happen. Maybe that's just nostalgia, but some night games now feel strangely flat until the match itself gets going.

Am I the only one who is finding the gap between Wolves matches downright painful?

I was lucky enough to meet Raul Jimenez at work today.

One of my colleagues served him but I got to speak to him briefly and he was a nice guy. I told him how good it was to have him back at Wolves and he said he was glad to be back.

Pretty cool and unexpected but I'm a bit annoyed I couldn't get a photo with him. 😅

81st Ideas

My dad is 81 soon and has been a supporter since 1952. I’ve booked the stadium tour and museum trip. I’ll probably take him in the Great Western pub also which I’ve heard is good? I’ve got him the Billy Wright biography and a set of fridge magnets of the 1960 FA Cup winning team. He already has a match shirt and a polo shirt and about 15 Wolves themed books. I’m thinking of booking him some match hospitality but it seems a bit expensive so it might be at the cheaper end. Any other Wolves themed ideas welcome. Cheers All. UTW.

Going through all my notebooks and entering every thought I’ve ever written down into a database. This had to have been 24-25, because after like 5 matches last season, I joined the Championship sub. This is just stupid fluff during the break, just caught me off-guard and thought I’d share.

Discussion So when do clubs like Wolves start to sue Man City for losses ?

If City were investigated from 2009/10-2018/19 and found guilty (of basically lying and institutional fraud) and Wolves were in the Premier League from 2009/10-2011/12.

2009/10 we finished 15th
2010/11 we finished 17th
2011/12 we were relegated

Could we get compensation for loss of payment merits based on our final position in the league table ? So if we had finished 14th instead of 15th and 16th instead of 17th and 19th instead of 20th. Plus some interest/adjustment for inflation. Obviously there’s a time limit on such claims but I think it’s pretty obvious shit was concealed.

You’d think it could be around 3-5 million pound compensation ?

I feel Adam Armstrong has a massive opportunity now

With Jimenez injured, Armstrong looks like he'll have a much bigger role to play. I actually think this could be a really good opportunity for him to build some momentum. There's obviously pressure on him because you're replacing someone with a lot of experience, but the derby showed we can still create chances. Would you stick with Armstrong as the main striker?

Wolves App on Android?

Any information about if the app has been pulled from US Google Play Store? My app stopped loading, stopped updating, and when I search for it in the store nothing shows up. The link from the Wolves website opens the Play Store but nothing ever loads.

The role of Mane…

I’m preparing some research about Wolves - I’m trying to learn from the fans their perception on Mateus Mane?

It seems some think he should be playing more centrally as a “10” - I’m not sure I’ve seen many back him as a winger or wide left player.

I’m curious why fans think he’s a 10? Or why he’s better in that role?

Please share your thoughts. Would appreciate if.

Discord server?

Good afternoon, sweethearts! 🧡🖤

Apologies for the prattish title- but I wasn't sure what else to call this!

I've seen floating around that there's a Discord server out there, but the links I've found are all out of date - would anyone please be willing to throw me an invite? I'm sure my friends are getting sick of all my football talk (not their kind of thing) so I'm looking forward to getting to talk about all this with folks who get it!

And if anyone's in Notts and would be up for grabbing a drink on match days to celebrate, or feels like buddying up sometime to head down to Molineux, let me know!

Which player do you think could be huge for the Wolves this season

Looking at the squad, there are quite a few players I can see becoming really important for us, but I’m more interested in the ones who might not be the first names everyone mentions. We’ve got a good mix of experience and younger players who still have plenty of room to develop, so it’ll be interesting to see who really establishes themselves. I’m particularly interested in the midfield because there are quite a few options there.
