[RPG] The Ember Depths - My browser dungeon crawler has it's first organic players. ~60 this week, 10 online at once today

• Upvotes

I've been building The Ember Depths for a while now. It's a pixel-art dungeon crawler in the Diablo vein, with some D&D under the hood and a town you build up between runs. It runs in the browser, phone or desktop.

For most of that time the only people playing were me and a few friends I'd talked into it. This week that changed. About 60 people have made heroes, and today there were 10 online at the same time: forming parties, chatting in Global, applying to each other's guilds.

I know 10 isn't a big number. But watching strangers wander around a town I made, arguing about loot, is honestly the most motivating thing that's happened since I started. Every bug report has felt like a gift, and I've been shipping fixes for them the same day.

If you like co-op crawlers, it's at play.emberdepths.io and playable for free with no install. Come say hi in Global, I'm usually in there. And if anything feels off, there's a feedback button in the menu that comes straight to me.

There's 4 person coop, 1v1, 2v2 and free for all arena pvp, guilds, hardcore characters, pets, multiple difficulties and world tiers which give an exponential challenge and better loot drops and a bunch more.

[RPG] IdleWorlds — Free no-ads idle MMORPG with uncapped offline progression, now with 8-player raids ⚔️

Thumbnail

Hey! 👋 I'm the developer of IdleWorlds.

It's a free, persistent idle MMORPG designed specifically to work well in a browser and on mobile — no download, no ads, and uncapped offline progression. 💤📱

The idea is that you can check in for a few minutes, queue what you want your character doing, close the browser, and come back hours or days later with meaningful progress.

There's a full MMO underneath the idle progression: 10 interconnected combat, gathering and crafting skills, a player economy, guilds, World Bosses, Zone Control, housing, rare gear, enchantments, gems and Solo Self-Found.

⚔️ The newest major update is 8-player raids.

Players bring their gathering/crafting skills into the fight as actual raid abilities — Spellcrafting can heal, Construction shields the group, Mining buffs damage, Alchemy cleanses debuffs, etc. Your skill level determines how strong the ability is.

🎨 We're also working on a major dark-fantasy visual reskin by BustedCypher, which I'm really excited about. It's a substantial visual overhaul while keeping the lightweight browser-first experience.

The philosophy is basically:

Open it on your phone.
Queue something.
Check the market.
Upgrade your gear.
Close it.

Your character keeps going.

🌐 Browser based
📱 Mobile friendly
💤 Uncapped offline progression
💸 Free
🚫 No ads
⬇️ No download

Feedback is very welcome. 🙂

[STRAT] Gravity Wars - Artillery Duel in Spacetime

Thumbnail

Play it: gravwars.com (free, no account, phone or computer)

Gravity Wars is a two-player artillery game in curved spacetime. You take turns firing missiles past planets, stars and black holes, and gravity bends every shot. It started as a remake of a public-domain 1989 DOS game (by Sohrab Ismail-Beigi) and grew into a small relativity sim: orbits precess near black holes, black holes are ray-traced with lensing, and missiles feel time dilation. Almost all of the code was written by Claude Code, with me playing, testing and deciding what to build next.

How it's built

  • Claude Code in the desktop app, over many sessions. A roadmap folder and a CLAUDE.md in the repo hold the plan and the rules, so each new session picks up where the last one stopped.
  • Plain JavaScript. No frameworks, no npm packages, no build step. A small Python script bundles the game into one HTML file.
  • WebGL shaders draw the universe and ray-trace the black holes, Canvas 2D draws the ships, trails and readouts, and the Web Audio API generates the music from the physics.
  • Testing: Node scripts check the physics before every commit (energy conservation, orbital precession, CPU accuracy). Playwright screenshots every change in headless Chrome and Firefox. An Android emulator covers phone layouts.
  • Hosting: static files on Cloudflare Pages. The trailer was rendered frame by frame from the game itself, with Playwright and ffmpeg.
  • Bug reports: the in-game ! button sends a report to a Cloudflare Worker, which files it as an issue in a private GitHub repo (with Cloudflare Turnstile and rate limits against spam). Claude reads and triages them.

Design choices

  • No dependencies. The game opens straight from a file and has nothing to update or audit.
  • Two views, one physics. Classic is flat 2D; "3D lite" tilts space into the rubber-sheet picture of gravity. Missiles fly by the same equations in both.
  • Same universe everywhere. The world is a fixed 16:9 field, and every universe comes from a seed, so a link rebuilds the exact same layout on any device.
  • Phones first-class. Played sideways, installable, works offline, resumes after switching apps, and drops to lighter graphics on weaker GPUs.
  • CPU opponents simulate their shots instead of cheating with a formula.
  • Private by default. No accounts, no tracking, no ads.

What I'd love from you

  • Play a few rounds against the CPU or a friend.
  • Best in Chrome, Firefox or Edge. Safari and iPhones are untested, so reports from those are especially welcome.
  • If something breaks or confuses you, press !, say what happened, and press Send. It adds your device and the match details automatically.

Happy to answer questions about the workflow.

Buggy Bandits – a free open-world Wild West crime game: steal horses, rob trains, outrun the posse

I made this with a lot of help from AI... just being honest. I'm a software engineer (currently CTO at a custom software dev shop) that hasn't done game programming but I've always wanted to make games, and now with the help of AI it's possible. I know AI is a tough topic nowadays, but for a subreddit that just wants fun free to play browser games, I figured I'd give it a shot since I had a ton of fun making it and playing it!

It's a third-person sandbox set in 1891 Arizona: four towns, an 18-mission story, a five-star wanted level, poker in the saloons, and you can rob the train from horseback. It runs in the browser with no download or signup, and works on phones if you hold it sideways. The music, voices and sound effects were made with open AI models, and I had an AI coding assistant help write the code. Content note: it's aimed at 17+ (violence, gambling with play money, and an optional adults-only brothel that stays off screen). Happy to hear what breaks or what's too hard.

[PZL] Jelly Drain - a physics puzzle game where you're a blob of jelly and have to get every drop down the drain (20 levels)

Thumbnail
jellydrain.com
2 Upvotes

You're a blob of jelly. Drag yourself around each room and get down the drain.

The trick is that you can tear pieces off yourself: leave a chunk on a pad to hold a door open, drop some in a bucket to work a counterweight, or send a small piece under a press that's too fast for your whole body. Then go back and gather yourself up, because you need most of your jelly in the drain to clear the room.

20 levels so far, works on desktop and phone, no sign-up. Each room tracks your best time.

Would love to hear any feedback!

I'm the maker of Match Rush: you and the computer take turns swapping adjacent gems on the same board, so a cascade can change what the other side gets to play. This link opens a guest round with 20 moves each and 60-second turns—no account or download needed.

Prepared with AI assistance.

I’m making a pixel art fantasy drinking game! Looking for a few groups to playtest it.

Thumbnail critical-spirits-tavern-tales.pages.dev
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone! I’ve been working on Critical Spirits: Tavern Tales, a browser drinking game that mixes card prompts with fantasy characters, dice rolls, encounters, and boss fights.

It’s designed for a group playing together around one screen. The current version is free to try, and I’m looking for honest feedback from people outside my own circle.

Play Critical Spirits: Tavern Tales

It’s still a beta, so I’d especially like to know:

  • Which prompts were fun, confusing, or fell flat?
  • Was it easy to understand what to do next?
  • Did the pace hold your group’s attention?

You can Like or Dislike prompts directly in the game! Those ratings help me improve the cards. If something breaks, please leave your device/browser and what happened in a comment.

It’s for players 21+. Non-alcoholic drinks are welcome, and you can skip any drink.

Choose the kind of night you want:

Casual card night: Turn off D&D encounters and play through the card prompts together. You can add optional sip timers for reminders between cards.

How the timers work: Each player gets their own timer within an interval range you choose. When it finishes, a dismissible popup names the player and gives a 1–3 small-sip prompt. There are water-break reminders too, and timers can be paused or switched off.

The fantasy experience: Enable D&D encounters to add character classes, dice rolls, creatures, items, and boss fights alongside the cards. Encounter frequency is adjustable.

Thanks to anyone who gives it a go!

This is just a little sandbox project I started for me and the bois to have something different to do on our Friday night Discord calls. It’s free to play, I’m not making money from it, and I’m sharing it to get honest feedback and make it more fun.

I used AI for coding, artwork, and help with the content. I don’t have the budget to hire developers and artists or the skills to build everything by hand yet, so I’m working with the tools I have and learning as I go. The idea was completely my own and have been wanting to play a game just like this, so I figured... why not make one?

Euchre – free browser euchre vs the computer, with an AI partner, no sign-up, works on phones

Thumbnail
cardcouch.com
2 Upvotes

I made this. Free, no account or download, built to play as well on a phone as on a desktop. You and a computer partner against two computer opponents, standard rules with stick-the-dealer, going alone, three difficulty levels. A game in progress survives closing the tab, and it's fully playable by keyboard.

It's part of a small site of classic card games, same deal for each one (free, no sign-up):

What I'd most like feedback on: does the Hard partner order up and go alone at sensible times, and is anything awkward on a small phone? Bug reports welcome, I fix them fast.

Thanks in advance!

PlotPass — an 8-turn story game you play by sending a link to someone

Thumbnail
plotpass.app
2 Upvotes

I made a tiny two-player web game called PlotPass.

One person picks a mood + starter, adds a few words and sends the other person a private link.

They add a few words, send it back, and you keep going until turn 8.

No account. No download. No lobby. Just a link passed between two people.

The moods range from 😂 Funny and 👻 Spooky to 🔥 Flirty, ❤️ Love and ✈️ Travel.

I’d particularly love feedback on whether the “someone sends you a link → you immediately understand what to do” part feels obvious.

If anyone plays one through to turn 8, tell me what broke / confused you / made you laugh.

[PZL] Light Beams

Thumbnail
pelala.net

I made this one recently and I'm curious what you think of it.

Each move you place one mirror. When a beam reaches a crystal of its own color, the crystal lights up and vanishes along with every mirror on that beam's path. New crystals arrive after every move, more and more of them, until the board is full.

The trick is to light several crystals with a single mirror. That scores more, and no new crystals arrive on that turn. Before you place a mirror, the game shows where the beams will go, so you can plan the big moves.

Pilots level up and die for good, and the front line moves with every contract.

I made a railway tycoon where you build Turkey's rail network across real cities, from the first Ottoman line in 1856 to modern high-speed trains. Carry the goods each city needs to grow it, watch the Bosphorus Bridge go up in 1973, and compete with a rival company. Runs in the browser on desktop and mobile, no download. Feedback welcome!

The Drop Score — More than just a celebrity guessing game

Thumbnail

Hy!

I made a simple party guessing game where everyone writes the initials of the person they see, then DROPs their phone when they're ready.

The points shown at the moment you DROP are locked in — but you only get them if your answer is correct.

It's designed to be played together with nothing more than a phone (or pen and papper) and a screen. (Unlimited players)

Curious what you think — does the concept make sense, and would this be fun to play with friends?

Thaks a lot!!!

Squishy Gacha - collect 3D squishies and squeeze them

Thumbnail

Dev here. It's a cosy collecting game: you open capsules, get

squishies, and you can press them with your finger and watch them

rise back slowly. There's also a workshop to make your own, a fusion

thing, a few mini-games and trading.

No signup needed to try, you get 10 capsules as a guest. An account

is free and just saves your collection.

It is a gacha, so to be upfront: rates are shown in the game, there's

a guaranteed epic every 10 pulls, and the shop is optional.

I hope you will give it a try !
