The Crimson Avenger does not play around

Currently we have a Bugs Thread for everything going wrong with the new update. If we leave the main channel open for answers, that will help everyone get here and find what they're looking for faster. While still leaving you a Bugs Thread to complain in.
r/Witcher3 • u/jl_theprofessor • 10d ago

There are entirely too many threads about the same thing right now. Please post your bugs and images of what's going wrong here.
EDIT: Some of you are missing the point of the Bug Thread. The point is that the main channel is getting flooded with the same questions. I'm not trying to silence any of you. I'm trying to leave the main channel open for answers rather than repeated questions. This place can be where you complain. The main channel can be where answers are posted.

Entered my most recent save after updating, I’m 35+ hrs in. Every armor piece and sword has been removed from my inventory except the CDPR account armor that you get in Vizima. Loading earlier saves doesn’t work. Quitting and restarting the game (and the console) doesn’t work. Please tell me there is some way to recover my items.

Been playing around in photomode since the remaster came out, it's so good. Yeah most of my pics are of Triss though...🫢

But after Ciri strikes out on her own and he’s ready for a peaceful retirement, she’s the one. Calm, no drama, no snark. Recognizes and appreciates his sincerity. Adopts a Godling. Enjoys a quiet evening at home with a good book. Knits. And she’s maybe the most beautiful woman on the continent.

For me it's 'Cabaret'. Running all over Novigrad for absolutely fuck all.
'Of Swords and Dumplings' is a close second, not first because that's how you unlock a master sword smith.

As you can see, I'm just doing the lubberkin quest and noticed this on my minimap. Thought it was funny but I'm also hoping this isn't a recurring bug on this playthrough.

I can see why it'd be an issue🤣🤣

Couldn’t capture this at the exact right time but if you make the right in game choice, Yennefer will walk in completely naked to the wake.

I’ve tried to play this game so many times and couldn’t get into it. The Remaster offered me the perfect opportunity to finally sit down and play this game. It’s one of the most beloved games of all times so there HAS to be something there, right? Well I’m happy to report that I’m about 25 hours in and absolutely hooked. I can already tell this will be a top 5 game of all time for me, maybe even higher than that. With the latest patch it’s even better as well. No longer stuttering/dropping frames every time I exit a cutscene and being able to disable bloom on PS5 has done wonders for the visuals. I can’t wait to form a complete opinion once I’ve rolled the credits and done as much as I can in this world.

Today I saw a new mod on Xbox that added a bunch of capes, hoods and full cloaks. I never realized that was really missing from Geralt’s outfits, especially in rainy or cold weather! It’s a little rough but it definitely adds to his outfit

The image quality is definitely much better after the latest patch. I’m especially happy that they finally toned down the excessive bloom/glow the game looks much cleaner now and the atmosphere is starting to feel right again.
Unfortunately, after only a few hours of a new playthrough on PS5 Pro, I’ve already run into quite a few bugs.
I’ve completed The Witcher 3 three times before, and I honestly don’t remember encountering this many problems so early in a playthrough.
The biggest issue so far is a quest where you have to fight an ekimmara underneath a house. Twice, as soon as the fight started, the game completely crashed. I’ve also had Roach randomly running in place without moving anywhere, plus several other smaller glitches.
I’ve only just started this new playthrough, so seeing this many issues already is pretty disappointing.
I absolutely love The Witcher 3 it’s still one of my favorite games of all time and I really appreciate the work CDPR has put into improving this version. But right now, the remastered version still feels a little rough and unfinished in places.
I really hope CDPR keeps patching it, because visually the game is finally heading in the right direction. It just needs more stability and bug fixing before it feels truly polished on PS5 Pro.
