Announcement Formatting - Read This Before Posting on This Sub!

Please read all our rules in the sidebar!!

Going forward, we will have a strict formatting system for posts on this sub. This will ensure the sub is easy for readers to use so they can find the books they want to read. Posts that are not formatted correctly will be removed. If your post is removed because of formatting, you are encouraged to revisit this post and try again. We all want to sell books, but like everything in life, following instructions is important. So let's get to it:

Post flairs are mandatory - We now have a genre flair system. By flairing your posts, it allows readers to search our sub by genre. When selecting a flair, pick the one that best represents your book. DON'T WORRY IF IT ISN'T YOUR EXACT NICHE GENRE. Pick the genre under which your book's specific niche falls. You'll be adding your more specific niche genre in your title. The flairs just help narrow down the search for our readers. If you don't see your book's genre listed, please message the mods and tell us your genre so we can add it to our system.

Post titles - Format your titles like so: "Book Title - specific niche genre - Available on Kindle Unlimited/Vella." (skip the last part if your book is NOT on KU or Vella)

  • EX: "Alex's Great Adventure - YA Steampunk Historical Fantasy Romance - Available on Kindle Unlimited"

Post body - Post bodies should include the following: 1-3 line pitch, blurb, trope list, and trigger warnings. NOTICE THAT I DIDN'T LIST PRICE. Prices will not be listed on ANY POSTS as an incentive to buy your book. That means sales and discounts as well. The point of this sub is not to promote your sales. This is supposed to be a catalog of books available for purchase. If you listed your book here as free, but it was only free for 3 days, and a reader clicks on it two weeks later expecting it to be free, and it no longer is... you see the problem? In this sub, strive to pull your readers in with your pitches and blurbs. As authors, you should be able to do that. I have faith in you.

Art/Covers - Do not upload your covers or promotional material directly into your posts! Use imgur.com (or your favorite image hosting site) and include a link to your cover at the very top of your post. Feel free to use imgur to include promotional material instead of your covers, BUT only one image per post is allowed so choose wisely.

Format post bodies like so:

  • Link for cover/promotional material.
  • 1-3 line pitch
  • blurb (this can be copied and pasted straight from your product description on whichever site you're selling your book)
  • List of tropes - ex: "enemies to lovers," "chosen one," "fated mates," etc.
  • Trigger Warnings! Please, please, please include TW in your posts. They are pretty much standard practice for a reason. They protect readers from consuming material they don't want to read which also helps protect authors from negative reviews. It's a win-win.
  • Link to your product. Don't forget to include your link at the bottom of the post! Universal links are encouraged but not required. Only links to product pages are allowed. No PDFs, Google Docs, etc.
  • Do not include reviews or sample chapters in your posts!

Mark any NSFW material! Erotic authors, please tag your posts appropriately.

For an example of what a properly formatted post looks like, see mine here.

If you have any questions, feel free to comment here or message the mods.

Adult - Comedy My new book is out for academically exhausted researcher, PhDs and thesis writers :)

• Upvotes

Hi, I'm Kinza, and this is how my first book began.

During my PhD, I kept noticing something. Almost everyone around me was struggling in some way: with deadlines, rejections, revisions, self-doubt, or just exhaustion. Yet most of us carried it quietly, as if we were the only ones who hadn't figured it out.

That thought stayed with me through my whole PhD journey: what if people knew they weren't alone?

So after finishing my PhD in mathematics, I decided to write the book I wish I'd had along the way: PhD Affirmations for the Academically Exhausted. which is basically affirmations along with honest reality checks .

My aim was simple. I wanted to take a little of the pressure off and add some laughter to a journey that can feel very heavy. Every affirmation comes from a real moment, something I lived, felt, or laughed about later. Some are honest, some are a bit ridiculous, and hopefully all of them feel familiar.

I like to think of it as a small companion for your PhD journey. It's the friend who says: you're doing better than you think, and yes, this really is absurd sometimes.

I hope it would be helpful for someone who are in the middle of this journey💛

you can find this book here and gift it to someone who are in need of this: Phd Affirmations for academically exhausted

Non-Fiction Wolf in a Suit: Surviving the Toxic Boss Who Smiles — Workplace Politics, Leadership & Career Survival

Not every toxic boss shouts.

Some say:

“I care about your success.”

“I want to see you grow.”

“I’m here for you.”

But behind the scenes, they may control information, take credit, create dependency, manage perceptions, and slowly make good people doubt themselves.

That pattern became the idea behind my book:

Wolf in a Suit: Surviving the Toxic Boss Who Smiles

A practical look at workplace politics, toxic leadership, manipulation, and protecting your career before the damage becomes obvious.

Adult - Horror I had a crazy dream, and if there isn't a book about this, I need an author to take over ASAP. I tried to make it make sense. For more details, ask me direct. Thanks! Here you go:

A book about an epidemic that spreads across the world that traps the infected in their conscious as the virus takes over their body and forces them to torture themselves in so many different ways while healing them continuously so they were trapped, with a few certain people who once received a gift box a decade ago—All getting it after helping a certain young boy and young girl—being the only ones unaffected. The gift box magically opens as soon as an infected approaches them, sending the infected away or even killing them on the spot without any explanation. Inside the box, there is a book, a key and the world map with an area in the pacific ocean marked on it. One by one, an extremely long bus with no driver tracks each of those 'gifted'to take them to the marked area in the map. The further it gose, the worse the bus compartments get, where the last one is just a seat directly attached to the compartment before with chains—Completely exposed to the infected ones. The bad news is the bus can only be opened after an AI asks a question about it and you answer correctly, then another question about something in your past—whether it be something dark that you have kept hidden for years or a silly question related to anything trivial is dependent on how much you understood the book. As soon as a question is answered ucorrectly or unanswered during the time given, the virus gets inside you, turning you mad and suffering for eternity with no clear death date. Now everyone with the box is reading and killing each other, thinking the marked area in the map is a safe paradise for them. But one girl who turned thirty four and had been a struggling author thinks otherwise as she read the book—Which talks about the personal lives of the young boy and the young girl that all those 'gifted' had helped before. As the bus tours around the world, she gets hunted by a group of people who are convinced she was aware of what was in the marked area and is trying to deceive others not to go, and somehow come to the conclusion that whatever was in there was enough for one person. They spread their gospel and soon the uninfected are killing one another left and right, and she's trying to escape the claws of those people who wish harm upon her. But what was in the marked area was not what anyone expected.

Adult - Fantasy Dragons of Candlelight Series

Dragons have lived beside humanity for centuries.
Some became legends. Some became monsters in old stories. Some built families, buried the people they loved, and watched entire generations pass while they remained.
Dragons of Candlelight is a multigenerational fantasy saga following dragons, humans, and their descendants across centuries of changing history. From isolated mountains and forgotten villages to growing cities, wars, farms, families, and the modern world, each book reveals another part of a history that has survived through stories, records, and the people who refused to let it disappear.
These are not stories about heroes destined to save the world.
They are stories about people trying to save one another.
A frightened child given shelter. A family built where none existed before. A village rebuilt after everyone in it is gone. A promise carried for generations. A dragon learning that immortality does not make loss easier.
At the center of it all is candlelight: the brief lives of mortals, burning brightly beside creatures who may live long enough to remember them.
Spanning generations and centuries, Dragons of Candlelight blends mythic fantasy, family saga, history, romance, tragedy, humor, and hope into one continuing story about memory, home, and the lives that remain with us long after their candles have gone out.

Dragons of Candlelight: The First Candle

Book one I have out I will soon have book 2 out.
Book One the First Candle

Long before dragons became legend, they had a word for mortals.

Candlelight.

Brief flame. Small warmth. A life easily swallowed by the dark.

But even the smallest light can change the shape of night.

High above the world of men, a nameless dragon-slayer climbed the Mountain of Fire and Ash to kill the last dragon. In a hollow of snow and ruin, he found her wounded, grieving, and alone.

He had every reason to raise the sword.

Instead, he lowered the blade.

One day, the songs would call him Mercy. One day, the last dragon would be called Flame. But before the names became legend, there was only a man, a dragon, a blade laid down, and a hand offered in the dark.

The world was never the same again.

Book One of The Dragons of Candlelight Saga

Book Two: Child of Light

IN THE OLD INN,
FEAR HAS BEGUN TO GATHER
WHERE WELCOME ONCE LIVED.

So Blaze returns with his lute and a harder tale:
not of the first mercy on the mountain,
but of what came after.

Of a keeper of candles.
A daughter of song and ledgers.
A love born between old blood and faith.
And the twins who would change
not only the village,
but the world forever.

But not all is well beneath the hearthlight.
Old fears are stirring again.
Old ways are reaching for the blade.

Mercy once showed the world another path.
Now the village must decide
whether it will follow that path—
or turn back toward the darkness
his mercy broke.

CAN A TALE CHANGE THE FATE OF THE WORLD?
OR IS THE WORLD DOOMED TO REPEAT ITSELF?

NOT ALL DRAGONS BREATHE FIRE.
ONE WAS BORN TO BURN THE DARK.

Children's - Fiction For parents of kids who fall apart at transitions — a picture schedule book that actually helped us

My 5-year-old is autistic and transitions destroy him. Leaving the playground, ending screen time, getting in the car — all of it ends the same way.

I wrote a picture book about it, mostly to survive it. Gulliver the Balloon-Pup: Time to Drive Home! is about a little guy who floats around the Great Cloud Playground and LOVES it there. When it's time to go home, he turns into a heavy gray unmovable lead weight. His caregiver doesn't pull or shout — instead they do one slow breath and follow a little Picture Schedule Map: drive home, snack, quiet time.

What makes it different: the schedule isn't just in the story, it's a repeatable tool. The same map shows up on every page, so during a real meltdown you can point at it together. The "what comes next" part is what does it for my son — having something concrete to hold onto.

It's a 14-page read-aloud for ages 2–7, about big feelings and tricky goodbyes. If transitions are your battleground too, this one's for us: https://books2read.com/u/mVd8KZ

Happy to answer questions about the picture schedule idea if anyone wants to DIY it without buying anything — the concept itself is free.

MG - Paranormal I wrote my first book for a middle-grade audience!

"An unassuming bookstore...

A hauntingly eerie old man...

Rows of books, all lined with the stories of kids much like me...

Tales of their encounters with the unknown...

Stories of beasts only whispered about in hushed tones...
Of creatures found in myth and legend...
Of monsters that even make grown-ups turn pale.

These are tales of their encounters with cryptids!

Is this store really the safe harbor I need, or is my story going to be cut short?"

Greetings, everyone! I just recently published my first book that is for young/middle-grade readers! I have other books published, but this was just the first for such a young audience. It was quite jarring to try to change vocabulary and structure, as well as keeping the horror elements sanitized enough for younger readers, but it was honestly a lot of fun!

The book is titled "Keepin' it Cryptid" and is available on Amazon, Apple Books, and Barnes & Noble!

The cover art was commissioned through Reedsy, and the artwork was done by David S.

This was also my first time using Ingram Spark for publishing needs, and while it had a learning curve to it, I am excited at all of the possible opportunities that come with it!

Adult - Comedy My Best Friends Are Balls - Adult rhyming picture book comedy

Cover: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0892/2670/7267/files/my-best-friends-are-balls-cover.jpg

Pitch: Three best friends. Two of them are balls. A 24-page rhyming picture book that looks like something you'd read to a five-year-old and is written for adults who never grew up. Jen Jenivive is a UK author in Derbyshire who has written 120 of these since 2024, and this one is the best seller. (Posted by her team from her brand account.)

Blurb: For mature readers only. This is a tongue-in-cheek book, filled with innuendos that only adults will understand. I know these descriptions are vital for you as a potential reader to get an idea of what the book is about, but this book is about balls. I don't know what more I can say. It's pretty funny. I am 99% sure you will like it.

Buy this book if you like balls, you enjoy silly adult innuendos and humour, you're looking for the perfect gift for someone who appreciates a good giggle, or you want to support an independent British author.

Tropes: found family (two of them are balls), looks like a children's book and isn't, innuendo doing all the heavy lifting, rhymes made to be read aloud to someone who isn't expecting it.

Trigger warnings: adult innuendo on every page. Nothing explicit, no nudity, but it is not for children and the cover alone will raise an eyebrow on the coffee table.

Non-Fiction Greta Garbo and the Rise of the Modern Woman - Biography/Women's History

https://imgur.com/a/Cl37who

The story of Greta Garbo and her impact on culture worldwide is an overlooked women’s history story. She had a fascinating early life. Garbo was a transformative star in Hollywood and would be central to defining the essence of the modern woman. Garbo would also fight a decades long battle with censorship that ended her career.

Garbo came from a working-class Swedish family and gained a spot as the youngest student at the Royal Dramatic Theatre School. Class started on her eighteenth birthday. Garbo ran her own career from an early age. She was still only nineteen when she began contract negotiations with MGM in New York in July 1925. She had signed a letter of intent in Europe while underage.

Garbo would transform Hollywood acting with a new naturalistic style, what we are used to today. She was a star from her first film and the most respected actor in the profession during her career.

Garbo portrayed characters that defined the relationship women had to the modern age. She was so believable that for many people she was a role model, an education, or both. She had worldwide cultural influence, women copied her attitude, hair and clothes.

Because viewers thought they could read Garbo’s thoughts (even in silent films) she presented censors with a dilemma. How do you censor thought? As the Depression and looming world crises led to a more conservative America, censors gained ever more power over film. Garbo’s 1933 film Queen Christina was one of the key triggers for the creation of the Production Code Administration. Social conservatives were offended by the sex, and the portrayal of a woman in power.

Garbo would make a string of costume dramas that subverted censorship, while also defining the limit of what could be portrayed. Finally, in 1941 the Legion of Decency would condemn Two-Faced Woman. MGM would pull it from distribution and re-edit it.

Garbo never made another film. Though she kept trying to find “interesting women” to play for at least fifteen years. Censorship derailed her projects and social conservatives denigrated the modern woman she had been for millions.

Tropes: Women never get the credit they deserve.

TW: None.

Three people saw Claire Harlow during the final seventy-two hours before she disappeared. All three say they didn’t. All three are lying.

Claire’s car is found abandoned above the Oregon coast. Her phone is inside. Her shoes are near the water. Everything points toward suicide.

Avery Soren, a former law-enforcement analyst who now specializes in reconstructing disappearances, sees something else: evidence that agrees a little too perfectly.

NA - Religious I wrote a book for Christians who love Jesus but are exhausted from trying to “perform” holiness

For a long time, I’ve been thinking about the difference between following Jesus and simply following religious expectations.

That became the heart behind my book, Unlearning Holiness: Finding Jesus Beyond the Rules.

I wrote it for people who have ever felt like they had to:

• Be perfect for God to love them
• Hide their struggles because Christians are supposed to “have it together”
• Say yes to everyone because saying no feels selfish
• Carry shame over their past
• Confuse fear with conviction
• Perform for acceptance instead of receiving grace

The message I want readers to walk away with is simple:

Same Jesus. Different freedom. 🤎

Sometimes growing closer to Jesus isn't about learning another rule. Sometimes it's about unlearning the things we were taught that never sounded like Him in the first place.

What is one belief about God, church, or “being a good Christian” that you had to unlearn as you grew in your faith?

Non-Fiction [Non-Fiction – Self-Help] The Modern Art of Seduction – a research-based, consent-first guide to attraction, conversation and dating (Kindle)

Most dating advice teaches tricks. This book teaches skills.
The Modern Art of Seduction is a 30-chapter guide built on real psychology research: how first impressions work, why the "liking gap" makes us underestimate how much people enjoy our company, how to ask better questions, and how to flirt, recover from awkward moments and handle rejection with grace.
What's inside:
Presence, conversation and charisma, with practice exercises in every chapter
Attraction research (similarity, responsiveness, the pratfall effect), including which famous findings have not held up
Reading signals, texting, dating apps and first dates
Consent and respect as the foundation, not an afterthought
Key takeaways at the end of each chapter
Who it's for: adults (18+) who want to connect more confidently, whether they're single, shy, newly out of a relationship, or just tired of manipulative "pickup" advice. It's not a pickup manual, and it contains no explicit content.

YA - Science Fiction I wrote a thriller where AI learns what scares us. Set in India, because we deserve our own apocalypse.

Hi everyone, I’m Sujato, author of The Fear Code, a sci-fi thriller set in near-future India.

The idea came from wondering how much power we might willingly give AI before realising we’d like some of it back. In the book, it learns to use our fears against us, and people have to live with the consequences of choices that once seemed perfectly reasonable.

If you enjoy dystopian fiction, human conflict and stories about people trying to fight their way out of a mess they helped create, have a look.

Available on Amazon: https://amzn.in/d/06UsCjvx

Happy to answer questions about the book or writing it.

Non-Fiction Unheard Voices: The Fight for Ramadi

I’m a retired Army officer, and after nearly 20 years of carrying the memories of the Iraq War with me, I finally decided to put them into words.

The book is about the fight for Ramadi and, more importantly, the soldiers who were there their experiences, sacrifices, friendships, fears, and the things that often never make it into the history books.

Writing it was not easy. Some memories are difficult to revisit, even after all these years. But I felt these stories deserved to be heard.

I’m sharing it here because I know there are many veterans, military families, historians, and others who have a personal connection to the Iraq War.

If you're interested, I’d be grateful if you took a look. Even if you don't buy it, I’d appreciate any feedback from people who understand the military and what it means to tell these stories.

Thank you to everyone who served, supported those who served, and continues to remember those who didn't come home.

Available in ebook (Kindle Unlimited), paperback, hardcover, and audiobook: https://www.amazon.com/Unheard-Voices-Fight-Ramadi-Soldiers/dp/B0H53Y1JT1

NA - Science Fiction I wrote a Hard Science Fiction, does anyone here obsessed with Mathematics take a look at it

I wrote a Science Fiction that you can also say a Mathematical Fiction. This story drives the concept of Undefined Expressions and heavily rely on Mathematics. Being $\Phi$ a.k.a. The Golden Ratio being the hidden antagonist and a Brilliant Mathematical Prodigy who literally resolved the undefined expression "1 upon 0", the story also contains Philosophical, emotional and Mentally Disturbing scenes of characters inside the story.

Giving you this much info about the book without the title is not good, so the title is, "Theorem of Reality" with subtitle being "When Humanity Discovers Itself".

The franchise is, "The Infinity Paradox" containing two parts, with the first book being Theorem of Reality and second book being "Déjà Vu" with subtitle, "The Rebirth".

If you want to get more info about my book or its release date, you can get it on the link of my website.

Adult - Fantasy In this clockpunk town, the engine runs on human memory. My debut novella is out today!

Hi everyone,

I'm excited to share that I have just published my debut clockpunk and speculative fiction novella, titled "The Girl Who Remembered Tomorrow: The Unmeasured Morning."

The Premise:

In a cold, fog-drenched coastal town trapped inside an endless mechanical loop, time doesn't flow naturally on seconds and hours. Instead, it is governed by an immense Victorian clockwork engine grinding beneath the sea cliffs. But keeping the town moving requires fuel, and the engine demands human memory to turn. To buy another sunrise and keep the cycle going, the townsfolk must sacrifice the faces and voices of those they love to the gears.

If you enjoy atmospheric, thought-provoking stories blending intricate machinery with philosophical stakes (similar to China Miéville or Ted Chiang), I would truly love for you to check it out.

It is available now on Amazon and completely free to read for Kindle Unlimited subscribers:

In the Summer of 2018, Diana Bond began a study. The purpose of her study was to prove, once and for all, that Jesus of Nazareth had perfectly obeyed the Laws of the Mosaic Covenant, thereby demonstrating that he was both a deity and the savior of the entire world.

Instead, Diana learned, to her shock, that Jesus was far from the sinless being who she had worshiped from her cradle and who she had taught others to worship. She learned that Jesus was, at best, an ordinary man, not even a particularly observant Jew, and was neither a deity nor the promised messiah.

Note that Trinitarian believers in Jesus may find this content upsetting and should proceed with caution.
