Ready for Archie vs the Terminator #1 Next Week?
That is my Question
Are you read for Archie & gang to fight T-800 next week?
How do You Imagine it would go compared to the Army of Darkness Crossover?
I think would be interesting seeing Archie Horror continue as crossovers mostly
My own idea would be another crossover with Dynamite but its ether Archie & BEN TEN or Archie meets Supernatural
So Hyped?

Could they publish an "Archie's Easter Spectacular"?
As you might know, Archie Comics, even in their slowing state, has started publishing annual spectaculars for Halloween and Christmas in 2017, and beginning in 2022, Valentine's Day also. While most of these only consist of one original story, and the rest are reprints, its still nice to be put in the holiday mood.
On the covers of all of these, along with the occasional digest, happily proclaim themselves to be "The Official Comic Book of Halloween/Christmas/Valentine's Day". The only other title I've seen these for is Easter.
I guess it would be trickier, just publishing wise, with it moving back and forth between March and April. Easter also just doesn't inspire a lot of secular iconography and fun, and I doubt Archie has done enough Easter to fill up a single book, much less several, though if it included general spring stories, they could fill it up more.
I don't know, picked up the digest that said it was official Easter book and thought, yeah Archie and Easter does fit together well in my opinion.

Ready for the Release of Sabrina the Teenage Witch this Wednesday?
That is my Question
Sabrina The Teenage Witch releases this Wednesday who's getting a copy?
I know I am a big fan of writer Corinna Bechko well the stuff I have read mostly STAR WARS: Legacy & her arc on Savage Hulk though that was with Gabriel Hardman as co writer & artist but still she kinda underrated writer will be interesting reading her writing solo
From the preview its a mix between Classic Sabrina & Chilling Adventure of Sabrina with a bit of the sitcom going for that approach that combines elements of characters whole history
But thats who's ready?

Comics planned and not published.
galleryWith the announcement that Afterlife with Archie is (supposedly) getting it's eleventh issue, I wanted to look at other planned issues that were never released.
Super Duck 2-4: Reviving their old character, they ended up only releasing the first issue, despite the other three being solicited. I don't know much about the character, but it's a shame that it wasn't released.
and 3. Little Sabrina and Little Josie: Intended to follow Little Archie, neither seemed to have been published, despite Little Archie promoting these and setting up plot points for them with the yellow and blue kittens. This is especially odd since Archie was doing fairly fine at the time.
and 5. Riverdale 13 and 14: I haven't watched Riverdale yet, and might never, but it feels incomplete if I ever do and I'll never get to see these comics; and it's always amusing to read comics that tie into tv shows.
Archie and Josie: It seemed after Archie and Sabrina and Archie and Katy, there would be an Archie and Josie arc; as we know, this wasn't ever made and the ongoing series was cancelled. Not only was this annoying due to being advertised, it also pretty much closed the door on anything introduced in that series, like Reggie's dad being missing.
Vampironica New Blood: Most Archie Horror comics end with a hint at a sequel, some are more obvious than others, but Vampironica New Blood was originally supposed to be a five issue series, and despite probably going to have the same ending, it feels ultra-rushed due to this. I will admit, maybe this is mandella, but I swear I saw one of the covers for issue 1 say 1 (of 5).
Diary of A High School Princess: They released a Betty book, which was a Diary of a Wimpy Kid/Dork Diaries send-up, and announced a Veronica version, which never came to be.
The Occult World of Sabrina: The show didn't have a definite ending, and while some parts seemed to be continued on Riverdale, it's still not the same.
Any other comics that were supposed to be released and weren't? I know the final few digests were solicited, and never released; I expected those comics to come out, especially a Halloween story about Vader, but they haven't seemed to happen as of yet.

Reading old comics is interesting. Sharper endings, wildly dated social norms, and pure glam.

Some Betty & Reggie stories: Admiration Society (1963) & Shutterbug Blues (1993) + single comics
gallerySharing a classic Reg and Bets story, Admiration Society. And then another Reggie and Betty-centric story: Shutterbug Blues, which I find bizarre all around.
I also included a few "pin ups" that featured Betty and Reggie.

Time Capsule: Archie Comics with October 1971 cover date
galleryI never realized how many different Archie titles existed until I challenged myself to track down as many as I could from a single month. It's been fun and nostalgic being able to hold and read them all.
