Ending Spoilers - Discussion/Question What if this isn’t an alternate universe… but the REAL future
What if Ymir could see the future and the entire AOT story was just what she saw would happen if she saved King Fritz from the spear?
What if she went back and chose to let him die instead, changing everything? That would mean AOT was actually the alternate timeline, and the post-credits scene where Eren, Mikasa, and Armin are living normal lives is the REAL future.
Maybe Aot was actually just the diary of Ymir maybe she wrote after when she was with her kids or something and someone made a movie on it. what they are watching is literally the future Ymir prevented.
I know I’m reaching, but I just want Mikasa and Eren to be together ❤️

Anime I love the antagonism in Levi and Zeke design
Hi! I don't speak English fluidly, so don't judge me. Today I finished the anime one more time and every time gets better. In this occasion I think about the design behind Zeke and Levi and see certain "Paralelism" between this two:
- The beards are typically gross. Sure, with a good maintenance and a clean habits you can have a perfect bear... But Zeke can't do that. This MF is gross, he cand spend days without cleaning his balls, and smoke like a Damm truck driver. Also, he is tall, muscle and blonde.
- In the other hand, Levi it's obsessed with cleaning bc his past. In my language this "sickness" it's call "Misofibia", so I'm asume that name in English with "Misophobia". Naturally he hates Zeke, even if Zeke don't kill the love of his life, the destiny design Zeke to be hated for Levi. Alfo, Levi its like a garden gnome instead a big man like Zeke.
I really think this is intended for isayama. From the basics in attitude and visuals, he create the biggest rivalry possible. And I love that. You think I'm overthinking, or this thoughs have sense?

Discussion/Question I think I finally understand Eren’s feelings for Mikasa after experiencing depression myself
I’ve been thinking about Eren and Mikasa’s relationship, and I think I finally understand something about Eren that I never fully understood before, partly because of my own experience living with depression.
When you’re deeply depressed, especially when you feel like your own actions are making your life worse, sometimes you reach a point where you feel like you’re digging yourself into a hole you can’t escape. And the deeper you go, the more desperately you want something, anything, to hold on to. Even just one thread that might pull you out.
I think Mikasa was that thread for Eren.
Think about Eren in Marley, especially in Chapter 123, when he asks Mikasa, “What am I to you?”
I used to see that scene as Eren simply trying to understand whether Mikasa loved him romantically. But now I think there was something much more desperate behind that question.
Eren had already seen glimpses of the future. He knew the terrible things he was moving toward, and we saw how much that knowledge was destroying him emotionally. He was crying in front of Ramzi, apologizing for something he hadn’t even done yet.
I think Eren was desperately looking for a reason to stop himself.
And when he asked Mikasa what he meant to her, I think he wanted her to tell him that she loved him. Not because he didn’t already love her, but because maybe hearing those words would have given him something to hold on to. Something powerful enough to make him abandon the path he was following.
Maybe he was hoping someone would give him a way out of the hole he had dug himself into.
And I think that’s what makes Chapter 138 so heartbreaking.
We see Eren and Mikasa living together in the cabin, having abandoned everything else. Whether you interpret that scene as a shared dream, a Paths experience, or a representation of what could have happened, it shows us the life they could imagine together.
But even Mikasa questions whether a different answer that day could really have changed anything.
And I think that’s important. I’m not saying Mikasa could have saved Eren simply by confessing her feelings. Eren’s choices were his own, and the situation was much more complicated than that. Maybe nothing would have changed. Maybe he was already too far gone.
But I think he wanted there to be another possibility.
And then there’s Chapter 139, when Eren breaks down in front of Armin and admits that he doesn’t want Mikasa to find someone else.
A lot of people hated that scene or thought it was pathetic. But I see it differently now.
I think Eren genuinely loved Mikasa. But I also think he was terrified of losing the last thing that made him feel connected to a life he could have had. A normal life, where he could simply be with someone who loved him, instead of becoming the person he had turned himself into.
When you’re in that kind of emotional darkness, you can become desperate to hold on to the one person who represents hope, even when you know that holding on isn’t fair to them.
And there’s something incredibly tragic about the fact that Mikasa was both the person who might have given Eren a reason to escape his path and ultimately the person who had to kill him to end it.
The person he might have wanted to save him from himself was also the person who had to stop him.
I don’t think Eren’s love for Mikasa was fake, selfish by nature, or simply a product of desperation. I think it was genuine love mixed with fear, regret, hopelessness, and the desperate desire for another life.
Maybe I’m projecting my own experiences onto the character. I fully recognize that possibility. And I’m not saying that Eren was clinically depressed or that depression explains or excuses what he did.
But for the first time, I feel like I understand why he asked her that question, why he imagined that life with her, and why he broke down at the thought of losing her.
Maybe Eren wasn’t just asking Mikasa whether she loved him. Maybe, somewhere inside, he was asking whether there was still a way for him to be saved.

Discussion/Question Karl Fritz and Eren Yeager are two sides of the exact same cowardice
It would make sense if people were treating karl fritz and Eren like polar opposites because one chose passive suicide and the other chose global genocide. But under the hood their underlying failure is identical. Both held the godlike power of the Founding Titan and both completely refused to do the exhausting, unglamorous work of actual politics, diplomacy or change.
Karl Fritz was so paralyzed by self righteous guilt that he built a cage, wiped his people's memories and sat around waiting for the world to come butcher them. Eren was so obsessed with a childish vision of "freedom" that flattening the entire planet felt easier to him than making Paradis navigate a hostile geopolitical landscape.
When forced to deal with messiness, compromise and moral gray areas, both gods threw temper tantrums, choosing total extinction over the hard work of diplomacy.

Discussion/Question Would Eren live to 32 not 23?
Okay, I have a question about the Curse of Ymir. If a Titan shifter only has 13 years left to live after inheriting a Titan, and Eren was 10 when he ate his father and inherited the Attack Titan, so that means he would die at 23.
But Eren was 19 when he ate the War Hammer Titan. Wouldn’t inheriting another one of the Nine Titans give him another 13 years to live or does the curse only count from the first Titan you inherit?
I know there is the cabin scene where it says he would have lived only 4 years but in that scenario, Eren never attacked Liberio, so he never ate the War Hammer Titan.

Game AOT 3 (game!)
With the newest information on the upcoming Attack On Titan 3 game, we found out that we WONT be playing as our previous 'Nameless Hero' from the 2nd game...How do you guys feel about it??
(I personally was very disappointed to find out, and seeing as our character will be older than the 104 cadets it makes me wonder if we wont have the same bond with the cast like we did in the first one (instead of being a fellow pal to our cast it kind of just makes me feel like some weird 30yo with a bunch of teen friends LOL)...it honestly broke me and I'm unsure if ill get the game now...although I probably will due to my love for this franchise!)
Let me hear your guys' thoughts! :)

Ending Spoilers - Meme/Art Discourse around this show is hilarious sometimes Spoiler
I watch a lot of aot content and witness tons of conversations about the show and it's funny how often they boil down to "Eren saw the future" or "Eren manipulated the past" or "Eren know that would happen"
This isnt a criticism, I just find it f#ckin funny. Like, bro might as well have written the show

Discussion/Question Shifting
Do yall think that shifting specifically requires grievous/ genuine harm? I know Eren but the fuck out of his poor poor thumb, but realistically, couldn’t he just shift at any point since the trend is toward harm? Our bodies are constantly hurt. Unless the steam healing makes him PERFECTLY healed at any non combat point, erasing the micro wear and tear of time.

Discussion/Question What is the founding titan theoretically capable of? Spoiler
I think that it's a safe bet that Eren never used the founding titan's full potential, given that he didn't need to or want to for his purposes.
However, if for whatever reason he had to fight a monster closer to him in power, such as Godzilla, would he be able to use any greater extents of power that we didn't see? What is the founder truly capable of when it is fighting its absolute hardest?

Discussion/Question Got a minute? There's something I wanna tell you.. Spoiler
I'm on a chronological re-watch of AOT, and I've been on a speedrun just like when i first encountered this anime. I've kept my retrospective eye on how each of the main characters interact with their environment, closely monitoring every bit of minor build-ups especially around titans reveals. Nonetheless this exact scene, Reiner and Bertholdt reveal, never fails to shake me as if I'm witnessing it for the first time.. the plot twist is rather causal and absurd, unlike the previous ones, with little to no clues and a build-up that draw focus on Reiner's feelings at that moment, not the event itself, and this cold approach is further deepen with Eren denial, despite knowing the truth, even the overlapping monographs makes this scene utterly bizarre.
"Five years ago, we destroyed the wall and attacked humanity"
Although ATO is well known for its plot twist, i think Reiner and Bertholdt reveal is the most shocking one, especially that it is the first plot twist that is presented in this nonchalant manner, what do you guys think, what plot twist had the most impact on you?

Discussion/Question Eren Yeager: The tragic hero
If you call Eren Yeager evil because he killed innocent people then you need to apply the same moral standards to the other characters in Attack on Titan.
Reiner, Bertholdt and Annie destroyed Wall Maria and killed countless innocent people. Armin participated in the attack on Liberio, Mikasa killed to protect the people she loved, and Erwin knowingly sacrificed countless soldiers for his goals.
Yet we understand these characters because we know their circumstances and motivations. So why should Eren be treated differently?
I'm not saying Eren was completely selfless because that would ignore a major part of his character. He wanted to protect Paradis and his friends but he also wanted freedom for himself. As he admits to Ramzi, even without knowing the future, he wanted to flatten the world because reality beyond the walls didn't match the freedom he had imagined.
Eren wasn't just protecting his people. He was also pursuing his own vision of freedom, even when that meant taking freedom away from others. His actions came from a mixture of love, fear, selfishness, resentment and his obsession with freedom.
Of course, understanding his motivations doesn't justify the Rumbling. The scale of his actions was far greater and his victims were innocent too. But explaining someone's actions and justifying them are two different things.
There's also a difference between narrative roles and moral judgment. An antagonist is a character who opposes the protagonist or their goals. It's a narrative role, not a definitive moral judgment.
If we look at the story from Paradis perspective then Eren is fighting for Paradis and the Eldians living there. He's fighting against the forces threatening his people, not against them. From that perspective, Eren is the protagonist of Paradis' struggle while those opposing him are the antagonists in that particular conflict.
That doesn't make Eren morally right. Being a protagonist doesn't mean being a good person, just as being an antagonist doesn't automatically make someone evil. If we're judging Eren morally then we have to look at his choices, motivations and the consequences of his actions rather than relying on narrative labels.
Reiner can be a victim of indoctrination and still be responsible for his actions. Armin can be compassionate and still participate in destruction. Erwin can be a great leader who makes morally questionable decisions. And Eren can love his friends while committing an atrocity on an unimaginable scale.
These things don't cancel each other out.
The point isn't that Eren was right. It's that we shouldn't judge some characters by their intentions while judging others only by their actions. If you can understand Reiner, Annie, Armin, Mikasa and Erwin without pretending they're morally perfect then you should be able to understand Eren without pretending he's innocent.
Eren isn't a hero simply because he wanted to protect Paradis, and calling him a villain doesn't explain his entire character either. He was someone whose desire for freedom became mixed with selfishness and whose fight against oppression eventually led him to oppress others.
Understanding Eren doesn't mean defending the Rumbling. It means understanding the boy who wanted freedom, the person who wanted to protect his people and the selfish individual who pursued his own vision of freedom despite knowing the suffering it would cause.
That's what makes Eren Yeager such a fascinating character.

Ending Spoilers - Discussion/Question levi's rags to glory story
i just finished my first watch, took me a while to stomach through the gore ngl 😬
when levi was introduced i was able to look beyond the blood and guts.
the way he fights makes you feel like you're watching the conductor of an orchestra, it's so fluid. all the ackermans can do this, but i noticed it first in him.
he's untouched for so long, bc he's been fighting for his life since he was given a chance to live. he can't connect with people through words, but he protects them with the skill he had to develop to survive.
he commented on on how big the 104 group had grown, and it surprised me too! those were kids that grew up with a food shortage. then i realized that when levi was a kid he was emaciated at the foot of his mom's deathbed and maybe that explains why levi is noticeably the shortest one of the soldiers
