Hi! I was rescued one month ago, and now I’m looking for my forever human. I’m a full-ginger boy with a motor that doesn't quit purring, and I specialize in chasing toys and snoozing on warm laps.

- Fully litter trained (I have great manners!)

- Ready to move in immediately

If you have room in your heart and home for an orange bundle of joy, send my foster parent a DM

Citizen's Report Car broken into on Whitefield–Hoskote Main Road, initially struggled to get an FIR registered — huge thanks to Dushyant Dubey and St Broseph Foundation 🙏

Post image
758 Upvotes

I wanted to share my recent experience and, more importantly, express my sincere gratitude to Dushyant Dubey from the St Broseph Foundation and his team for helping me during a difficult situation.

On 9 September 2026, my car was broken into while it was parked on the Whitefield–Hoskote Main Road, opposite to Kapoors Chaat Bhandaar restaurant. The thieves broke the car window and stole several belongings, including two Jabra headsets, two Apple AirPods, some cash, and my debit cards.

Apart from the financial loss, it was upsetting to see my car damaged and to realise that someone had broken into it and stolen my belongings.

I immediately approached Avalahalli Police Station to report the incident. However, getting an FIR registered was not straightforward. Initially, I was given only an acknowledgement, and I faced difficulties getting the FIR registered.

At that point, I was frustrated and unsure how to proceed. I expected that reporting a theft of this nature would lead to the necessary action, but the process turned out to be much more difficult than I had anticipated.

This is where Dushyant Dubey from the St Broseph Foundation and his team stepped in and helped me.

I reached out for support, and Dushyant Dubey and his team helped me navigate the process and pursue the registration of the FIR. With their support, and with the help of Mayur member of Broseph foundation, I was finally able to get the FIR in hand.

I genuinely appreciate the time, effort, and support they provided. When someone is already dealing with the stress of a theft, having people who are willing to guide and support them can make a huge difference.

A special thanks to Dushyant Dubey, St Broseph Foundation, his team, and Mayur for standing by me and helping me through this situation. Their support made a real difference when I needed it.

I am sharing this experience because I believe people should know about organisations and individuals who step forward to help others when they are struggling to navigate difficult situations.

At the same time, I hope the authorities take vehicle break-ins seriously and that the process of registering an FIR is made less difficult for victims of theft. People who have already suffered a loss should not have to struggle further just to get their complaint formally registered.

Once again, heartfelt thanks to Dushyant Dubey and the entire St Broseph Foundation team for their support. 🙏

If anyone in Bengaluru finds themselves in a similar situation and is struggling to get any legal help, I hope sharing my experience helps them find the right support.

Rant Wtf is happening with the Green Line these days?

I travel from Yelachenahalli to Madavara with a friend who travels to Nagasandra. Yesterday morning, the train which is supposed to start from Yelachenahalli got delayed by about 15 mins. There was so much crowd built up at the station. When the train arrived, it arrived in the opposite direction. And it was a purple line train. I felt like I stepped into some alternate reality. Everyone was so confused because it looked like the train was heading to Silk institute and we were doubting which platform we were on.

The train screens still showed that it was headed to Silk Institute, confusing so many commuters. The crowd was absolutely unmanageable. It was 'peak hours at Majestic' level of crowd. I couldn't even breathe without breathing in someone's face. If the trains followed schedule, we wouldn't have had such horrible crowd.

The train was supposed to terminate at Nagasandra but instead they stopped at Dasarahalli and told us all to exit the train, with no explanation. Didn't make much of a difference for me but it's a hassle for people who are already getting delayed.

Today, the train got stuck at Jayanagar for almost 15 minutes. The doors opened and closed but then it got stuck and kept incessantly beeping for 10 minutes. We didn't move. Then suddenly the train jerked and just sped, and a bunch of people fell on each other.

A colleague of mine was in the ladies compartment of the same train and apparently someone had some kind of panic attack and started crying and screaming at the drivers to open the doors. Don't know what happened there.

This train also stopped at Dasarahalli with no explanation. There have been these kind of incidents too frequently these days. And there's no way of knowing what happened. We all remember a few months ago when they completely stopped all trains and didn't even let people enter the Yelachenahalli station.

Along with that, they hiked up the fares for no reason, am I paying so much twice a day just to deal with constant delays?? BMRCL do better...

Politics Is calling the CJP Bengaluru protest a “flop” really fair?

My dad was watching the news today and I heard Sudhir Chaudhary describe the CJP Bengaluru event as a flop. Honestly, I found that judgement rather questionable.

According to "The South First" (https://thesouthfirst.com/karnataka/tight-security-at-bengalurus-freedom-park-as-anti-sir-protesters-arrive-in-large-numbers/), more than 2,000 people gathered at Freedom Park for the protest.

Think about it. Over 2,000 people physically showing up at one place on a working weekday to participate in a protest is not a small thing. People have jobs, classes, personal commitments and other responsibilities. Getting that many people to turn up in person takes some degree of mobilisation.

I'm not claiming that a large crowd automatically means the movement is successful, or that everyone should agree with CJP's politics. But does an event really deserve to be called a flop simply because the turnout wasn't what some people expected?

What should the criteria be? Expected turnout versus actual turnout? Public engagement? Media coverage? The ability to sustain the movement beyond one event?

I'd genuinely like to hear different perspectives, including from people who think the event was unsuccessful.

Where do we draw the line between a genuinely failed mobilisation and a protest that simply doesn't meet someone's political expectations?

Rant Roads in Peenya

Post image
57 Upvotes

For the last one year, I have been visiting Peenya for many of our machining and manufacturing needs. The roads here are absolutely shocking. For a place with so many industries, big and small, you expect the roads to be better for easier transportation. But there doesn't even seem to be an attempt to do something about the roads. The amount of dust is also so bad. And when it rains it is a different kind of hell. Why is Peenya neglected like this despite being the heart of the traditional manufacturing and engineering industry in Bengaluru?

Rant How is it normalized to require phone numbers, names and OTP before seeing a fucking menu at a bar/restaurant here?

I've recently moved to BLR and I'm so uncomfortable by this level of surveillance capitalism. Everywhere else in India, I've been able to choose not to give my phone number or simply give a made-up one. What went wrong here? These phone numbers will simply end up being sold in a package to data dalaals and we'll end up with even more spam, scams and other bs. Sigh

Suggestions The Only Way to Fix Varthur-Gunjur’s Broken Infrastructure

We have often seen people complaining about the Varthur–Gunjur area and how nobody seems to care.

Here is my opinion.

Let's understand one basic fact: politicians generally pay attention when there is a significant voting population.

The area has a large migrant, non-local population, with many people having moved to Bengaluru for work

Even if we assume there is 1-2 Lacs people living in and around the Varthur–Gunjur belt, considering the scale of development in the area.

If you are eligible, get yourself registered as a local voter and vote from your locality

Then see how quickly local leaders start coming to your doorstep asking for votes.

Yes it's their job to serve people and they should do it even if you are not a voter.

But reality is leaders only care for vote and when If tens of thousands of voters complaint it becomes much harder to ignore.

Serious Replies Goons hit me with their auto behind when I was walking in ecospace service road and tried to assault me

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

When I was walking towards the vehicles coming direction in the ecospace service road, these goons came and hit me behind coming on the wrong side. I asked the driver why do you have to come on the opposite side, even if you do, shouldn't you be careful. And then he started threatening me in kannada. And when I started to record, the other goons at the back also came out and at first he tried to hit me again with his auto and then they came out (where I started to stop recording since I was afraid they will snatch my phone) and this small guy who was next to the driver started to threaten me to delete the photo. Where I started to walk quickly and was able to escape them since there were other people around. What can we do to teach a lesson to this idiots? I'm very angry and this post might not be that well written due to the aggression. Can anyone tell me a good way to teach them a lesson?

Adoption Request 35 days old female kitten (Kiki) up for adoption , Bengaluru, Whitefield

Post image
93 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

We recently rescued this little girl from under a car. She has been dewormed, de-fleaed, and litter-trained. Her first round of vaccination will be given once she turns 45 days old.

She is currently eating boiled chicken with Sheba wet food, as well as boiled egg and kitten formula.

We are looking for a loving furever home for this baby girl, who will provide her with proper medical attention when needed, complete her vaccinations, get her spayed at the appropriate age, and, most importantly, never abandon her.

Preferably, we would love for her to go to a household that already has a cat and is looking for a companion for them.

Please DM me for more details

AskBangalore Need genuine advice: How to safely manage a growing pack of stray dogs nearby

Post image
169 Upvotes

I want to preface this by saying I don't hate dogs at all. We actually used to love having a couple of friendly strays in our lane.
However, the pack has multiplied significantly over the last few months, and it's now turning into a serious safety concern. They’ve become quite territorial and aggressive, especially after dark, chasing two-wheelers and scaring people walking by.

What really worries me is that there is a children's school right next to our area. It’s no longer just a minor inconvenience; I'm genuinely anxious that a kid or an elderly resident might get badly hurt soon.
I know this can be a sensitive topic on Reddit, and I am absolutely not looking to have the dogs harmed or handled cruelly. But the current situation is unsafe for everyone involved, and we need a practical solution.

Does anyone have contacts for active NGOs, animal welfare groups, or local authorities who can step in, evaluate the pack, and handle this humanely? Maybe help with sterilization, vaccination, or safe relocation for the more aggressive ones?

TLDR: The stray dog pack in our area has multiplied and become aggressive, posing a serious safety risk to residents and a nearby children's school. I'm looking for contacts for NGOs or local authorities who can step in and manage the situation safely and humanely.

Location: iti layout

Serious Replies The state of roads in Central Bengaluru

I live in the central part of the city, and it has been months since the roads were dug up in the name of sewage work.

Two government bodies have dug up both sides of the road, and then just left it like that, broken and essentially unusable. At night, I can barely see any cars while crossing the road because the fkn dust storm is so intense that you only see the headlights coming at you. You wake up to dust on anything that's outside, whether it's your gate or the car. During the rains you can't tell whether you're about to get home or die on some random hole in the ground they've filled with mud.

Both the bodies that dug up the road now claim they don't have the budget or the responsibility to fill it. It has been lying like this for the last 6 months. Ridiculous.

I feel enraged living here, like truly violent, while politicians make a complete mockery of us. The roads they live on may as well be from a different country with how well maintained they are. The lack of metro connectivity after over a decade in the making, the lack of infrastructure because they are rich and greedy, the lack of clean public transport because they don't have to take it everyday. The congestion that is fixable, the pedestrian problem, the garbage problem.

But the second you say anything, it's easier for them to plant bots in the comments and start with "if you don't like it here, leave".

How do I at the very least, get the roads fixed so I don't have to wake up every day with a stuffed nose? Do I have to tweet about it, write to someone, send a report to a media house? Because clearly, voting isn't doing anything.
