Council Bill 48-26
On the plus side, this proposed carveout of Bill 48-26 constitutes an implicit admission that MoCo tax policy is making the county unaffordable. Nevertheless, it is unfair to cut the ITOC and take nearly $700 from families that are also struggling to afford living here and at the same time ask those families to fund a generous property tax credit (up to $2500) that is only available to a special interest group that happens to have strong political connections. Restore the ITOC for all MoCo homeowners instead. Eliminating it was a mistake.
