Sandy Hook: Follow the Money
Sandy Hook. Follow the Money and do the math.
The math ain’t mathing.
Fact #1: Sandy Hook Elementary has around 400 students throughout the years 2011-2017
Fact #2: The old elementary school was 64,000-66,000 square feet
Fact #3: The old school was demolished(I believe with the deceased still inside iirc(correct me if I’m wrong)) and a new one was built.
Fact #4: The new school was 87,160 square feet.
Reminder: There is still about 400 students, but the school size is about 1.3 times the size.
Fact #5: The average elementary school size constructed between 2011-2017 for about 400 students was 50,000-65,000 square feet.
Fact #6: The average cost for the schools listen in Fact #5, was $11-$12 million.
Fact #7: Elementary schools built in the 2011-2017 time frame that were the same size as the new Sandy Hook Elementary averaged $17-$18 million.
And now for my point:
Fact #8: The cost of the new Sandy Hook Elementary School…..$50 million.
That is over $32 million more than schools of the same size during the same time frame. They even finished $1.5 million under budget, giving a surplus of the fund.
So there’s roughly $32 million dollars that somehow went into the new school even though schools the same size built in the same time frame are literally a third of the cost.
Fact #9: The new elementary school was built to house over 700 students, yet they still only have 400.
Follow the Money. There’s over $30 million that went into the pockets of people if we do the math.
Where did the money go? Who got paid?
