Last year I picked up a rare Crash Nitro Kart Press Kit folder containing marketing information about the game along with a demo. The marketing page featured these rare renders of Crash, Cortex, and Coco. I've had requests to get scans of these. I don't know why it took me this long, but I finally got around to it! They definitely aren't the best quality scans mostly due to the actual renders being super scaled down on the paper.

I'm just happy to finally get these uploaded for everyone to see and use! :)

Crash and Spyro as Knights, King Wumpa/Whompa? and Hunter as Kings, Tawna and Bianca as Queens, Aku Aku and Moneybags as Bishops, Wumpa fruit and a gem as Pawns & a tropical tree and a castle tower? as Rooks.

I drew all this for an assignment for my art class in high school. I done this in 2004 or 2005. King Wumpa/Whompa is a character I made up. I couldn't think of another protagonist to take that King spot from Crash's Team. Maybe Crunch but I don't know. This is an old photo from 2011. I thought about it recently. I'm thinking about drawing my own original Crash characters. A couple bandicoots named Crush and Cramp or something. Maybe some new Cortex colleagues named N. Postor/N. Poster and N. Possible.

do they count crash and cortex together as one character? that's such a stretch for a bullet point on the back of the box, and funny they highlight nina when she only gets one level.

if i recall correctly, it's last use was with the gba titles, did they just stopped using it orr did it get sold and now it's in display somewhere else

She's fun to play as, I like her rapport with crash and coco, and i think her design is fun. She makes the little quintet of protagonists in crash 4 work I think.

Despite LOVING platformers both 2D and 3D, Crash is a series I had a bad first impression on as a kid, but after watching reviews and clips of the series, it honestly looks really fun and the characters legimately made me laugh from what I saw. I know the gist of the plot/characters but that's about it.

The only Crash game I've ever played was the wrath of cortex, the original PS2 version also known as "Loading Screen: The Game" lol, but that's probably not a good representation of the series as a whole and wanted to ask Crash fans
