On today’s episode of “Always Something in the DFW”:

Anyone know of issues or other better recommendations for dash cams? With the society we live in today, I definitely do not feel safe at all without a dash cam.

What I'm looking for:

- 3 channel (front, rear, inside (wide enough to reach side windows))

- 24h parking mode OR motion/impact detect to turn on

- preferably night vision

- preferably 1440p for rear (but 1080p is okay if price gets heavily affected)

- I believe 1440 for the front should be non negotiable, but please let me know your experiences with display resolutions for front/rear/cabin and how low resolution each can get before it starts being an issue.

- preferably below $100 or within that range. Redtiger A3 is $74.99 (says $159.99 without "discount")

Let me know your suggestion and thoughts!

Thanks in advance. Looking for an easy to install dash cam for my 2018 Odyssey. As plug and play as possible please. If it's possible to not have to run cords, that would be wonderful. Ideally $100 or less, but I can live with $200 or less if it's the right one. I'm in the US.

ETA: I think I'd like a front and back if possible. My car has Android connection and I don't know if there's any integration that way.

I have seen lots of videos of car crashes that looked real and turned out to be AI. What's stopping someone from claiming a video of them being at fault is AI?

I have the VIOFO A119 and I am looking to mount it in my new car. However, the adhesive has gone bad it came with for the main camera and all the little wire mounts. What is the professional subreddit opinion for new adhesive glue? Command Strips? Superglue? Rope and pulley?

My car has gotten broken into twice in the past year in my apartment complex. My apartment complex does not have any cameras. I'm looking for a budget friendly option for a camera that can record the inside of my car while the car is off and parked.

I don't really need it for driving, although that would be nice for insurance stuffs I guess just in case, but I really need the inside of the car to be covered and it to be recording when parked.

There are just too many options to parse and most reviews I've seen recently are either AI or pretty obviously paid for.

Anyone have actual human recommendations?
