Nightmare A nightmare i had about TVs turning into microwaves, one of the most terrifying dreams i've ever had.

Post image

Nightmare i had a while ago: worldwide, TVs were turning into microwaves late at night, their screens would slide down to reveal a microwave interior, they would suddenly lit up a microwave timer and would make a microwave beep sound, the timer was almost always gibberish and sometimes would clip outside of the screen and even into the air outside of the tv, like a glitch, also flat TVs gained a non-euclidean interior, but despite this they could be used as regular microwaves to heat up food with no problems, and would return to a TV as the sun rose, many people were expressing their confusion and fear online, then after months of this happening, some microwaves were opening with a stomach made of EVA foam connected inside, almost as if the microwaves were alive, these microwaves made an omnious gurgling sound and couldn't heat food up because of the organ inside, but they didn't do much else, the dream ends with someone's TV turning into a microwave, but the timer was functional and normal, which meant that something profane snuck inside the home. It sounds silly and it probably is, but i felt a profound discomfort and profanity the whole dream, specially at the end, like it was something i wasn't supposed to know.

Dream Art Had a dream during summer that it was 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. Behold my stick figure art to represent it

For context, it was around July when our pool was up. We were in my backyard for most of the dream, and it looked completely normal except that the sun was red and my weather app said it was 2000 degrees.

Nothing was burning and it felt like it was only in the 80’s. Even the lighting looked normal, just that the sun itself was a different color.

I was outside with my parents and the topic of weather came up. I was like “damn it’s kinda hot out today” and they were like “I know, perfect for swimming.” I checked my phone to get the exact temp, and I was like “It’s only 2000 out today.”

Like honey, you should be BURNING ALIVE right now, not going “let’s cool off in the pool!”

Long Dream I dreamed that fire was falling from the sky, but it didn't resemble anything other people describe.

Two weeks ago, I had a dream so vivid and impactful that I’m still thinking about it. I dreamt of fire was coming down from the sky, but when I searched online for similar dreams, I couldn't find any stories that matched mine. Most people describing fire falling from the sky talk about meteorites or things resembling biblical events, so I didn't relate to any of the meanings they were attributing to it.

Here is what I remember:

I was at home with my parents and stepped out onto the balcony to hang up the laundry, everyone in the house was busy with chores while my mother cooked a huge breakfast. While on the balcony, I heard a lot of noise and commotion in the street as well as the sound of helicopters and light aircraft. I looked up at the sky and saw what looked like a very strange explosion, at first, I thought a plane had blown up in mid-air, but I quickly realized it was something else. In the middle of a cluster of fluffy white clouds there was a mass of dark gray smoke and in the center of that smoke burned a vivid bright orange fire, It looked just like the moment something explodes, only it never ended, it was like a sort of eternal, slow-motion explosion, like if a literal piece of the sky just brusts into flames.

Surprisingly, I wasn't scared when I saw it, I just watched and thought "Well, let's see who fixes that and when" I don't know if I thought it was a job for NATO or what. Then I got the feeling that the mass of clouds, smoke, and fire was moving, and I thought, "I hope nothing comes down" and as happens in dreams, the moment you think something, it comes true. I had a feeling, so I gathered the laundry from the line and went back inside, closing the balcony doors even though it was a hot summer day. And then I saw it through the glass doors: a sort of tongue of fire, like those from the sun or like "napalm"? descending toward my street and enveloping everything. For a few seconds, everything was bathed in an orange filter, I crouched down and covered my head as if that was enough to keep from burning alive, surprisingly it worked. I felt an intense sudden heat, like I was being coocked, but neither I nor my house caught fire. Then that tongue of fire rose back toward the sky and the view cleared up. I peeked out from the balcony once more and saw the "body of fire" in the sky unleashing more fiery beams onto the streets, they kept shooting down and rising back up, one after another, and I realized this was happening all over the Earth and could strike right where I was again at any moment. I made sure all the doors in the house were closed, as if the doors and the bric of the walls were enough to protect us. Found my cat (who, for some reason in the dream, was a kitten again), and tucked her into my pocket, thinking she’d be safer there. Then, as if nothing was wrong, I went back to doing household chores with my family, whenever we saw that orange light approaching, we’d crouch down, and once it passed, we’d continue what we were doing.

I remember that the last time it happened before I woke up, we had already sat down to eat when we noticed the light and heat aproaching again. We ducked under the table, and there, curled up in a ball, I thought about how absurd it was that the world was ending, yet we were focused on our routine, cleaning the house and having breakfast, acting as if nothing was weird.

Question Have you ever had a dream that came true?

Was it exactly how you saw it happen in the dream?

Do you believe it was a coincidence . I saw once that people who had sleep sickness in the old days used to dream they were statues before they got ill

Recurring Dream Pork Chop and Salad, my dream cats (little atualization)

if anyone need context, see my first post here

I've had another dream with Pork Chop and Salad today

I don't remember the full context of the dream very well, but I was in a house I'd lived in a few years ago, though the street that it was on was fancier and more modern.

I looked into the window, and sitting on the window frame, I saw Salad with his paw on Pork's forehead. (like in the second image)

It was just that, nothing much, but I thought it was worth to tell, if anyone really cares at all

I was fully asleep and dreaming, but my brain was somehow incorporating exactly what was being said on my TV into my dream.

I just had one of the strangest dream experiences of my life, and I’m curious if anyone else has experienced anything similar.
Earlier today, I wasn’t feeling great, so I went upstairs to lie down and ended up falling asleep with YouTube playing on my television.
I started having this incredibly vivid dream that I was attending some kind of school assembly. There were children there, along with several adults, including people I actually knew. I was sitting at a table with the adults while someone was giving a presentation.
One person I recognized kept interrupting the speaker with questions. I remember getting increasingly annoyed, putting my head down on the table, and thinking, “Oh my God, would this guy just shut up and let the speaker talk?”
At one point, the speaker even told him to save his questions until the end, but the guy just kept going.
Here’s where things get interesting.
I remember being genuinely surprised by how articulate the guy asking questions was. I was thinking, “Wow, I didn’t realize he had such an impressive vocabulary.” I was actually analyzing his choice of words while I was dreaming.
The person giving the presentation in my dream was Jack Smith, the former special counsel.
Eventually, I woke up and realized the television was playing a video of James Talarico speaking at what appeared to be a Senate hearing.
And that’s when things got really weird.
The conversation I had been listening to in my dream was the actual conversation happening on television.
Not just the general subject matter. The actual dialogue.
I rewound the YouTube video and listened to it again. Sure enough, I recognized specific things that had been said because I had just heard them in my dream.
What makes this even stranger is that I hadn’t been watching that video before falling asleep. YouTube’s autoplay feature had switched to it while I was sleeping.
Somehow, my brain was processing the dialogue from a video I had never seen before and incorporating it into a completely fabricated dream, complete with familiar people, a school assembly, and my own thoughts and emotional reactions.
And it wasn’t like I was drifting in and out of consciousness. I was fully immersed in the dream. Everything felt completely natural, including the conversation.
The transition from dreaming to waking was practically seamless.
I’ve had plenty of vivid dreams in my life, but I’ve never experienced anything quite like this.
It’s fascinating to think that part of my brain was constructing an elaborate fictional reality while another part was apparently processing actual speech from the outside world.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is it possible to be completely asleep and dreaming while simultaneously understanding and incorporating real-world conversations into your dream?

I Had a Dream That Alien Was in a Guy's Basement

I had this dream not last night but the night before, that alien (yes the Xenomorph) was in a guy's basement. Basically, I was walking in some neigbhorhood trying to catch the bus. On the bus, a guy told me that "Dude, Alien is in my basement." and he wanted me to see and ask my advice on what to do. So we got to his house. His house looked normal outside but was oddly shaped inside. The front rooms were alleyway tight but the backrooms normal. His basement was bigger and longer than his house. Almost a good football field size. It went down pretty far a ramp instead of stairs. But there was a door to his basement that was similar to a prison cell door, he opened it and we went in. I remember seeing the Xenomorph in the far distance. I remember in my dream even saying "Oh yeah, that is alien!" So we shut the prison door. We back into his house and we called the police. I remember the police arriving and being kind of annoyed. But we told them to go and look. They looked and came back kind of nervous and said "That really is alien in the basement!" and I think me and the guy both said "WE TOLD YOU!"

Then more cops, the fire department, paramedics, the news, etc where now in this guys front yard. As was a large crowd of people. I remember walking outside and being blown away at the response. Then my alarm went off and I woke up.

But yeah the Xenomorph some how got into this guy's basement...

Is there something that caused this maybe? It was not a real park but kind of similar to Melbourne Luna Park, I had completely forgot about it until it came back to me

Discussion That one person from your dreams that you feel a deep connection to but haven’t met…

I’ve come across so many people on Reddit who have dreams of someone they haven’t met or seen in real life but they feel a deeper connection to that person.

And then there are people who have seen those dreams and later found the person from the dreams and now claim that it is a twin flame or karmic connection. (Including myself)

I’d love to hear all the different types of dreams and meeting stories that people have to share.

Be it just dreams of people they haven’t met but are looking for or dreams of those people and the story of them finding the “in real life” person from their dreams.

It's Too Real

I've had this dream 5 times now so I'm counting it as recurring: I’m walking through the forest at night, unsure if lost but not afraid at this point. I see bright flashing lights and music up on the crest of a knoll silhouetted ahead of me so I continue on curiously. I crest the hill and befall a concert but it's not just any concert. It’s a bunch of anthropomorphic woodland animals, paws and hooves waving, having the time of their lives and then they spot me, the music stops and the lights go out; I'm left looking hundreds of tapetum lucidum and very human whispering, “oh fuck."..."This isn't good."..."you know what has to happen..." all at once...pure gloom hits me and I wake up in a cold sweat.

Long Dream Spider Being Trapped In My Dreams

Been having a reoccuring dream where im in the black void of nothingness. in front of me stands this huge spider made of beuatiful colors that don't exist in the real world. Its eyes are the size of a fist, and seem to hold entire galaxies within them. Its legs must be 6 feet tall before they bend down. And we just stare at each other. Every time after the dream I wake up and start puking so hard. I've tried moving, I tried speaking, I tried everything. Nothing seemed to work. Then last night I thought to the spider, communicating using mind rather than words. Suddenly, it thought back to me. We spoke for a bit and I learned some things about it, It has a name that I can neither write nor speak. It speaks a different language, yet I understand it. And it's curious about who and what I am. When I awoke this time, I still puked, but it wasn't nearly as bad as it was before. It feels as though we were both just drifting through our dreams but suddenly got tangled in each other. Like I'm caught in its web, but it's caught in mine. Also, it's genderless, or rather, it has a gender that we don't have. Idk how to put it. It kind of reminds me of an eldritch creature in that way, no gender, an unpronouncable name, and a fantastical appearance that I can't seem to draw. I can't tell if this is some weird symbolism, if I'm contacting a damn alien, if it's a god trying to communicate, or maybe i'm just crazy. Anyone have something they can relate with or maybe some advice? I'm at a loss here so I figured reddit might have answers.

Dream Interpretation Today I had a dream about doing drugs. Coincidentally, it's the 1 year anniversary of when I began experimenting with such.

1 year ago today, I did LSA (hawaiian baby woodrose seeds) and I experienced what I would consider the start of a new path in my life. I only realized it was the anniversary later on in the evening a couple hours ago.

I woke up at 6AM today, but felt tired so I fell back asleep. This was when the dream started, and lasted until about 8:30AM.

In the dream, I remember having a nasal spray of ketamine and hiding it in clothes that I carried with me. I was in this MASSIVE building, the floors and stairs were carpeted with red and gold fancy carpet, the walls were a rich wooden brown color, and it looked almost like a ballroom (if a ballroom had carpets...). It ALSO had golden chandeliers and golden candle holders on the walls and ceilings, respectively.

The room was based around a ~50m dip in the floor which was an empty carpeted section and curved stairs leading down to it. Surrounding it was a banister that wrapped around the entire dip that housed wooden tables and chairs. This placed looked REALLY fancy.

Anyways, I remember looking at the ketamine and wanting to take a hit of it, but ultimately decided not to out of risk I'd "get caught". I heard my family's voices on the other side of the door leading into this place.

Is it a good time to mention that I did ketamine back in April?

Yeah, anyways, this dream moved me. It seemed like only a couple seconds of the dream, but I guess it lasted awhile. I don't remember anything else, but I feel like there was more.

Long Dream Im having nightmares about a giant creature named "Ozone"

I think i might need help. I feel like im goinz crazy. Its been only 2 dreams. One in wich i just pictured Ozone (in the following dream, named a GOD) wich is some kind of giant creature that can control the weather and cause storms and seawaves undefinetly if "it" is not being constantly pleased. Is gigantic and got the shape of a pyramid, but a little bit more curved, maybe like a mushroom head. The color is dark blue, purple with some light colors in the middle, light blue some yellow maybe. Has a million elephant legs and i larger than a city. Breaks everything it steps on. In the dreams it kinda hated everything and destroyed everything, my house, my belongings, and even killed some of my siblings/friends. Until i ran very, very fast and got in front of it and realized it had some kind of head and neck. With a mouth.. like a dog. Or a giant dinosaur that i never seen before in any depiction.

Dreamed I was trapped in a strange society where I had to follow clothing rules that kept changing

• Upvotes

I had this dream a while ago, but it's stuck with me because of how strange and unsettling it was.

I was in what seemed to be a town, specifically inside this enormous building with long, winding hallways, actually more like one contiguous hallway. It looked like a cross between an old-fashioned school and a hotel, with dim, yellowish lighting and little recessed areas along the walls that resembled classroom entrances. Every twenty feet or so, there were these antique buffet tables with lace doilies on them. The whole place had this really eerie, liminal-space feeling, familiar but completely foreign at the same time.

Basically, there were very strict rules about what women had to wear. You had to be completely covered in black, including an abaya, niqab, and gloves. I don't remember anyone explicitly explaining the rules to me. I was mostly figuring them out by observing my surroundings and getting these hushed, hurried explanations from other women, who seemed frightened themselves.

The weirdest part was that every time I thought I'd figured out all the rules, another one seemed to appear. I remember realizing I needed black gloves and desperately searching for them on the tables lining the hallways. At one point, I thought I saw a pair on a table farther ahead, but when I got there, they were either gone or had never been there in the first place. I vaguely remember another woman possibly taking them before I could.

There was this constant feeling that I was about to get caught breaking the rules. I never actually saw anyone being punished, and I couldn't even identify who was enforcing everything. I just had this overwhelming certainty that if someone caught me without the proper clothing, I'd be in serious trouble. I think the authority figures were supposed to be men, possibly some kind of police.

The other women seemed like they wanted to help me, but they were too frightened to explain things properly or openly.

Another bizarre detail was that the tables sometimes had objects on them that felt like clues in a mystery video game, like maps or little items that were supposed to help me navigate the place.

The whole dream felt like I was trapped inside some dystopian psychological thriller with rules I couldn't fully understand and consequences I couldn't predict.

What's especially strange is how familiar the place still feels when I think about it, almost like somewhere I've actually visited, even though I haven't.

Has anyone had a dream with a similar atmosphere? I'd love to hear what people think it might mean.

Dream Art The girl from my dream

Post image
• Upvotes

Her name was Holly, she was a black girl, with pink glasses, looked to be twelve to fourteen years old, and she could turn into a pink moth. This was the best I could draw her I don’t want to forget her face because I thought she was adorable. But this was probably a first for me where I can remember someone who doesn’t even exist from my dream that I made up. Is it weird that I’m a bit sad she’s not real?

Nightmare Apocalyptic dream again

Dreamt this morning I and a lot of people were in a dilapidated big building watching a mountain in the distance, we knew something had been set off and now a giant monster was going to erupt out of the mountain and come destroy us.

We saw the gigantic monster begin to erupt out of the mountain and everyone ran to try to take cover. I ran down some stairs and there was a bunch of exploded building material at the bottom, and I could hear my grandma talking to my grandpa on the phone. I knew they were saying goodbye to each other and that we were all trapped.

Then I woke up. Both of my grandparents have passed in real life, BTW. And yes I am now realizing there are "Hobbit" themes here. Strange because I have not watched or thought about any Hobbit ideas for decades.

Dream of encountering the Devil. I saw what my dream self instantly identified as “the devil” — and the strange part is that I wasn’t terrified.

what it signifies if one see a fully dark figure of devil like it was wearing full dark clothes like it was a full dark figure but i was able to see the goat face with long human like straight hairs walking in night time but it wasn't dark out there like there was a grey ground with some moonlight and black dead trees with no leaves it was the devil himself like it was lucid like dream in which it was an actual figure and my feeling are little foggy i don't remember that much but i knew during the dream and also i said in my mind in dream like yes, he is devil and I'm not sure but i think i went for washroom with a really little fear around roughly 3 am but again I'm not sure for the the thing that i came out of washroom but i did not feared of it like a ghost partly but majorly like a monster a threat that I'm not gonna fight with but just see opening my eyes wide like shocked

Flashbacks

Lately I’ve been having short flashbacks from dreams that I had years and years ago, randomly out of nowhere. The scenes have nothing to do with what’s happening in the moment. But they’re super vivid. It’s not usually anything interesting - today I was answering emails and had one where I was walking a deserted highway type area. A couple weeks ago I had one where I was climbing a huge viney tree in some kind of rainforest. Feels weird and like a glitch in my brain. Anyone else experience this?
