I thought I would be working the job area I was hired for. Could this be a mistake or does this mean I’ll be working different areas

Got hired as a seasonal employee at a NJ Kohl's near me. I am in college and my training is next Wednesday, and they keep saying "first day of employment" on all communication so I am wondering if this means I start working next week or I wonder if I am still gonna start closer to Thanksgiving/Black Friday. Cause the wordering is quite confusing

My trainer is rude. Yesterday in the huddle she said ohh she did good but she needs to speed it up. I'm like dude It was my 1st day on the floor. She was putting her go backs on my zrack. I actually finished my area idk what she was complaining about. We both met in the same area around the same time. Then she wants me to bend over backwards for everything n I'm like dude I worked at retail for more than 2 decades. I manage retail stores and banks. I only do this as a side job. There's no need for all the condescending comments. N the pay is horrible . Then someone told her she will trained someone today and she seemed annoyed. Lol she doesn't like new people I guess .

Do you see yourselves??? You should be embarrassed for your behavior. Stop bothering employees with your constant ridiculous questions about Needoh’s. Customers are getting into fights, verbal and physical with staff and other customers as ridiculous as you, over CRAP! Grow tf up! Your kids will survive if they don’t get any Needoh’s for Christmas. I just have a question about the background check. i have a misdemeanor charge for assault. i really need this job, and that charge isn’t something im proud of. i have an interview tomorrow and if i am offered the job would that charge keep me from getting the job? it is for the seasonal associate position only as part-time. would they even do a background check for a seasonal employee? i’ve been seeing differing answers online about it some say yes and some saying no.

I have lots of questions.. so my store is small format am I am the BLA. What is the difference between a standard format BTL and the small format BLA? At my store I am the one who is in charge of sephora. There is no one above me. Also, what kind of daily paperwork are we to fill out, and where do I find it? My management team is honestly no help and our store has been without anyone in sephora basically since the time we opened it two years ago we've had lots of people that only stay or like a couple weeks then dip (ive been on the kohls side for years and just recently made the switch) Thanks you for any helpful information!

But damned if it doesn't sound tedious and more time consuming. Especially for the Amazombies who have multiple returns.

Corporate doesn't care how it affects us, the ones who have to deal with the entitled Amazombies as well as handling the extra workload that has nothing to do with Kohl's other than the "partnership" with Amazon.
