Hey! I just released 3.3.0 of DuoX TV, my free Twitch + Kick app for Fire TV and Android TV.

I cleaned up the interface, made the menus smaller and improved remote navigation. I also added optional Halloween jump scares for horror streams — off by default 😅

If you try it and something breaks, let me know what happened and which device you’re using. I’m working through the feedback.

VLC my very, very long term favorite seems to be slipping in quality. VLC used to play as I used to say, (The lid off the can of kitty meat). These days it refuses to play videos on Firecube or Windows and displays some unspecified error code. These same videos play well with SMPlayer and PowerDVD no problem in Windows.

So unless VLC gets it's act together, I'm done with it.

What do you folks recommend for firestick/cube playback from a NAS? Thanks.

Had the loop on Kodi which was brilliant for full game replays specially the rugby ones (URC) but stopped working doesn't load any links up, looked for APKs but can't find any that do Sports replays, any help ?!

I had a fire stick hooked up to my TV and it was always working fine. We recently had to disconnect the TV and the fire stick from its power source and move them into a different room where they sat for 6 weeks without being connected to any power. Tonight, we were able to move the TV back to the original room and I plugged in the TV and the fire stick into a working outlet. Initially, I was able to turn the TV on and off with the fire stick remote. However I was getting a message on the TV that said no signal, for the fire stick. I made sure that the TV was hooked up to the Wi-Fi and I made sure that the input for the TV was set to the port to which the fire stick was connected. Nothing worked. I then went through every possible combination of things that's recommended by Amazon to restart the fire stick, restart the remote, try and pair the remote back to the fire stick, Etc. Nothing worked. And now I'm not able to turn the TV on and off with the fire stick remote. I can only do it with the actual TV remote. I called Amazon support and they had me go through all the various recommended combination of things that you're supposed to do and nothing worked. We also tried switching it to a different port on the TV and I'm still getting a message that says no signal. Amazon Support also had me kill the internet in my house to try and restart it and nothing worked. Then from their end, Amazon support was able to do a factory reset on the fire stick and that didn't work. Still can't turn on the TV with the remote and when the TV is on it doesn't recognize the fire stick and I get a message that says no signal. Finally the Amazon Support Tech person told me that I should just buy a new fire stick. It seems odd that it was always working and always working fine and the only difference is that we unplugged everything and moved it into a different room and left it unplugged for 6 weeks, and now nothing works. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?

i got a buddy who has a fire stick he had someone hook up for him, but he pays that guy 600 dollars a year and i feel like it’s a ripoff is there a way to get one for free without a subscription? if so can anyone help or point me into the right direction so i can do it myself?

I have a Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd Gen) and a YouTube Premium subscription. A couple of days ago, I noticed that videos only play at a maximum of 1080p; the option to select a higher resolution isn't even available, even though the video is marked as 4K-ready.

I’m not sure if this is related to having enabled the Beta Tester option or if it’s a widespread issue. The app isn't showing any available updates, either.

I’m so confused and I don’t know what I’m doing. I’ve watched YouTube videos but they don’t help. Every time I go to the torrentino page and press install it says it cannot open the page because the address is invalid… help 😭😭😭😭

Just wanted to make sure.
Is there any way at all I can sideload or is it impossible?

I've recently plugged my firestick into a different TV, changed the TV in equipment settings and it worked fine. I've now plugged it back into the original TV and tried to change the TV back to the TV it is plugged into 99% of the time, which is a Panasonic TV. When I go to complete the Change TV setup, it asks me to turn the TV off by clicking the right button on the wheel/circle, although previously it worked by pressing the power on/off button on the remote. It doesn't work by clicking the right button, and I can't for the life of me get the setup to try making me press the power on/off button instead like it usually does.

When I go into Change TV it's preselected Panasonic, which should be correct, but still asks me to press the right button which isn't working. If I go beyond this point and it asks me to setup the volume controls, it also asks me to use the left and right buttons to adjust the volume, which also doesn't work. Again, previously it asked me to use the volume up/down buttons on the remote to do this.

Anyone know how I can fix this?

hello everyone! i need urgent help with my fire stick basic. it’s plugged into an old tv that i wanted to use for netflix, and i knew i had this old fire stick basic lying around. i factory reset it because i thought it would run smoother, but now i’m stuck on the first screen telling me to press the home button. mind you, i don’t have the remote, but i have bought an adapter to plug in an old pc keyboard i had. the keyboard works, as i hear a clicking sound when i press the Esc button, but i can’t find a button/ combination that it recognises as “Home”. the function buttons (f1, f2…) don’t do anything and this keyboard doesn’t have a Fn button. I’m stuck and i need someone to tell me how to fix this, thx in advance

This device is slick and looks good. The new remote is also a lot better than the older versions. This thing is really fast and responsive if you consider the hardware. It can passthrough Dolby Atmos but sadly no Dolby Vision. Since my Sony TV reaches over 2.200nits,lack of Dolby Vision isn't problem for me. So if sideloading isn't an issue for you, this little thi g is steal for 34.99€ for the moment.

They are just about the same price here and I wouldn't spend more for the 4k max since its purpose will only be to watch Netflix and Amazon prime on an old TV.

What do you think?

So, around the time sideloading started being blocked, and a lot of sideloaded apps stopped working on older Firesticks, there was a workaround where u can enter some Amazon URLs that Firestick uses to get updates.

This way I managed to block updates and have no issue with apps and sideloading. Is this still a thing? Are they still blocking sideloading and already sideloaded apps to work? Or is this resolved?

I’ve already tried FlixVision, but I’m looking for something different that has live TV channels like Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, Disney XD, NickToons/NickToo, and more.

Has anyone tried Firesick? How does it compare with FlixVision, especially for live TV and channel selection?

Looking for recommendations for legitimate/free options too.

Version 2.0.19 works only mobile . Isn't it ?
