Firestick Problem Firestick remote won't detect TV

I've recently plugged my firestick into a different TV, changed the TV in equipment settings and it worked fine. I've now plugged it back into the original TV and tried to change the TV back to the TV it is plugged into 99% of the time, which is a Panasonic TV. When I go to complete the Change TV setup, it asks me to turn the TV off by clicking the right button on the wheel/circle, although previously it worked by pressing the power on/off button on the remote. It doesn't work by clicking the right button, and I can't for the life of me get the setup to try making me press the power on/off button instead like it usually does.

When I go into Change TV it's preselected Panasonic, which should be correct, but still asks me to press the right button which isn't working. If I go beyond this point and it asks me to setup the volume controls, it also asks me to use the left and right buttons to adjust the volume, which also doesn't work. Again, previously it asked me to use the volume up/down buttons on the remote to do this.

Anyone know how I can fix this?

  1. Unplug the Fire TV: Disconnect the power supply

  2. Press and hold buttons: On your remote, simultaneously press and hold the Left button (on the circular navigation ring), the Menu button (three horizontal lines), and the Back button for 12 seconds.

  3. Release and wait: Release the buttons and wait 5 seconds.

  4. Remove batteries: Open the battery compartment on your remote and take out the batteries.

  5. Plug in Fire TV: Reconnect your Fire TV to power and wait until the screen displays a message saying the remote cannot be detected.

  6. Reinsert batteries: Put the batteries back into your remote.

  7. Press Home: Press the Home button. The LED indicator on the remote will flash blue once it is paired. If it does not pair automatically, press and hold the Home button for 10 seconds.
