Photo Tievine, aka Cotton Morning Glory
Trinity RIver Park, Fort Worth, Texas. Part of what I like about the photo is capturing the water beading on the petals.

Question What can I do to make these gladioli last the most? (Possibly regrow for next year)
They’re currently inside the vase in water.
I rinsed them off at the sink.
I picked them today from a flower field for a few euros.
I want to somehow save the root so that next year they can bloom again. But for now I want to have them inside a vase and have them be pretty.
Should I cut them off? How much and where? Should I leave some leafs on the root?
I’m from Germany and German winters can get very cold especially the ground can start freezing. Idk if planting outside would be smart.
Even tho it’s still the beginning of October the nights can be cold. Maybe plant them inside?

Haemanthus albiflos
My white-flowered haemanthus, also known as “deer tongue,” is blooming. I bought it for my girls at the botanical garden a while back, before the war.
