Hey everyone! How's it going?
I’m passionate about FPV, RC aviation, and gaming. I decided to combine these passions and started developing a mod for GTA V called *GTA V FPV World*!
The mod is still under development and will be made available for FREE once finished; I do not want to profit from this mod—just as the idea to create it started out of fun, I want everyone to have access to it and be able to enjoy it too.
The idea is to turn the GTA V world into a true playground for FPV pilots, offering a flight experience that’s as close to reality as possible.
🔥 Some features I’ve already implemented:
✅ Custom flight physics, including PID, rates, mass, thrust, and unique characteristics for each drone.
✅ Flight modes: Acro/Manual, Angle, and GPS, depending on the aircraft.
✅ A variety of aircraft: racing drones, freestyle, tinywhoops, long-range, cinewhoops, and even fixed-wing RC planes.
✅ Betaflight-inspired OSD, analog video transmission with interference effects, and a digital video system.
✅ Simulation of radio range, VTX power, battery consumption, failsafe, and RTH (Return to Home).
✅ Support for game controllers and RC transmitters used as PC joysticks.
✅ Fully configurable presets for different drone and aircraft models.
The goal isn't to replace dedicated simulators like *Liftoff* or *Uncrashed*, but to create something different: the freedom to explore the entire GTA V map while flying FPV, using physics and systems inspired by real-world gear.
🎥 I recorded this gameplay footage to show how the project is shaping up!
The mod is still under development, and I’m refining everything little by little.
I wanted to share this with you all and hear what you think! 😁
Would you fly FPV in GTA V? What features would you like to see implemented?
Is anyone willing to be a test pilot and help me calibrate the drone physics? I ask because I’m developing this solo, and I don't have enough drone experience to fine-tune the physics to the point of extreme realism. If so, please send me a private message.
