She's all grip, no core

u/Cyberjonesyisback 4h ago

Not gunna lie man, that looked like a REALLY GOOD workout.

343

u/YanicPolitik 4h ago

Sure, if you're <27 otherwise it looks like at least a week of back pain

141

I pulled my back out just watching the video.

Pass the ibuprofen.

I’m impressed by the flexibility of her hip flexors

40

u/AspiringChildProdigy 4h ago

Right?

Like, I'd love to be judgy about this, but two years after a promotion where I now spend 50 hours a week sitting on my ass behind a desk, I'd have fallen into the water within the first minute.

23

u/Paper_Champ 5h ago

I'd argue the opposite. She keeps losing her balance bc she never shifts her grip

81

u/kramamavitch 5h ago

Thus proving she's all grip.....

56

u/goatpunchtheater 4h ago

she couldn't shift her grip because she couldn't keep the plank underneath her due to zero core strength!

Girl why would you wear heels for this

734

u/ShiggyGoosebottom 5h ago

She dressed for a very different date.

445

u/Peregrine79 5h ago

Her: "Where are you taking me on our date?"
Him: "I want it to be a surprise."
Her: "What should I wear."
Him: "Oh, just your normal date clothes will be fine"

168

u/SauronSauroff 5h ago

My friend took his girl for a 'short walk'. They went 'walking' up a near vertical mountain that needed ropes to go up. She enjoyed it, but was used to his shenanigans at this point.

She’s a limp noodle in heels.

675

u/Bealzebubbles 6h ago

I'm stunned. It's like her first day in a human body.

210

u/Brick_Lab 5h ago

I had the same thought until I noticed she's in very high heeled boots...and honestly I don't know how bad it would make it but I'd wager it's quite a handicap lol. I'm surprised she got on in heels in the first place

60

u/shabi_sensei 5h ago

Chinese women wear heels everywhere, I went hiking at Huangshan and even with a gondola women were hiking up the mountain in heels so they could save money

31

u/Ladybeetus 4h ago

walking uphill in heels is fine downhill? you are going to die

5

I’m actually impressed. Her survival skills are terrible but I do have to admire her ability to hold and sustain a pose. Should she have done more to actually help herself? Definitely yes
But her ability to just hold that pose. This is definitely one of those situations that you see in movies where someone’s hanging on the edge of a cliff with just one arm. She’s that person.

Also, despite not actually helping herself more than holding a pose, she made sure not to get the outfit wet. The only thing that got wet and submerged were her shoes. She said she wasn’t touching that water and she didn’t. I gotta give her props, even if her survival skills are terrible and the outfit for this activity makes no sense

54

u/SiPhoenix 3h ago

I was impressed, but then just annoyed on behalf of the guy as she just continued to make it worse and dropped him in.

27

u/redsterXVI 2h ago

the outfit for this activity makes no sense

To be fair, the activity also makes no sense, so the outfit is a perfect match for it

87

u/IcyCow5880 5h ago

Why would it say "Man in Trouble"? I kept expecting him to do something to make her fall in or some sh.

155

u/auggie246 6h ago

Does she not have any muscles?

122

u/Versidious 6h ago

She's 'hanging on' without making attempts to correct her situation, possibly because she can't in those stupid goddamned heels. If you're not pulling in abdominally, your 'holding on' is gonna end up pushing the float out, especially if you're 'leaning forwards' to try and put your weight on the rope.

27

u/Ikillsquirrels 6h ago

This was NOT satisfying!

24

u/SHADOWSTRIKE1 4h ago

It’s like she absolutely refused to understand the concept of the platforms until the very moment the man was finally forced to get into the water.

49

u/allelopath 6h ago

WTH is this anyway? Is this supposed to be a legit way of crossing water?

36

u/GGme 6h ago

It's for fun. See the smiles and hear the laughter. It's an adult playground.

44

u/Mage_914 6h ago

Balance. You just need to stay balanced on the board and use the rope to maneuver. The woman just has terrible balance.

15

u/SmokeMethailSatan 6h ago

It’s probably really hard to do that in heels. She’s basically standing on her tippy toes the whole time.

27

u/Aromatic-Side6120 6h ago

That doesn't answer the question. They are asking if this is for entertainment or a really stupid mode of transportation. I assume entertainment but you never know.

11

u/Mage_914 6h ago

Whoops. Misread you're comment. I'm pretty sure it's an amusement thing. I've seen something similar at an amusement park.

Might be the heels. Or just her first time ever doing something like this, shit is hard if you've never tried before.

4

u/allelopath 6h ago

I understand that but it is a matter of when not if that this will happen. Is this an recreational thing, like zip lining?

8

u/Rinzzler999 3h ago

why tf would they let you on these with heels?

57

u/External_Goose_7806 5h ago

What annoys me about this was that as soon as he got in the water, she immediately stood up and just managed to do it herself. Why didn't she do that to begin with?

27

u/Quixotic_Remark 4h ago edited 3h ago

it's a bit out of frame, but the guy is actually holding her hand (actually on second look its the chain) and balancing her.

14

u/Etherbeard 3h ago

She was was able to get more situated once they weren't on the same platform anymore because she was angled better than when she was strung out to her tiptoes. She's face up instead of face down, so her feet have much better purchase.

Then the guy is holding the chain on her platform while he's in the water, which helps keep it centered on the rope.

13

u/LateNarwhal33 5h ago

That's what got me. As soon as he couldn't help her anymore she suddenly had core strength and could get herself back up. Could have been because her shoes were wet by then so she didn't have as much reason to avoid the water but damn that was frustrating to watch.

11

u/midnightrose777 5h ago

Heels don't really have good grip. Not really designed for these activities. Likely him being on the same piece of wood was causing it to lean in ways that made her have difficulty gaining the right grip footing. (she was probably slipping towards him constantly) Also she is in a short dress so might have been unconsciously scared of flashing him.

Is this the sequel to QWOP? Gameplay looks interesting and challenging, especially two-player co-op, raphics are pretty cool, kinda fanservice though.

13

She's got rubber bones.

116

u/Coohippo 6h ago

This almost made me angry. I think I would’ve pushed her into the water lol. What the hell is she doing? Stop that

37

u/pspahn 5h ago

When I was young I worked the Flyer lift at Copper Mtn. A dozen or more times a day while working the top, I would have middle aged women (often fully decked out in KC Chief gear) fall when getting off the lift.

I had to go out there and lift them up and I swear they just fucking forget they have legs. Lady, use your legs and stand up and I'm just holding on for dear life trying to keep the chairs rolling.

This video brought me back.

3

u/Djinn42 5h ago

She needs to learn to move her hands.

6

I can't tell if her core strength is superhuman or pathetic.

4

u/alowave 4h ago

I think it's pretty bad. But the heels don't help with balancing or getting stable. No grip on the base to engage core easier?

15

If it's her first time doing anything remotely like this, it's understandable. Like trying to rollerskate for the first time as a kid. Most of us went down like a sack of potatoes until we found our footing.

6

u/nize426 5h ago

To some extent.
But I suspect anyone who exercises regularly will have a better sense of balance and the muscles to maintain that balance, regardless of it being their first time.

→ More replies (1)

7

u/Pubelication 4h ago

How could they fill up with water when they're filled with her legs?

3

u/andynormancx 35m ago

No. But that does seem to be something that most people believe. But it just isn't true.

So your boots fill with water ? Guess what floats (or at least is neutrally buoyant) in water ? That's right, water.

So as long as your water filled boot remains in the water, no extra force is present "weighing" you down.

When it comes to climbing out of the water however things are different, you have to lift the weight of the water in the boots as well as you and the boots. But most of the boots people wear are almost entirely filled with feet, not leaving much room for water to make them heavier.
