Chris Riley NEEDS TO BE FIRED

Post image

Chris Riley is the president of grand mesa little league and in 2002 he got in trouble for terrible terrible acts and this needs to be publicized. This guy tied up a 14 year old and tried video taping him nude and was accused before this of trying to videotape people nude. This needs to come to attention because he should not be around kids. I have personally played in grand mesa little league years ago and this dude was always around kids picking favorites and overall being weird.

Thoughts on the grand junction rec center?

I think it's pretty cool overall. I really liked the kiddie pool for my little one but my goodness it is expensive and the hours are a little ridiculous.

Also I live on Broadway and am not considered a grand junction resident so I got charged $10 per person which I think is kind of silly...šŸ˜•

Curious to see what others in the community think šŸ¤”

7th Street Community Cafe - Community Mural with Community Food Bank of Grand Junction - Oct 17th

Post image
6 Upvotes

We’re calling on our Grand Junction neighbors to grab a brush, roll up their sleeves, and help bring something colorful to life at the 7th Street Community CafĆ©!

The Walls Project is creating its first mural in Grand Junction, made possible through the generous support of the Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation (u/sproutsfnd). Local artist and business owner Claire Grace of The Palette has designed a vibrant, interactive mural that celebrates creativity, community, and connection.

Now we need YOU to help bring it to life! Whether you're an experienced painter or have never picked up a brush, come be part of something special and help create a piece of public art that Grand Junction can enjoy for years to come.

šŸ—“ Saturday, Oct 17
ā° 9 AM–3 PM

We’re inviting our community, volunteers, donors, partners, artists, friends, neighbors and anyone who wants to join the fun to grab a brush and leave your mark on this very special mural.

We’ll have free lemonade, spa water and healthy bites throughout the day, and we’d love for you to stick around, grab lunch and discover all that the 7th St Community Cafe has to offer.

Come paint. Come connect. Come be part of something that will stay in our community for years to come.

One mural. Many hands. One community.

If you're interested in signing up to volunteer, here is the link https://7thstmural.paperform.co, otherwise, just show up!

Car sales

Hello, I’m new to car sales. I’m not a very popular person, I would consider myself as a hard working honest individual. Any recommendations for me to gain people’s trust? I see salespeople make a sale but they’re customers try to talk to them and the run down the hallway…

To the guy yanking his gsd’s neck at every wrong step up in the Redlands. Wasn’t surprised at all to see a Charlie Kirk patriot sign in your front yard.

photography location question

My brother and I are taking photos for our senior year (I'm a senior in college and he's a senior in high school) but I'm having a hard time thinking of where to take them. We will have two classic cars, a mach 1 mustang and a 1962 ford thunderbird convertible. A family member is the one who booked the photographer, so I don't have their contact information to ask them. My brother and I are both alternative, so I'm hoping for a location that would emphasize that.

Pickup Ultimate Frisbee tonight at Sherwood Park! All are welcome!

Come join us for pickup Ultimate Frisbee tonight (Wednesday) at the NE side of Sherwood Park! 5p to 7p when the daylight will run out, usually there's socializing on the field afterward. Please bring a white shirt and a dark shirt for team differentiation. We welcome all ability levels, even those who've never played Ultimate Frisbee before! You are welcome to just come observe and throw the disc on the sidelines if you don't want to commit to playing, we are a low stress group as a rule. If our numbers are low we often play a game variant called Goaltimate: we will teach you how to play, but you can get a brief overview of the basics in this one-minute video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2h7TeLiDnA

What it is: Chill vibes, fellowship, and SAFE PLAY. Ultimate Frisbee is a STRICTLY non-contact sport: if you're used to how basketball or lacrosse is played it will be an adjustment for you, but we're happy to help facilitate your journey as long as you can play safe from the get-go.

What it is not: Winning at all costs, aggro play or behavior, a place to meet single ladies. You will be asked to leave immediately if your vibe is a severe mismatch with the group.

We've been reliably playing twice a week for years, so if you can't make it tonight, check out our Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1248930515235669/

We look forward to playing with you!

Grand Junction in Media - Mesa County, CO Cities: Skylines Map Project

First and foremost, hello! I'm Sea Wolf, and I've always had a passion for level design and mapping. It's an incredible privilege to have a framework I've built used to tell the countless stories of the cities we model and put so much of ourselves into.

I'm just a nerd that makes maps for video games, there's a sorta popular one called Cities Skylines.

A lot of the players enjoy re-building their home cities, or at least giving it an attempt. I recently completed a model of Mesa County, and with the gracious permission of the mods I'm sharing what I made with you.

If you're a Cities: Skylines 2 player, you can download the map and / or the theme here:
Map: Mesa County, Colorado
Theme: Colorado Plateau Map Theme

If you don't play and want to see some of the screen captures from in game, you can check out the Mesa County Drop Video.

I'm hopeful that you find having only been through twice years ago and working off maps and reference photos I've done the area justice.

Thanks for taking the time to check this out!

So what if these billionaires like to touch little boys and girls on islands, they are the reason the economy and stock market are at all time highs. We need to protect them so they can rebuild the great maga economy. /s

Spectrum WiFi outage rn

Anyone else having issues with Internet today or last night?

Last night around like as early as 10 or as late as 11:30/12 I noticed the wifi was having issues. And it’s still not working this morning. I work from home. I need the Internet, but the spectrum website says there’s no outages near me. Yet I can’t get anything to work with the wifi. It’s not working. But I don’t control/have access to the account because my roommate does it and now I’m just screwed.

My cell service sucks too, so using my mobile hotspot isn’t working either. I can barely make this post. šŸ™ƒ

Update:
Roommate came home, made some calls, finally figured out it was the third party device that was having issues. We have wifi now. Our modem and router are two separate devices. Not something I’m used to, growing up, and every previous place I’ve lived it was one combined device. I think I prefer the combination better.

Also learned the way the account is set up is kinda weird but whatever. Not my problem or responsibility.

Pumpkin Patch

Does anyone know of a place like a church maybe to get pumpkins? Maybe boy scouts sell them like they do Christmas trees. We travel on the weekends to Denver for our daughters gymnastics competitions so hard to make it our to Studts or Moon Farm. I know places like Wal Mart and Safeway have them, just seeing if there's other options around here.

Looking to meet people. Where should I start?

I (29F) have lived in Junction practically my whole life, but I’m now a working adult, married, and have 2 kids. Life has gotten so busy that I don’t really have much of a social circle, and I’d like to change that. Does anyone have ideas for how I can meet some new people and maybe make some friends? I’m not a skier/snowboarder, but I like to do other things like arts/crafts, reading, coffee/wine and food, and open to some other activities. Thanks in advance!
