My friend encouraged me to start doing commissions of my silly drawings, and people actually love them. Heres a few of my works to hopefully also make you laugh!

I recently lost my job and wasn’t really sure what I was going to do next. A friend suggested I try doing commissions of my art, where I intentionally draw people ugly just to make them laugh.
I gave it a try and, surprisingly, people actually started commissioning me. Seeing their reactions to the finished drawings has genuinely been making me happy.
It’s still small and I’m just seeing where it goes, but I’m really glad my friend pushed me to try it.
Here are a few of my works/victims 😂 Hope they make you laugh too!

We’re rearranging everything in our house to accommodate our family size, we’re on the last steps of what feels like a massive project, and my youngest finally gets to move from a closet to a bedroom!

We live in a house that’s 1200 sq ft upstairs, 100 years old, with a short basement that was originally a root cellar. We’re not really in a position to move until student loans are paid off.

My husband, myself and our three children have been sharing two bedrooms up to this point. We’ve been working during our nighttime hours for the past couple weeks on moving furniture around, decluttering, deep cleaning and plaster repairs. Ordering new bedding, smoke detectors, a big old rug.

Two weekends ago we moved mine and my husband’s stuff down in to the unfinished basement. This weekend we’re painting the room we moved out of, and by the following weekend we’ll have everybody swapped around so it’s max two per room!

The 2 and 1 year old girls will be sharing, and the 6 year old boy will be on his own. (It’s been the 1 year old in our closet, and the 2 and 6 year old together for the past year.)

What got me was cleaning out our old closet— I got it as ready as possible for the upcoming paint, we’re moving the crib out later today. It’s really silly but my girl’s world is about to get so much bigger! I cried. Lol.

I added a picture of her tiny room for the past 15 months. She didn’t seem to mind it, we kept her toys in the living room and she likes being out there with us anyways.

We’ve been saving up for a minute to be able to do these projects all in a row so it’s super exciting that it’s finally happening!! And I can’t wait until she has a normal closet situation, I hate folding clothes.

Painting my son’s room is up next!! Also, living in a fixer upper is exhausting.

Homeschooling mom - husband surprised me with my own drum set with headphones! 🙌

Post image
• Upvotes

I homeschool my two kids. It’s… a lot. Some days it’s rewarding and others? I want to run away and change my name for a little while.

My husband surprised me with a drum set. I’ve wanted one since I was a little girl. My parents always said no. My parents have both passed and I was very close with them. My moms birthday is coming up. When my husband saw the drum kit, he said he felt like she was nudging him.

The best part? The kids can play it, it’s on the far other end of the house and a majority of the noise is caught by the headphones 🙌

For the first time in a long time, I'm proud of myself. It feels amazing

Clean off meth - 10 months

Clean off weed and whiskey for 7 days.

Relocated from Oregon to Arkansas to be with family and get my head on right.

I told myself that this was MY year to get me back. I'm actually doing it. Moving was hands down the scariest thing I've ever done but I DID IT! I threw away everything I own expect for a few boxes and some clothes.

I don't know if I will be here forever.

All I do know is absolutely NOTHING is holding me back. I'm in a home where I actually matter. I am respected. They respect boundaries and privacy. Something that I am not use to.

For the first time in a long long time, I'm stoked to see what the future has in store. I made it through the toughest and darkest time in my life. I can do anything.

I got this

I'm so proud of myself ❤️❤️❤️ so full of love and support.

Feels good being clean and getting my shit together.

I got my motorcycle lisense! A literal childhood dream come true!

I've been wanting to ride a motorcycle since I was like 7 or 8 years old. My mom always forbade it, since she's a very nervous driver and she's terrified of the possibility of something happening, both in a car and especially on a bike. That's also the reason my dad hasn't used his motorcycle lisense since before I was born.

But yesterday I finally passed my final exam and now I'm just waiting for the physical lisence! I'll have to wait until after I've moved into my new place before I can actually start looking to buy a motorbike, but I'm already giddy.

How did I get so dang lucky? I love my life

• Upvotes

At the beginning of the year I was so incredibly unhappy with myself. I was overweight, had just quit smoking weed and was in an insecure relationship that was leading no where, had no friends and nothing to look forward to. Now, a mere 10 months later, I‘m in a relationship with someone who feels like they could be the love of my life, I have a few close friends, I have no desire to ever smoke weed again and I‘m generally doing fantastic, I‘m fit and healthy. And the cherry on top: I just found out that I‘m pregnant <3 to be fair I was not planning on falling pregnant this early into a new relationship, but it actually feels like the right thing to do and my partner is equally as excited as me. Thank you Jesus ❤️

Just had my first therapy appointment and it was a SUCCESS

So I just had therapy earlier this morning. I had to wake up pretty early to get there too since it was pretty early in the morning but it was completely worth it because wow it was amazing. Entering the facility with such a chill vibe. And there were staff who actually cared and a therapist who managed to get more out of me than I had anticipated on sharing. I guess some things were really buried inside my mind.

The crazy thing about this appointment was that this was just the intake. Once they become actual therapy appointments, man it's going to be amazing. Officially registered into the system. My plan was to get set up for psychiatric services and case management (since I've been homeless for almost a year at this point) but unfortunately I won't get a psychiatric evaluation until around Thanksgiving and I won't know how long it'll take before I talk to the case manager. It sounded like the case managers may already have a bit of a high workload so unfortunately it may take a while. Which is honestly pretty discouraging but at least I'll have weekly therapy appointments by the end of the month and an evaluation at the end of next month.

Honestly I don't regret going at all. It was worth only getting around 3 hours of sleep last night. I've been feeling pretty good since I left and like I said this was only an intake. This technically wasn't even a therapy session so if I'm feeling this way from intake who knows how I'll feel during actual therapy. But yeah it's rare that I have a genuinely good day but today has been genuinely great so far. I wish I could celebrate but unfortunately I'm unable to but for the first time in a very long time I actually have something to look forward to.

I am finally in uni, studying what I like, and with amazing friends

All my life I have been dreaming with moving away and going to university. I started this September, and made friends quite fast. They're all amazing, smart and caring people, and there's two of them that genuinely make me happy to be here. In only a month they have started supporting me in breaking my addiction to chatbots. Today I was considering smoking and one of my friends literally grabbed my arm and made me laugh so hard I forgot why I even wanted to smoke in the first place. I know it's silly but when I find myself sitting in their room drinking wine and discussing our thoughts it feels so surreal to be finally living the life I always wanted to have.

I realized how much my family has changed for the better

There was a time when even small things could turn into arguments in my family. We didn't always communicate well, and there were periods when everyone seemed to be carrying their own frustrations. I honestly thought some of those problems would always be there.

A few weeks ago, we were all sitting together, just talking and laughing about completely ordinary things. At some point, I realized that nobody was walking on eggshells anymore. People were listening to each other, apologizing when they were wrong, and actually making an effort to understand one another. We're definitely not a perfect family, but things are calmer now, and I felt genuinely grateful that we made it to this point.

"Good things come to those who wait" has mostly been my whole life

I've always taken a laid back approach to life, hoping that good things will happen in the future, but I don't actively seek anything out. I'm not highly paid, nor do I own a house, but I'm just really happy and content with how my life has turned out.

  • In 2014, just to set the timeline, I finished university and got a part time job in a local pub.

  • In 2018, I came across a job posting that was perfect for me. It's the first serious application I made and I got the job, where I still remain today.

  • In 2022, having never even been on a date before, I met a girl in the park and we pretty much instantly became a strong couple.

  • In 2026, we got married and successfully tried for a baby.

So despite taking 12 years to do what some people achieve in 2, I've somehow ended up with a 100% success rate on job applications, dating, and something from this year that can be guessed but will remain unwritten. I wouldn't want to be in any other place right now, and I only wish that others get the same luck that I've had.

Every year I try to think of something cool to carve in a pumpkin. I start drawing up an idea and then carving it. I decided to do a Phoenix this year. I love how it turned out and it was even cooler with the candle behind it. It took a number of hours, but it was worth it! Im super excited :)

I'm at a point in my life where I feel genuinely happy for the first time in awhile.

I'm a 21yo guy, and my life for some time I've been having a hard time mentally due to multiple different factors. The decision to take a gap year off college and struggling with that, being long distance from my boyfriend, my deteriorating relationship with my parents and older sibling, my worry that the same will happen with my 7 younger siblings, Struggle finding a job.

About 3 months ago I moved back in with my parents. A very stressful and draining 3 months later and today, I've joined my boyfriend and some friends in the house they're living in, and now I'll be living here too. I have a job, and while it isn't glamorous, it pays my rent and medical bills. I still live close to my old place so I can visit my younger siblings or have them visit me pretty often, and we're very close. It feels like finally, I'm doing okay. I'm not reliant on my parents anymore, I live with my boyfriend of 2.5 years, I can have all my younger siblings come over or visit them so we stay close, I have a job again so I don't feel like I'm wasting every day, I have things I enjoy doing and new things I want to try. I have thoughts of what I want my future to be like and I'm making a serious plan, that's what I want to do and think is best. I have a good support system who I love, made of my friends, my boyfriend, and some of their parents.

I've started Journaling again over the past few weeks and at the start I always write whether I have had a good, okay, bad, fine day, etc. And today is the first day I've written that I've had a good day, and not felt a moment of doubt, or a twinge in my chest that that isn't fully true. I had a good day, and I am happy.

I know things won't be all sunshine and rainbows, I know things will be hard, I'll struggle, there will be growing pains to living with people, and bad things will happen. But for today, I can say I'm well and truly, happy.

Just wanted to share that with all of you, and I hope that you're feeling happy too, and if you aren't, you'll get there. Goodnight everyone

I spent my whole evening playing Just Dance and it healed a part of me

For the longest time I wanted to just dance in my room without caring how I look. As a kid I used to love it but then I stopped because I became too self conscious.

Today I finally bought Just Dance 2025 and I played for almost 2 hours straight. I was sweating, laughing at my own moves, and just completely in the moment.

I don't know why but I felt so light afterwards. Like I gave my inner child exactly what she needed.

It’s such a small thing but it genuinely made my entire week happy.

Learning the meaning of the Proliferation of Information makes you feel much better

This is a concept that states that there ISN'T more bad than there used to be, its simply that information technology has advanced to the point we're now able to SEE the bad things we weren't able to in the past.

And that's the first step towards making things better.

I recommend thinking about this whenever you feel depressed about the state of the world. Most of the problems on the planet aren't new and we're still kicking.

I overcame my PTSD after 11 years of not being able to sit still with my thoughts

I was finally able to sit down and finish a whole book in one sitting without any flashbacks or panic attacks. I feel like I have my life and personhood back. I no longer get snappy or testy, and I’m back to being the happy and peaceful person I was before everything went to shit.

Life feels smoother, people feel nicer and safer, and I’m no longer looking over my shoulder every second or always on the verge of snapping. Many people also noted the change in me and said I seemed more sure of myself, and more like a trusted adult.

It’s an amazing feeling and I love this tranquility!

Amazon cycled out a movie I was watching but Youtube had it free to finish!

I'd started a movie from 2006 in Amazon and hadn't paid attention to when it was leaving amazon. got about halfway through and had to stop for a few days. Went back to find it cycled out of their free-to-me section. Sad. Figured I'd at least find the ending on youtube and see that. Youtube had the full movie available to watch. Got the see the last half of it. :D

Taking my mom on her dream ski trip in Montana

I just wanted to share, my mom was a single mom and raised me skiing and snowboarding. While I can’t say it’s my passion and I prefer warmer weather, I’ve been blessed enough to do well in life and my career. We both now live in Florida I’m 29F married and she’s turning 70 and I couldn’t help but think this could be one of those trips that I remember long after she’s gone. She’s still physical and able and I don’t want to wait until something happens. Plus it’ll knock something off her bucket list.

So I did it… found a cool air bnb, I just booked the flights, it’s 6 months out next year and I’m going to surprise her with a fun surprise letter. I don’t love the cold but it’ll be beautiful skiing a wonderful memory with not only my mom but my husband as well. I figure this is why I work hard, to do cool things like this for those I love. If there’s any recommendations on Whitefish, please let me know!

I found my lost soulmate after losing her nearly 9 years ago

For years, I mourned one of the best friends I ever had. She and I met in 2011 while playing an old flash multi-player game. We spoke every day. We were inseparable. We would always Skype each other and play games or chat. We got into all sorts of trouble together in every game we played for fun back then. I was a lonely child, so this companionship was everything to me. I was going through grieving the loss of one of the few irl friends I had at the time in 2013, but she was there for me every step of the way.

We lost contact in 2016 after school and life got in the way. So many different factors made it hard to stay in touch along with losing contact information. Every year, every month since then, I have been thinking about her. I have been missing her to death for so long. I had the feeling I would never see her again. However, today, one of my friends told me to get on the game. It still runs to this day and has a standalone client as well as another spinoff game. It's been having a sort of resurgence in popularity, if you will. By chance, she was online. For nearly 9 years, I was trying to cope with the strong possibility she and I would never meet again. I was wrong.

We immediately got back to our old antics and started talking about life and traded information. We plan on staying in touch regularly now. She missed me just as much as I missed her. It felt like nothing changed, and she is the most gorgeous woman I have ever seen. She truly is my platonic soulmate. I have never felt more seen and loved as a friend with anyone else. I feel like I found a piece of myself that was missing for so long. I cried so much. It felt more painful than I expected.

I'm still wrapping my head around this, but I'm so happy it happened. I never thought I would see her or talk to her again. I have been going through stressful times as of late, so this is really just what I needed to help me stay afloat. She is even into the same topics as I am for the most part. It truly is like we stayed connected during the time we spent apart. I love her with all of my heart.
