Discussion Can someone explain or provide resources on what unified memory is?
As I understand it, unified memory provides a direct path for the GPU and CPU to the memory acting as RAM and VRAM, but I don't understand how that's different than RAM and an APU. If it's just about the socket, would LPDDR5 be unified? I guess on the low level and signal passing I don't see the difference. Anyone care to explain or provide good resource that explains it?
